The Black Mambo, Which is What Lou Bega Calls His Penis
Hello people!

I had a dream last night that I was riding with my family in this golf cart-type vehicle. We were driving around a toy store (yes, inside a toy store), looking for something in particular. We passed a section of Jurassic Park toys, and I said, "Jurassic Park toys?! I'm getting off here!" I jumped off the cart and my parents told me to wait, but they didn't stop. I looked at all the toys and they eventually came back for me.

I grabbed a bunch that I wanted and then, suddenly, I was sitting at a table with all my toys and a bunch of other people. We were at some kind of demonstration where this semi-angry lady explained to us how to use our toys. Ya know, incase we weren't sure. *rolls eyes* We got glow-in-the-dark paint and started fiddling with it. Then I woke up. Dad got me up at about 10:30 this morning. I immediately took a shower.

I killed a little time til about noon, when mom got home from work. She, dad and I went out to go bop around this little town mom wanted us to see. It was kinda dinky, but oh well, I guess. We went to a book store and I found an awesome new book. Ya know those "-ology" books (Dragonology, Egyptology, etc.)? There was a new one: Spyology. It's chock full of facts about spies in history and codes and suchwich.

I thought it was awesome and asked mom if she could get it for me for Christmas (meaning check it out on Amazon, cuz it's prolly cheaper there, lol). She just picked it up and bought it right then and there, lol. So at least I know I got it...? XD WHOOT! I don't get it til Christmas, though, of course. *shrugs* S'all good. ANYWHO, we stopped at a few antiques shops and then we went to lunch at this teeny little restaurant.

I got a club sandwich; it was quite tasty. After that, we went to some country stores and Christmas stores and the like. It was kinda boring, but I did find a really cute ornament that I got (it's a snowflake with a little snoman face in the center). We stopped at an ice cream shop where I got a milkshake called, "Chocolate Cow." It was chocolate milk with chocolate ice cream. SO GOOD, holy monkeys. Mmm. <3

Then we headed home and, well, here we are. I've been thinking a lot lately about how I'm having a lot of trouble keeping up with you guys on here and balancing that with everything that's going on in real life. It's a lot to think about, ya know? But I don't want to lose you guys. SO, I've got a short little meme for you guys to do real quick to refresh me on wassup with you guys! I hope you'll take a sec to do it. :]

The title of this post is, I believe, something Stephen said on Thursday's Colbert Report (I've been watching it with Aaron lately! :D). It's nice to watch TDS and TCR again, I've missed them. Anywho, I know Stephen said something along those lines, but I don't recall the quote exactly and the video's taking an extremely long time to load, so I can't check it. But here it is, incase you wanna watch it.

She Says the Suit Has More Sex Appeal Than He Ever Did
Hello people!

I'm feeling like everything is pointless at the moment...I hate this feeling...ugh.

Dad woke me up at 8:30 this morning, and I went downstairs to take a shower. We all got ready to go out; today, we celebrated dad's birthday (even though it's actually tomorrow) cuz I have to go back to school tonight. We went to a Halloween store to get stuff half off. It was awesome! I got a shimmery pink tie, red and black striped socks, a pentacle necklace with little blue orbs at each point of the star, and a Greek arm cuff.

Unfortunately, the cuff is a little smaller than I thought and doesn't really fit on my arm. But perhaps it'll fit on Jen's? *shrugs* Dad got a TON of stuff, mostly clown/circus decor for next year's theme for Halloween. I'm not looking forward to that; clowns really scare me. In fact, one of the things dad got is terrifying and I hate it. *shudders* It's a life-size clown with a dagger in its hand and it's so hideous. Bleh! D:

It was about 11:00 when we left and we were hungry, so we went to Ninety-Nine for lunch. We all got chicken tenders and we all enjoyed them, lol. We had a really good time there; we were totally silly and they played awesome tunes, and even our waiter was a pretty cool dude ...he was kinda cute, too, hehe. After that, we decided to go to a Barnes&Noble down the street. We were there for a long time; easily three or four hours.

I didn't buy anything, but I flipped through a few books and sat down and read this one called, The Box. Yes, it explains the origination of the movie, but the story in the book is a little different, methinks. Also, the book had a handful of short stories, including, "Button, Button," which is what inspired the movie (The Box). ANYWHO, one of the stories was about this guy, Charlie, who couldn't function without wearing each piece of his suit.

If he didn't have his shoes on, he couldn't walk, if he didn't have his hat on, he couldn't think, etc. Charlie's brother, a drunken man whose name we never find out, is telling Charlie's story to a stranger at a party on the balcony of an apartment. Charlie's brother explains that, last week, Charlie's suit came to life, put itself together in front of the mirror, laughed at Charlie (who was curled up on his bed), then went to Charlie's job.

Miranda (:D), Charlie's wife, left him for his suit and said that *points to title of post*. The stranger that Charlie's brother is talking to says something like, "Really? You don't say..." and then Charlie's brother passes out from being so drunk. The stranger stands up, goes back into the party, gets Miranda and leaves. The End...get it? The stranger was Charlie's suit, lol. ;D I thought that story was pretty funny.

So, yeah, we sat in the store for a while and I drank some coffee. Around 4:00, we went on home. Mom finished dad's birthday cake (which is more like a pie than a cake...actually, I think it's cheesecake...I don't know, lol) and I helped her do some dishes. Now we're watching football. Oh, and FUCK YEAH to the Dolphins beating the Jets today! That made my day. XD <3 We're gonna have dad's cake soon...YAY!

I'm heading back to school at about 7:00, which I'm not looking forward to. I desperately wanna just stay here and hang with my family. OH, guess what? My mom said that if I hurry up and apply to the school I'm gonna transfer to (Champlain College) and get that shit done, then I can just leave Green Mountain at the end of this semester and can just live at home and work til August! :D I'm so excited for that! <333

Listen to Me, And Enlighten Me
Hello people!

So, it's 5:30 in the morning and I'm still awake.

You see, while at the book store today, I noticed a Halloween/horror display. I figured I should try to be a mature adult and check out some of the stories since I actually do find them interesting (they just usually scare the fuck outta me). So, I read through a book called, Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid (scary urban legends). I really should've taken the hint from the title, but I was being stupid and read through half of it.

Well, fast-forward to now. I tried to go to sleep at 3:30 and was too terrified of the dark. Now I'm lying in bed with my huge light on, listening to a long playlist of cheerful, rocking songs and intending to watch season one of House and season four of Monk til teh rents wake up. It also doesn't help that I watched Lady GaGa's MTV awards performance of "Paparazzi," then looked up the official video for it a few hours ago.

Why do I do such stupid things? GUH. I just need to accept that shit is gonna scare me no matter what and stop trying to toughen up, cuz it's not going to happen. Anywho, I traded out some old icons for newer ones (only a few, though), including the one I'm using right now. I love it, I think it's quite fitting of my mood. Okay, that's about it, I just wanted to post something cuz I feel if I'm up so late (or early, whatever), I should post, lol.

You Put the Bread IN the Toaster, Then It Becomes Toast!
Hello people!

I was up a little late last night and Nick came downstairs to hang out with me (I was watching TV). We talked for, like, an hour. It was amazing. Sometimes, I'm so impressed with the person that Nick is. The older he gets, the cooler he seems. It was great. <3 :]

I was woken up at 9:00 this morning. I got online for a moment and then got ready to go with mom to her 11:00 appointment. We left at 10:00 and got there at 10:40, and the lady who scheduled the appointment called to say she'd be twenty minutes late. We passed a Starbucks down the streets from the lady's house, so we went back there. I got a caramel macchiato, which tasted terrible.

It wasn't nearly sweet enough. I asked for another shot of caramel syrup, then added two packets of sugar and sprinkled some chocolate powder in. Unfortunately, the lid on the chocolate powder container fell right off and into my coffee. Awesome. I scooped it out with a couple of those super-long stirrers. After that fiasco, I finally got to drink my coffee and it turned out pretty delicious! :D

Mom and I chilled for about half an hour and just chatted and whatnot. Twas quite fun! Then we went to mom's appointment. Unfortunately, it lasted about two hours (they're usually only one hour). I fell asleep for an hour-ish; that was nice. And a TON of great songs were played on the radio today, so YAY! We finally went to Olive Garden for a late lunch around 2:00. I got the ushe and had my cake to go.

It was delicious, of course. We passed a Barnes&Noble on the way to OG, so we decided to go there for a bit. I got Paper Towns (the John Green book I have yet to read); the reason I waited so long was cuz I prefer books in paperback. Plus, they're much cheaper that way. I also got a notebook from the line and style that I love so much (the ones made by Savannah College) on sale at half price! <333

We wanted to stop at the bank so I could deposit my check, but it closed at noon, so alas. I could not. Anywho, there was a Christmas Tree Shop in the mall where the book store was actually located. Mom loves that store, hence, we went there next. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a pretty shitty one with nothing mom wanted. We left for home at about 4:45 and got there at, like, 5:30.

When we got home, we kinda just chilled. I got my shirts from BustedTees in the mail today, but I realized when I opened the package that I stupidly ordered sizes that were too small. *facepalm* SO, I'm exchanging them for the right sizes and the new ones should arrive in a couple days. Seriously, if there's anything I can say about BustedTees, it's that their delivery is insanely speedy. It's incredible!

My order shipped two days ago and it was here today. How epic is that? Just saying. Moving on. Now, teh rents and I are watching Hell's Kitchen. Somehow, it's making me hungry. Jeezus, I STUFFED myself at Olive Garden, how can I be hungry? My body is stupid. X] I'm gonna practice some bellydancing tonight and I'm hoping to go to bed around midnight. I'm freaking exhuasted. *shakes head*

Title of this post is from iCarly. Tomorrow's the premiere of Dexter. I'm staying home to watch it. X] My parents are THE. BEST. EDIT: Oh, I forgot to mention. When mom and I were in Starbucks, she told me that she wouldn't care if I dated a 40 year old man once I'm out of high school. I am pleased.

Why Is There a Helicopter In the Background? ...It's My Stomach, I'm Hungry
Hello people!

I was up late again last night, playing MGS and helping Nick make pasta salad. Nick watched me play for a while, then dad demanded I do the dishes (at 1:00 in the morning), so I did those. I got up this morning at 8:40, when mom woke me up. My alarm was set for 9:00, but I forgot to tell her that, so oh well. I got dressed and got ready and played a little MGS before we left.

We went to mom's first appointment, but mom picked me up some hash browns from Burger King first (<3). Around noon, we went to pick up Celtic from the Rascals vet place. OMG I forgot to mention! We dropped her off there yesterday to have her spade and de-clawed and get her immunizations and suchwich. Anywho, we picked her up today and she's just as wily (sp?) as ever.

We headed right home after that and fed Celtic. I read my new book for a bit while mom talked to her new lawyer about the NY closing. At about 2:00, mom and I went back out to Sam's Club to fill my prescription for my birth control. We also picked up a couple random things (Zyrtec, wine) then went over to Wal*Mart to get baby food for Celtic and some facial scrub for me and mom.

We got the Clean and Clear acne system thingy, which I'm excited to start using. I got a fitted sheet for my bed for college, as well as some root beer and such. We came home after that and I went to my room to play more MGS. I got all the way to the REX battle again, but once again, even though I'm far better equipped than I was the first time, I can't beat REX. I'll ask Nick to do it later.

Oh, remember a while ago when I mentioned that I have summer work for college? I have to read that book, The World Without Us. Well, I read about fifteen pages of it and had to put it down cuz it's so goddamn boring. No offense to anyone who likes these kinds of books, but I am really completely uninterested in the environment and CO emissions and whatever.

It spent the first chapter talking about some tree that used to cover Europe but no longer does. Sorry, but that's what man does to nature. Let's move past it, please. I literally cannot get through this book, I'm gonna have to find Spark Notes or something. Maybe I can get mom to read it and tell me about it. She reads books really fast. I have to get it done to do my assignment.

Um, anywhoooo, I have two things to share with you guys, lol. Firstly, Toby Turner (you know, that amazing, awesome, kick-ass guy on YouTube who I'm a huge fan of and have a bit of a crush on) left me a comment on one of my older vids where I prompted my then-up-coming vid, "New Installment of 24." All I have to say is SQUEE, you guys, SQUEE.

OMGOMGOMG )

Also, you MGS fans (I know there are few of you on my flist, but ya know) prolly know about this already, but there's this thing on YouTube called Metal Gear Awesome. OH. AND. David Hayter (who voices Solid Snake) knows about Metal Gear Awesome and likes it! :D I find that endlessly cool. Title of this post came from the vid, lol. So, here ya go. X]

OMG HOTNESS I WANNA BANG YOU )

You Should Crawl On the Ground Like the Snake You Are
Hello people!

I set my alarm for 10:00, but I didn't get up til 11:00 today. It was kinda nice to sleep that extra hour. I needed it; I was up til 3:00 last night. I beat MGS (with help from Nick for the REX battle - I beat Liquid atop REX myself) and started a new game, cuz once you beat it, you get a special gift afterwards; if you let Meryl live, you get a bandana that gives you infinite ammo.

If you let Meryl die (which is what I did), Otacon gives you a stealth camo suit, which makes you invisible. Once you save after beating the game, you can play it all over again, but now you have whatever you won at the end of your first game. So I'm playing through with my camo suit and it's super fun. You can punch a guard or throw a stun grenade and they just get all confused. XD

When I got up, mom told me she was going to Dayton with dad and that if I got dressed real quick, I could come with. I did so and wound up having to wait forty minutes til both teh rents were ready to go, lol. *shakes head* I watched a little Judge Karen and basically just chilled. We headed out around noon. Our first stop was a place that makes custom t-shirts for businesses.

Mom needed to get some new business shirts cuz her old ones are worn-out, so we dropped off her shirts there and then headed to The Christmas Tree Shop. I LOVE that store and I always freaking will. I got my own plates, plastic-ware (but the kind you keep! :D), cups, washclothes, dish towels, flip flops (for the showers), and an apple-corer, all for college! <3

I'm so excited, it's really fun to get my own, ya know, kitchenware and bath stuff and whatnot. I just feel so grown up, lol. X] After that, we went to The Greene (<333) and spent the next hour or two at the book store. I got a cheese danish and a frappe and this really awesome book (thus far, anyway) called, "Killing Spree" by Kevin O'Brien. I like his style of writing, so I'm stoked to read more.

We stopped at Panera for me before going home cuz the only thing I had to eat all day was that cheese danish. I got my ushe sandwich and we finally went home. Oh, earlier in the day, dad got pissed at mom for making him miss his turn, but she was already crushed after having talked to the lawyer about closing on our NY house (everything's all good now, thankfully).

So I told him to just shut up about it and move on, and dad said something like, "No, she blames me all the time, blahblahblah." And then I said, "You know what, dad, let it go, mom already feels terrible." But you see, dad's got this hard-set belief that all women will grow up to be controlling, psychotic, bitch wives to their husbands. That includes me, and he mentioned that in the car.

I almost swore at him right then (which I don't ever do), I was so pissed off at him for saying that. He didn't say those words, exactly, but he said something about me marrying a guy and ruining his life, and I said, "I'm not getting married." and he said something like, "Well there's one guy who's safe." Like, seriously, you just told your fucking daughter that she's gonna ruin a man's life?

Fucking thanks, dad. THANKS. I seriously fucking hate him sometimes. Who says that kind of shit? God. Anywho, um, now we're home watching Cash Cab. We're gonna watch some Burn Notice later and then I'm gonna go back to MGS. Speaking of, title of this post is from the game. I wanna play MGS2 with Nick, but he's feeling sick today, so he's prolly gonna sleep.

There's a new show on Showtime (or is it HBO?) called, "Hung" about...well, a guy who's hung, lol and, with the help of his friend, he pimps himself out to lonely women, lol. It looks seriously hilarious, not to mention dirty as all get-out. But alas, I don't get Showtime or HBO, lol. Uh...yeah, I don't really have anything else to say...

You Know What a Cow Bark Sounds Like, Dontcha?
Hello people!

Today was pretty awesome! :D FINALLY, lol.

I had a dream that I was in this class where we had to do this huge project with a cooler and paint and pictures and stuff. But my teacher wouldn't explain to me what I was sposed to do exactly, and I was getting really upset and pissed off. I started crying and the teacher just kept saying that I should just use paint and be creative. And everyone else in class was laughing at me.

Then I woke up. *shakes head* Stupid unconscious self. Dad came in my room and woke me up at 9:47 and said that he and mom were gonna go to some stores today, would I like to join them. I said of course and quickly got ready to go. Well, we didn't end up leaving til, like, 11:00. So, I got a bowl of Cheerios and played some Splinter Cell til teh rents and I left.

We first went to Starbucks, where I got myself a coffee and spent the last of my gift card that I got for my birthday. *sadface* Our next stop was Barnes&Noble. We were there for a good three or four hours! :D We finally planned out exactly what we're going to do with our new kitchen. I dunno if I said this before, but the house we bought is freaking RIDICULOUS.

And by that, I mean, it is one of the most poorly designed houses I have ever seen. The kitchen is one of the biggest problems, considering that we need to use it right away. So we're fixing that up first. I'll take pics and video of it before and after. Anywho, mom and dad got some design books and I found a bunch of books on sale and I still had money from yesterday, so I got 'em!

I got Traveler's Guide to Ancient Egypt, which has a shitload of info about life, buildings, and religion, The Serial Killers Club, which is about this guy who accidentally kills a guy who was sposed to kill him and via this now-dead-killer, he gets into this club of serial killers and plans to kill them all himself, and I got a new journal from the series of journals that I fucking LOVE.

They're made by this art school in Georgia and they are gorgeous. They're my fave, and this one was half off! <3 We went to Johnny Rocket's real quick after that and got some late lunch at 2:00. I got chicken fingers and they were delicious. OH, and "Respect" started playing and the whole staff of waiters/waitresses went to the middle of the restaurant and danced! <333

I love when restaurants do that. Have you guys ever heard of Kahunaville? It was in Connecticut (or maybe Massachusetts?) and the workers there danced to "Walk Like an Egyptian." So awesome. Um, yeah, so, moving on, we made a quick stop to Wal*Mart for some groceries and then our last stop was Target. Mom and dad found air conditioners for our new house.

Ya see, we don't have central heating or air conditioning. So, until we can set that shit up, we have to have individual air conditioners in each room. We bought three of those, and we found the absolute perfect mini!fridge for me for college. It's got a separate door for the freezer and this cute little soda caddy thing and a vegetable/fruit drawer and a freaking lock on the outside! :D

Unfortunately, the only one they had at the store was in bad shape, so we're gonna find a brand new one that hasn't been thrown around at a different store. And, it's made by Emerson, so I'm gonna name it Waldo. ;] Finally, we came home and watched Burn Notice. Tonight, The Next Food Network Star is on! I freaking love that show. And I love Jeff. He's sexy. ;]

Title of this post is something silly dad said in the car earlier. You had to be there, lol. Oh, gosh. RIP Billy Mays. I know a ton of people didn't like him, but, ya know, he's as much a part of my childhood as freaking Spongebob. I will remember Billy Mays for my whole life, man. What a loss to the pitchman world. :'( And the abundance of celebrity deaths lately is scaring the fuck out of me. *worried*

I, Uh...I Couldn't Sleep, I Was, Uh... Too Sexy?
Hello people!

God, what a shitty day today has been. I hate it when a bunch of small things happen that make the whole day crap, ya know?

I had a dream that I was in a cooking class and we had just finished taking an exam (I've never taken a cooking class...). Phil Hartman was a classmate of mine (WTF?) but he was an adult. I know, so weird, but kinda awesome. XD He was himself, so I was all excited about meeting him. And he sat next to me! <3 The teacher was this really quiet, petite, timid woman.

Apparently, I had lent her some tupperware and serving dishes and such, and mom wanted me to get them back. The room had these shelves up on and against every wall, with dishes and tupperware piled to the ceiling. I went around the room gathering the ones I thought were mine. I noticed a few bowls that I thought might be mine but I wasn't positive.

Phil and this girl who was my friend, I guess, came up behind me and Phil whispered to me that I should be sure which ones are mine and which aren't, cuz the teacher would get really upset if I took her stuff. I panicked a little since I was so unsure and put the bowls back. Then I was suddenly home, searching through my bag for a project I'd started for a class final. Then I woke up. *shrugs*

I set my alarm for 7:00 so I could feed the kitten, let the dog out, and free the cats from their laundry room prison. But for some reason, my alarm didn't go off til 9:00 this morning. I have no idea what happened, but it threw my whole day outta whack. I was still exhausted after I took care of all the animals, so I went back to bed til 11:30, when I officially got up.

I fed the baby again and let her run around for a while. Around 1:00, I finally got online. I've been watching The Nanny most of the day, of course. I intended to take my little motorized scooter to Kroger to pick up some groceries and I was hoping Nick would go with me cuz I need someone to watch over the scooter while I'm in the store since I don't have a lock for it.

BUT, [a] it started raining, and rain+motor=bad idea, and [b] Nick figured it'd be more fun to hang out with his dumbass girlfriend instead of help me. So that's what he did. I got the mail and found a package from Green Mountain (college) waiting for me. I thought it was the "tech agreement" that I never fucking got that allows me to register for classes online.

Boy, was I wrong. I got an environmentally-themed book called, The World Without Us, which sounds totally crappy to me, AND I have a worksheet to do on the book. Seriously? I mean, SERIOUSLY?! I thought I wouldn't have to do summer work anymore. I can't believe it, and it really pissed me off. And yes, I'm a lazy ass, but all of you should know that by now, lol.

So, then, I went to feed Celtic again and something happened with the bottle we feed her with and it spewed out formula all over my favorite shirt. Not only that, but the exact same thing happened to me yesterda. I hand-washed the shirt yesterday cuz I still wanted to wear it, but I gave up today and just put on a big comfy shirt and sweatpants.

Following that, I was so upset with the day that I got two Klondike bars, put 'em in a bowl, and covered them in whipped cream. I know it was sooooo unhealthy and bad for my diet but frankly, I don't give a flying fladoodle. Mom called me and said that she and dad went to Friendly's, which used to be my fave restaurant in Connecticut. She said she wishes I'd gone with them.

I wish so, too. But Nick would've burned the house down or something, I just know it. And I know this is stupid and totally out of character for me, but I'm kinda jealous that my brother, one of the meanest, lamest, most unattractive people I've ever known, somehow has a girlfriend and yet, I don't have a boyfriend. I mean, I don't think I'm a big catch or anything, but I think I'm at least better than Nick.

That sounds terrible, but whatever. *headdesk* I'll give you three guesses where the title of this post came from, and two of them don't count. I'm feeling nauseated and tired and I'm thinking of going to bed early.

Love y'all - Mira/Doc/Kat *meow*
