Freaky Shit That Scares Me a Bit (Yay Rhyming!) - Halloween Edition
Hello people!

Okay, dad just divulged something that COMPLETELY freaked me out and I totally believe him, so tell me what you guys think. It's frightening, that's for sure.

Dad gets up before everyone else in the house. Usually at 5:00. And he comes out to the living room and watches the news. Lately, cuz of Halloween, he's been downloading freaky music to play in our haunted tomb outside. He downloaded this CD of scary music, which includes some Egyptian stuff (teh theme of our set-up).

He got up this morning, as usual, and got on the computer. He started listening to a few of the songs whilst by himself (alone and in almost complete darkness - the TV was on but was turned down). He swore he heard someone walking down the hall. He recognized the breathing as mom's when she's sleeping.

Someone with mom's voice stood in the living room doorway and said, "Eric." That's dad's name. Dad turned and said, "What?" The scary part? Nobody was there. NO ONE. Mom was still in the bedroom, sleeping.

Remember a while ago, when I mentioned all those weird things happening around the house? Kay, well I forgot about 'em til now. And on the eve of Halloween. I'm a tad freaked out, I must admit. *shudders*

Thoughts?

Love y'all - Mira/Doc/Kat *meow*

Scary!

At least it's a nice ghost - that likes to do laundry, peruse the internet, and play Xbox. That part makes it a lot better!

My parents had some FREAKY stories about one of their first houses. I can't remember them right now... I think I blocked them out. Something about an item that kept returning in the basement. It was a crazy story though and my parents were not the type of people to make stuff up! Once my mom saw the ghost of my father's father. She told him he had to leave their house and he did.

The house I grew up in scares me to this day. I hate sleeping there - it's like the place is haunted by ... I don't know. It's like pure blackness. I used to wake up in sheer terror when I lived there. I'd have dreams like I was being sucked into darkness. Cold black pure emptiness... Terrifying. It's really hard to describe. But when I woke up it would feel like something was there - so I can't say pure emptiness. But the something feels empty. I wish I could describe it better.

I HATE sleeping over there by myself now. If my husband and son are there, I still can't sleep but I'm not quite as afraid. But if I'm alone, I get seriously scared. It's like something terrible is hanging over me. I swear I hate that place. I would never tell my mom because she lives there alone - and she loves that house.

My husband agrees with me. He thinks there's something really terrible there. He swore he saw stuff back when we were dating. Scary!

That house is in North Attleboro, Massachusetts. It was all native American land. My brother used to find arrowheads (and fossils from the Flintstones Era:) Anyway, my mom always says if you're quiet you can feel the spirits of the Native Americans in the area. The scary abyss thing doesn't seem to be related, but I don't know. I mean, who knows. There could be a burial ground right near there.

It's funny because on one hand I really wouldn't even say I believe in that stuff. But then I've seen so much. Then I wonder if I just put it out of my head because it scares me. The house we just bought is peaceful. Thank goodness.

Once I was in our apartment near UNH (like 12 years ago) and I felt a cool presence by me and I was positive it was my grandmother. I just knew it. I said hi to her. Sometimes I talk to my dad when I'm at my mom's. (He died there - He had lung cancer and came home with hospice. It's incredibly sad - I'm sorry!) But a couple times I talked to him. I'm not sure if he's there. He was pretty quiet when he was alive. :)

Those are all of my ghost stories. Your ghost (if there is one) seems pretty nice. :)

HOLY SHIT. That scares me and I haven't even experienced it, dude. Fucking scary.

Wow, that stuff is really scary. GAH. I must lock my door tonight, lol. Ghosts freak me THE FUCK out. I totally believe in 'em. I don't know why, I just do.

last commenter has a le petit prince icon! loves! that is the book I read while waiting in line for TCR, lol.

I think ghost things are really scary and not in a good way. well, sometimes in a good way. I find ghost websites/stories/television programs extremely compelling, but then when I'm trying to fall asleep I'm worried. your father's story would just freak me out. especially when I was younger I would spend so much time just terrified, and for no good reason. for like 5 years of my youth I would not be in a level of the house without someone else. no being downstairs unless someone else is downstairs, ditto for upstairs.

however, the idea of seeing outdoors ghosts interests me. I think cemeteries and old legends are cool. visiting buildings that are supposed to be haunted also interests me. I think a haunted school would be fun too. I have read so many obscure websites about hauntings all over the place.

(I just noticed that if I post now it will show up as being on Halloween, lol...)

I live in a pretty old building now...it's pushing 80 yrs...and I have always wondered if there's some juicy history to know about. maybe my own room has something. although if it does, I guess it should really keep it to itself! *shakes fist at surrounding air!*

Totally. I concur. I used to be too afraid to go to the bathroom at night (in our old house) cuz I had to walk past the basement and it scared the hell outta me.

WHOOT! <3

Ooh, cool! HAHAHA. XD

:}}} I'm pretty sure he's not trying to freak me out. He wasn't even telling me, he was telling my mom and I just overheard him. *shudders*

Ahaha. That actually sounds pretty sweet. Even though, if it was in my house, I'd be so freaked out it's be hilarious.
