The Black Mambo, Which is What Lou Bega Calls His Penis
Hello people!

I had a dream last night that I was riding with my family in this golf cart-type vehicle. We were driving around a toy store (yes, inside a toy store), looking for something in particular. We passed a section of Jurassic Park toys, and I said, "Jurassic Park toys?! I'm getting off here!" I jumped off the cart and my parents told me to wait, but they didn't stop. I looked at all the toys and they eventually came back for me.

I grabbed a bunch that I wanted and then, suddenly, I was sitting at a table with all my toys and a bunch of other people. We were at some kind of demonstration where this semi-angry lady explained to us how to use our toys. Ya know, incase we weren't sure. *rolls eyes* We got glow-in-the-dark paint and started fiddling with it. Then I woke up. Dad got me up at about 10:30 this morning. I immediately took a shower.

I killed a little time til about noon, when mom got home from work. She, dad and I went out to go bop around this little town mom wanted us to see. It was kinda dinky, but oh well, I guess. We went to a book store and I found an awesome new book. Ya know those "-ology" books (Dragonology, Egyptology, etc.)? There was a new one: Spyology. It's chock full of facts about spies in history and codes and suchwich.

I thought it was awesome and asked mom if she could get it for me for Christmas (meaning check it out on Amazon, cuz it's prolly cheaper there, lol). She just picked it up and bought it right then and there, lol. So at least I know I got it...? XD WHOOT! I don't get it til Christmas, though, of course. *shrugs* S'all good. ANYWHO, we stopped at a few antiques shops and then we went to lunch at this teeny little restaurant.

I got a club sandwich; it was quite tasty. After that, we went to some country stores and Christmas stores and the like. It was kinda boring, but I did find a really cute ornament that I got (it's a snowflake with a little snoman face in the center). We stopped at an ice cream shop where I got a milkshake called, "Chocolate Cow." It was chocolate milk with chocolate ice cream. SO GOOD, holy monkeys. Mmm. <3

Then we headed home and, well, here we are. I've been thinking a lot lately about how I'm having a lot of trouble keeping up with you guys on here and balancing that with everything that's going on in real life. It's a lot to think about, ya know? But I don't want to lose you guys. SO, I've got a short little meme for you guys to do real quick to refresh me on wassup with you guys! I hope you'll take a sec to do it. :]

2. Last song you heard:
3. Last book you read (or are reading):

10. Anything else to say?:

The title of this post is, I believe, something Stephen said on Thursday's Colbert Report (I've been watching it with Aaron lately! :D). It's nice to watch TDS and TCR again, I've missed them. Anywho, I know Stephen said something along those lines, but I don't recall the quote exactly and the video's taking an extremely long time to load, so I can't check it. But here it is, incase you wanna watch it.

See Me In the Morning for the Prize
Hello people!

PUMPKIN FESTIVAL DAY OMG!!!

I was woken up at 6:30-ish this morning and immediately took my shower. I got dressed and ready to go and we left the house at 8:30. I got to ride in the back of dad's van, cuz there weren't any other seats. It was cool, I laid down with the pumpkins and fell asleep (eventually). Mom bought us breakfast (I had two hashbrowns and Diet Coke), and we listened to our burned CDs of Brian Regan and Dane Cook and whatnot.

It was SO MUCH FUN. I love our comedy CDs. <3 We got to the festival about an hour earlier than planned - around 11:00. Hannah, Colby (Nick's friends) and Nick went their own way, while mom, dad and I walked around together. We agreed to meet up at 4:00 later on. We were hungry, so we stopped at this little "family-style" restaurant. I got chicken nuggets, which weren't that good, but the fries were amazing!

And they had home-made rolls that were so delicious! After that, we walked around and just popped into whatever stores we passed. There was a chocolate shop that had some yummy-looking candy; I got two swiss mocha chocolates (or something like that...). They were pretty good. I bought a Pumpkin Fest t-shirt and mom got an ornament and mug. We checked out a lot of jewelry stands, but nothing looked good.

Also, they were kinda on the expensive side this year. *shrugs* Meh. S'not like I had a crapload of money to spend anyway. I got this awesome snack called a Bloomin' Apple, which is like the Bloomin' Onion at Outback, but it's an apple (obviously) covered in melted caramel. MMM, so good. We pretty much saw everything by 3:00 and met up with the rest of the gang early.

We decided to stop in at the movie theater in town, where they play cartoons for free all day. We watched Bugs Bunny and Roadrunner cartoons for two hours. Next, we got hot dogs and hamburgers, then chilled til 6:30-ish, when the sky got dark and the pumpkins were lit. We went over to ours and took pictures and video. Everyone kept commenting on mine and dad's. :} It was AWESOME. <333

In fact, a guy came up and commented on mine, and Colby said, "She carved it," and pointed to me. The guy was like, "That's amazing! You should win a prize for that." I laughed, and then he said the title of this post, which tickled me, lol. Yeah, it was fun. :] At about 7:30, we finally went on home. We all slept in the car for a bit and got home around 10:00. I made myself a waffle and some sausage cuz I was still hungry.

Dad and I talked about Green Mountain and how he would understand and support me if I found a two-year school that I'd rather attend. I explained that I hate how it feels like all I'm doing is busy-work and I'm not learning anything, and that I know most schools are like that, rather than being about learning. He said he completely understands how I feel about Green Mountain (and most other colleges, really).

So, yeah, I think next year, I'm gonna find a different school and finish out there. It's hard to explain, but it really feels like college is a waste of time. It's not about learning, ya know? They just want us to do paper after paper, all of which mean nothing, and they're not really teaching me. Whatever, I'll worry about it later. I'm gonna put up my Pumpkin Fest vids tonight, but I'll be doing a picspam tomorrow.

None Shall Pass Before I Kick Your Ass
Hello people!

Oh, man, I slept so well last night. My room just made me really happy, lol. <3

I woke up at 8:45 this morning and went downstairs. I took a shower and was feeling kinda sick, so I asked teh rents if I could take a few hours to sleep and just relax a little. They said sure, so I did. I only got about an hour and a half of sleep, but I did get to chill, which was nice. I watched some WifeSwap and then Full House. Then I went downstairs and made myself an egg and sausage sandwich.

I did some dishes, then made the salad for dinner. My Busted Tees shirts came in the mail today! :D They're awesome and they fit and I'm stoked. AND, they accidentally sent me two of each shirt; one of each was female, size large and one of each was male, size medium. The male ones fit me better, so I'm gonna give away the female ones, but I seriously doubt people at school will want them, so...I dunno.

I would offer them to you guys but I can't afford to pay the shipping. *shrugs* Sorry! :( Anywho, Nick's friends, Colby and Hannah, stopped by and we all carved pumpkins together. I was totally unsure of what to do, until I went up to my room and looked around at my stuff...

I just needed a break... FROM WHAT? )

Whaddya think? :D I love it, I worked really hard on it. You can still see some pen-marks, unfortunately (I had to draw it on the pumpkin before carving it, of course), but it won't be as noticeable at night tomorrow when they do the jack-o-lantern count at the Pumpkin Fest. I said we're going to that, right? ...I think I did... Moving on, we all had spaghetti for dinner and now teh rents and I are watching TV.

We watched Bones, then The Middle, and now we're watching Glee. Title of this post is just a random joke from earlier. It's better out of context, lol. We gotta get up early tomorrow to get on the road, and I have no idea when we'll get back, so the blog's prolly gonna come kinda late, but I will have it up at some point. X]

We Managed to Avoid Drowning!
Hello people!

Whoa, I can't believe it's 6:30, I totally lost track of time today! :O

Um, oh, so, I had a dream last night where I went to dinner with my parents. I dunno why, but we took a limo there. We were gonna meet up with my (deceased) Grandpa D. and a friend of his. For some reason, I was hesitant to go inside, so I stayed in the limo for 58 minutes (yes, exactly 58 minutes). When Grandpa D. and his friend pulled up at about 10:00, I decided I'd stay.

I went inside, where teh rents were waiting, and we met up with Grandpa D. and his friend and all sat down at the counter (like a bar, sans alcohol, lol). Apparently, teh rents and I had already eaten dinner, so Grandpa D. and his bud bought us ice cream instead. It was GOOD. Then mom and dad and I were suddenly in a GameStop and I found a Solid Snake action figure.

I grabbed a ton of others – Psycho Mantis, Revolver Ocelot, etc. – and intended to buy them with my own money. Then I found little mini!board-games, which I used to get for holidays all the time. They're adorable!  There was one that said Jeopardy on the front, but the contents included little chess pieces and a chess board, so I put it back. I think other stuff happened, but that's all I remember.

I woke up at 10:30-ish and spent the next half hour on my computer. The day kinda switched off between lazing around and working. I did the dishes and made myself a sandwich. Then I went to my room and played a little MGS2. Nick joined me a bit later and we played our saved game together. We brought some garbage and some crappy boxes outside to the curb and played with the kitten.

"The Lost World" was on after all that, so I watched the last hour of it. I just realized today that the movie is COMPLETELY different from the book. It's like they totally disregarded the book and just wrote a new story. It's actually incredibly lame and depressing, when I think about it. I've spent the past two hours reading "Jurassic Park," "The Lost World" and Michael Crichton trivia on IMDB.

Title of this post is from MGS2. Raiden says it to the Colonel after swimming through a certain area. It just seems hilarious to me, lol. OH! So, Nick stumbled across this broadcast online (on justin.tv, similar to blogtv) where this guy was playing MGS. He talked to the guy and did his Solid Snake impression, and the guy LOVED it. Now Nick sometimes joins in on the broadcast.

He does his Snake impression and joins the convos and such! Here's the thing: if the guy gets more viewers and subscribers and stuff, he's gonna start paying his partners (i.e., Nick). SOOOO, I'm spreading the word about the broadcast. It's on late at night, so if you stay up super late, check it out. Nick's not on every night, but still. If you like whatcha see, pass this link around, please! :]

I decided last night that I'd like to keep a blog that my parents can read while I'm at college, but I don't want it to be this one, for blatantly obvious reasons. I made a new one here on LJ - except it's not a separate account, it's a comm. That way, I don't have to log out every day just to log back in. If you wanna join, you can, but it's just gonna be a PG version of this blog, lol. --> [info]miradoxical.

Um, yeah. Oh, oh, I did two more drawings last night; Liquid/Meryl and Ocelot/Meryl. I don't like the second one very much - Meryl looks kinda off and Ocelot looks wayyyy too young, but oh well. I'm starting my birth control pills tonight. :} I'm kinda nervous; I hope I don't have any of the crappy side-effects, like nausea for the first 1-3 packs...The Next Food Network Star is on tonight! :D WHOOT!

Your Religious Commitment is an Inspiration to Us All
Hello people!

I'm writing this in the living room. *sigh* Hate this fucking computer.

Um. Okay, so, I had a dream about Sam and Dean and food but that's all I remember. I set my alarm for 8:30 cuz I wanted to get up today (I was gonna do last-minute homework). I ended up turning it off and going back to sleep, but I got up an hour later, which is still not bad, imo. So, I got up at 9:30 and got on my computer, of course. I came out to get some Sunny D (this will haunt me for the rest of my life).

I went back to my computer for another two hours. Around 11:00, John Green (on Twitter) announced that he was broadcasting live from an airport on BlogTV.com, so I clicked the link he posted and actually got to chat a little with him! :D I asked him if he knew of Bo Burnham or Toby Turner and if he liked them, and he said yes to Bo, but no to Toby, and that he thought Bo was pretty clever.

Then I asked if he ever read Jurassic Park, and he said yes, he read a ton of Crichton when he was in college (SQUEE!). The last question I asked was how long it took for his first book to get published. He said it took him five years to write it originally, then six months to edit it for his publisher, then another two years to edit it over and over again until it was completely ready to be published.

At about 11:30, I went to take a drink of Sunny D and accidentally knocked my glass over and SPILLED ORANGE JUICE ALL OVER TYRONE. It went under the keys and through this little port hole thingy in the front of Tyrone and he froze. I immediately started to clean him up, obviously, frenzied and out of my mind, and then I tried to turn him off. For the first time ever, he would not turn off.

I took his battery out and unplugged him and finished cleaning him off. Then I tried turning him back on again (plugged him back in) and it was a no-go. Big surprise. I took him out to the living room and informed teh rents of what happened, fighting back tears. We called the guy who fixed Tyrone the first time (I kept his card), but he didn't answer the phone (I would assume he's not open on Sundays).

An argument broke out between teh rents (dad was slightly insensitive about my problem just cuz he wasn't in a good mood at all this entire weekend) and dad left to the grocery store. Mom and I had an hour-long conversation about dad and my grades (which mom didn't freak about AT ALL! :D <333) and life and success and failure and saving my hard drive and all that stuffs.

Mom hugged me while I cried for a good ten minutes about Tyrone. I've cried multiple times since then and I'm still shaking. I feel nauseous and all I wanna do is sleep and sleep and sleep til everything's back to normal and Tyrone works again (which isn't likely, btw). Look, I realize I have probably an unhealthy attachment to my computer (for fuck's sake, I refer to it as a "he"), but my life is on Tyrone.

My stories (every fucking story I've worked on since I GOT Tyrone), my school work, my pictures of myself and my family and vacation AND Kiefer and Stephen and Jon and the like (endless folders full of pictures), my music and downloads and CD's that were ripped (Lonely Island and everything I uploaded yesterday), all my fucking videos (every. single. one.). I need a new computer, unfortunately.

Let's face it, though: Tyrone is three or four years old, which is pretty old for a laptop. He's my baby and I love him and I can't believe I killed him. I kinda hate myself for being so stupid. *sigh* Anyway, um, so, I spent the next hour or two reading An Abundance of Katherines (AAOK). It was nice to escape into someone else's hopeless moments and confusing life for a while. And I miss reading. <3

I talked mom into taking me out for food cuz it hurts to just be in the house. We went to Max and Erma's. I got tortilla soup (so delicious) and chicken fingers and a glass of Cherry Coke. It was really good and I felt okay for an hour or so. Then mom and I went home and I broke down in the car to the point of shaking again. I'm really not handling this well at all. And it's only gonna get worse.

I haven't gotten any homework done cuz I told mom and dad I didn't have any and it requires a computer to do it. But I don't care. If anyone asks tomorrow, I'm telling them what happened and how traumatizing it is/was and I doubt I'll be getting much sleep tonight. Mom wants me to take a pill. Title of this post is something Colin said to Hassan in AAOK. It was hilarious in context, as Colin was being sarcastic.

There's iced tea in the fridge and ice cream in the freezer. Time to drown myself in sugar.

Love y'all - Mira/Doc/Kat *meow*

EDIT: I meant to say that I called Best Buy's Geek Squad and they said it's highly likely that they'll be able to save my hard drive, which means everything I listed above, lol. I sure as fuck hope so.

You Are the Weirdest Person I Know...And I Mean That in a Weird Way
Hello people!

Mom got me up at 9:30 today. Unnecessarily, if you ask me. ;] Budgie (cat) scurried in my room and jumped on my bed before mom could shut the door, which I normally despise, but he was really sweet this morning. He snuggled up to me and purred like crazy and he was just so cute. XD

I kinda just goofed off til 11:00, when we had to leave. Mom got me some Chick-Fil-A for lunch and we bought some sodas, then we headed out to the Home & Garden show. First thing we did was stop at the booth to drop some stuff off. Andrew was there (<3) so we decided to go check out the garden area where the Hollywood themed landscapes were. Unfortunately, the Jurassic Park one was much less than awesome.

The LOTR one was kinda lame, as well (it was Bilbo Baggins' house...just boring). I think the most impressive one was Castaway. It had a HUGE projected ocean on a big screen in one corner, a pseudo plane that was "wrecked" and was the entrance, a fake little fire on a fake little beach and some seriously awesome tropical plants. It was very cool and I'm gonna get some pictures before we go.

We went back to the booth and worked. I got to handle a lot of customers today, which was awesome. Mom complimented me (and I think she might pay me! :D), so, WHOOT. Okay, so, yesterday, when mom and dad picked me up, Cecil was right behind me leaving school and I noticed and pointed him out to mom when I got in the car. She didn't really say much except that he looked kinda dorky. *shrugs*

So I mentioned Cecil to mom today and was like, "Did you even see him?" and she said, "Yeah, he was dorkish." Then she started asking me why and such questions and I was like, "Cuz he's awesome, I just wanted to know if you'd seen him." Andrew heard me say that and was like, "Are you talking about your boyfriend?" And I started laughing cuz HAHA. I don't have a boyfriend.

And mom explained the Cecil's this super!young sub and he's really cute and funny and blahblahblah and Andrew was like, "Ohhhh." and then he and mom started joking about me wanting to date Cecil. *facepalm* I should've just shut up, lol. Mom mentioned that Cecil works at a local theater and I explained that I only knew that cuz another kid in class wanted to work at the same theater and asked about it.

And Andrew was like, "Yeah, and you were taking notes, right?" and he posessed a girly voice and said, imitating me, "'He smiled at 3:00 today...'" That made me facepalm and mom just cracked up about it. Then later, I suggested we go to the bookstore that just happens to be near the movie theater Cecil works in, and Andrew found out that that was where Cecil worked and said, "OH, THAT'S why you wanna go there."

I can't help but think of Election, though, lol. But I know they're kidding. *shakes head* ANYWHO. We kinda pigged out today. I've found that when we're at the show, we CONSTANTLY want food. And I do mean constantly. I mean, every second, I was chomping on something. I had a box of Gobstoppers that I shared with mom and Andrew and it's almost gone. I got a corndog around 3:00 and it was DELICIOUS.

They have the best corndogs here. My cousins have a booth here so they stopped by and said hello! It was GREAT to see them, we haven't seen them since, like, July of last year. Title of this post is something one of my cousins said. We also saw this woman that usually has a booth next to dad when HE has a booth here (he doesn't this year), but we didn't get to see her husband (yet).

I love her husband, dudes, he's hilarious (and kinda cute...SHUT UP). I took some video, but I'm gonna post it later with the pictures. Mom and I are gonna go to the bookstore after this (around 8:00 or 9:00) and I might be getting some coffee, but I'm not sure. Uh...yeah. I'm not gonna stay online cuz I feel bad for "ignoring" mom, but I'll be back in a few hours (between 10 and 11).

"I Am Certain There is Too Much Certainty in the World"
Hello people!

As I'd hope all of you know by now, Michael Crichton is, indeed, my favorite author. Jurassic Park was definitely the most wonderful, monumental novel I've ever read and it will stick with me forever.

Unfortunately, and thank you to fenellaevangela for letting me know (I'd rather hear it from a friend then an un-emotional prick on the news), Michael Crichton passed away today.

He was 66 and had cancer and apparently, it was rather unexpected. I must say, I cried when I found out. I always thought, ya know, he's still fairly young, maybe I can meet him someday, wouldn't that be amazing.

He was able to witness Obama's winning. Hopefully, it was a win for him, as well. I will always remember him and cherish the inspirational works of fiction (and non-fiction) that make you really think.

Michael Crichton, you will be missed. <3

We've Got the Best Balls in Town!
Hello people!

I am so tired right now. I couldn't get to sleep til 3:40-ish last night, and then I had to get up at 9:00 this morning. Whilst I was awake last night, I made a video and wrote a poem (WTF?). I had another weird dream where I was walking up the driveway to our front door and I had just gotten the mail. I looked through it and found a letter from a college that only did creative writing (that's all they taught) and I was accepted! If only it was reality.

When I got up, dad made me eggs and sausage for breakfast. It was pretty good, but he cooked the sausage with the eggs, and that made the eggs come out gray-ish from the sausage grease. That was pretty nasty. It tasted fine, it just looked gross. But it got me thinking about using food coloring when making scrambled eggs and how AWESOME that would be (green eggs and ham, bitches!).

Moving on. We left around 10:00 and got to the show between 10:30 and 11:00. That was dull as fudge, dudes. It was kinda busy, but there was nothing to do! And mom kept annoying me, so I wasn't in the best of moods. At 1:00, we left. We brought a couple things back to the car, but thankfully, we didn't have to take the booth down (which we normally do). Mom's doing that with Andrew tomorrow.

We got some more of the garlic dip that's so delicious, but I had to use my own check cuz mom forgot her checkbook and then she said she might not pay me back, which is really fucking annoying since I have no income perhaps I should get a job. But whatever. So, then we left and had to stop at the store for groceries. We got a bunch of yummy foods, so that's good. We got ice cream! :D YAYZ!

On the way home, we passed a golf course that had a sign that said, "We've got the best balls in town!" I almost started laughing, but I didn't, cuz I knew mom would ask why and I didn't wanna have to explain it, LOL. XD But yeah, I thought it was pretty funny. I wrote another found poem (this one was homework) using Jurassic Park, of course. I think it came out pretty good! And I'm gonna do one with MGS and maybe Macbeth.

I'm rather annoyed because we've got these CRAZY gusting winds going on and they keep knocking out the power. I wouldn't really care, normally, except it keeps fucking up the internet and I can't really use it, which is one of the few reasons I actually like being at home. *headdesk* But I get to spend time by myself in my room with candles and darkness and that's always fun for me. I love candles and darkness. I just need some coffee. <3

That's about it. It's Sunday, which means school tomorrow, and I really don't wanna go. I dunno why, but I have HUGE anxiety about going to school tomorrow. I did all my homework (OMG, shocking, right?), but yeah, I'm really worried. Maybe it's cuz interims come out this week and HAHA my grades blow already. That's cuz I have caught teh Senioritis. I will keep it under control, I swear. I'm starting to get into the groove of things again. My grades will be coming up, I just know mom won't understand if she sees bad grades right now. *shakes head*

Anywho, yeah, I think that's it. Oh! I'm gonna be making a dance video either tonight or tomorrow (or maybe Tuesday...) and I'll post it. It will prolly be very embarassing, but OH WELL. Colbertlove posed teh challenge and it is my duty to accept teh challenge! YOU SHOULD TOO (just go to her LJ and read her latest entry)!

Sneezer Doesn't Make Me Squeak

Hello people!

Last night, mom informed us that there would be a meteor shower at 6:00-ish in the morning. We agreed to get up then and watch the shower then Nick would have to get ready to go to *his* school day thing (cuz they're divided into grades). Unfortunately, I guess my parents slept past the alarm, cuz they didn't get up and they didn't get me up (and they were running around at 8:00-ish, so they must have slept way too late).

Anywho, mom was gonna take me with her when she took Nick to his school day, so we could get coffee and chat, but I was exhausted - didn't get to sleep for a while last night - and I had to take a shower, so I stayed home. I kinda regret that cuz I *really* want some coffee now, and we only have crappy coffee here. *guh*

Mom and Nick left for the school thing (and mom had to stop at the office for a bit), and dad went to work, so for THREE HOURS I had the house to myself. I never, ever get the house to myself, and I didn't do much, but just knowing I'm completely alone kinda makes me happy. I blasted music crazy loud and it was awesome.

I did the dishes, took out my garbage, did some laundry, and then beta'd my wifey's latest chapter of her kidverse!fic. It was actually a rather busy morning, lol. Mom and Nick came home too soon and Nick and I played some more Tomb Raider. I know it sounds like we should be through the game by now, but trust me, it's a *very* hard game, especially for a PS1 game. Several times, we've had to consult a walkthrough.

My September issue of Seventeen Magazine came in the mail today (which is kinda strange, cuz I saw it at the store a week ago and I usually get my issue before the store does...). Miley Cyrus was on the cover, and though a lot of people don't seem to like her, I really do. She said she was really religious, but I don't think she's the type to push it on you, so that's cool. If people don't like her cuz of the pics scandal, they should read this article. It's enlightening.

Um...mom got really tired at one point and came into Nick's room (where Nick and I were playing) and just slept on Nick's bed for an hour, lol. I wish I could take a nap, I'm freakishly tired. I stopped playing around 2:00, actually, and kinda just hung out with Nick until dinner, but we're gonna play a little more at 8:00.

Okay, coupla days ago, mom and I were hanging in her room and I said, "Budgie wants to come in." cuz Budgie was scratching at the door. Mom was like, "No, I don't want him." and I said, "You had Squeaker in here!" (another kitty of ours) and mom said, "Sneezer doesn't make me squeak." What she meant was, "Squeaker doesn't make me sneeze." but, ya know. So, yeah, I thought it was funny.

I haven't watched any TDS/TCR in a while and it's building up again. I really need to watch those. And I have to read (yes, I know, "get it the fuck done already"). I wanna thank talim_hime for making me a special icon from a screenshot of Final Fantasy. She was playing last night and saw a T-Rex in the game and said she remembered that I love Jurassic Park, so she made me a special icon as a present! <333

Oh, last night, celli_puzzle and I talked for a really long time, and I swear, it is so fun talking to her. We have the weirdest, most hilarious, most inappropriate and awesome conversations ever. We talked about psychically fucking other people...being slashed by our very own fangirls...and the existence of "fuck me dumbly" weaponry in Whatthefuckistan. XD Yes, quite fun, lol.

Tomorrow is Wednesday. I suppose I should count down the days til I'm thrust back into the fiery depths of Hell (i.e.: school). Survey says: six days of freedom left.

Remind Me to Thank John for a Lovely Weekend

Hello people!

Well, as explained earlier, I had that awesome dream last night and woke up around 10:00 this morning. I didn't really do anything for a couple hours, then, around 1:00, my mom started yakking to me about college. I know it's important, but she constantly repeats herself and it just annoys me to talk about college with her. *SIGH* Oh, well.

So, I really wanna go to Ohio University (NOT Ohio State), which has an amazing writing program. It seems like a really cooly college and its campus is in the shape of a PENTAGRAM! How awesome is THAT?! <3

Anywho, then I got married (YAYZ) and then...oh, mom left for an appointment for work, and I told dad that I was indescribably bored. He asked what I wanted to do. I said I wanted to play video games, but we didn't have anything good. Then, the most brilliant idea ever came to mind, and I asked him to take me to GameStop so I could buy The Sims2, like I wanted a couple days ago.

After some convincing, dad finally agreed to take me! :D We found The Sims2 AND Call of Duty: Frontline. I wanted to get Mission Impossible that we used to own, but I wasn't sure if it was PS1 or PS2. Dad said it was PS2, and I trusted him just cuz. So we got one for the PS2, but it wasn't the right one, and I didn't figure that out til I got home. And it turns out it was a PS1 game. Guh, suckish.

The title of this post is from Jurassic Park, which was on USA on Saturday night. Ian Malcolm says it after having encountered the T-Rex, I believe. He's got some of the best lines, I swear.

There's this sketch on SNL called "Da Super Fans" which used to have Chris Farley. I dunno why, but I think it's one of the funniest things ever. And one of my cats is named, "Budgie," (pronounced "boo-jee"), and almost everytime I see Budgie, I say, "Da Budge." XD And now I've got my dad playing along, lol!

I made a couple icons yesterday based on some things Stephen said in some TCR episodes I watched on Saturday. "Applauding Chaos" was what he said to the audience during...um...an interview, LOL. I don't quite remember what it was about.

And then there was an interview where Stephen was talking to this guy who suggested vertical farming. Stephen had a hypothetical picture of what it looked like and put it up on the screen behind the table and the guy said, "Yeah, it's very eco-friendly and..." blahblahblah and Stephen said, "Plus, it's pleasantly phallic." X]

Speaking of phallic, I'd like to thank everyone for weighing in on porn. I believe it can be quite the awkward topic in certain situations, but you guys were all great about answering my question, lol. So yeah, THANKS!

I'd Like to Check Out That Meme, Please

Hello people!

GAH! BOOK MEME! Snurtched from

[info]roseganymede.

1. Pick up the nearest book.
2. Open to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the next three sentences.
5. Tag five people, and acknowledge who tagged you.

Jurassic Park, page 123: Wu tried to think of another way to press his case. But the fact was that, after five long years, Jurassic Park was nearing completion, and John Hammond just wasn't listening to him any more. There had been a time when Hammond listened to Wu very attentively.

I'm gonna do this for another book, too, cuz COME ON! THIS MEME IS MADE OF CRAZY WIN!

Wigfield, page 123 (while Russell Hokes interviews himself):
ME: Why don't you want to talk about it?
ME: This interview is over!
ME: Is it? Why do you carry the receipt to a storage locker located in Canton?

This was fun. FUN. I might do this one again in a while. WHOO! :D I tag EVERYBODY!

Are These Characters Auto...Uh...E-Erotica?

Hello people!

Well, um, last night, my uncle came over and gave us presents (as I said earlier). Surprisingly? He got us awesome presents! <3 I got a flameless candle, a new Miami Ink t-shirt, some hair thingies, a teeny little teddy bear, some body spray and whatnot. He did give me a clown thing, which is NONONONONO cuz clowns scare the fuck outta me *shudders*, but other than that, he did a great job! :D

At midnight thirty, we hit the road. I gotta say, I hate riding in the car. I really hate it. I mean, it's better than flying (cuz flying also scares the fuck outta me), but surrsly. It's terrible. Everytime you fall asleep, you get pains in your neck or back. You only sleep for, like, two hours, max, and then when you wake up, you feel depressed. And, in my case, when you get hungry, you also get mildly nauseous. Guh.

But, I am glad we're going to Maine. It's gonna be awesome. And we made really good time! We'll be at our destination after about four or five hours of driving tomorrow, and that's pretty freakin great. When we got to the hotel, we kinda just chilled. Not like there's much to do anyway. We watched Cash Cab (cuz YAY, we get Discovery Channel here), but we missed Jeopardy. *tears*

Um, and then...oh, well, then I took a shower and watched Jurassic Park on my laptop. <3 Speaking of, the title of this post is from Jurassic Park. Gennaro says it when Hammond's showing them the "educational"-esque video towards the beginning of the movie. What Gennaro means is "animatronic," cuz he (and the rest of the gang) was watching scientists work with the dinosaur eggs and DNA, and Gennaro was wondering if they were actual people or if they were robots set up for the "ride." I thought it was funny.

There's (unfortunately) not much else to say, so I spose I'm headed off to bed now! I haven't slept much in the last 24 hours, so, yeah, sleeping sounds AMAZERING. I'll post again tomorrow - YAY WE'LL BE THERE!

Again, Only This Time, With Meme!
Hello people!

Supremely bored=don't wanna study=time for that awesome music/drabble meme I did a while back.

10 Music Drabbles
1. Pick a character, pairing, or fandom you like.
2. Turn on your music player and put it on random/shuffle.
3. Write a drabble related to each song that plays. You only have the time frame of the song to finish the drabble; you start when the song starts, and stop when it’s over. No lingering afterwards!
4. Do ten of these, then post them.

Fandoms = Supernatural, House, TDS/TCR, Jurassic Park, Little Miss Sunshine, SWC, Midnight Run
Pairings = Sam/Dean, Grant/Malcolm-(ish), Chuck/Geoffrey, Jack/John-(ish), Jon/Stephen, Frank/Dwayne-(ish)
Music = Multiple songs on Windows Media Player 10
Warnings = Slight incest, chock full ‘o’ gay, a bit ‘o’ sadness put in for good measure
Disclaimer = If I owned any of these wondiferous things (shows, characters, songs), I wouldn't be writing drabble bout them.
Rating = PG-13, R (for swearing and implied sex)

Do Ya Think They'll Put That on the Tour?

Hello people!

Today was decent, I must say. Plus, it's FRIDAY, so, YAY!

Alrighty, in Math, we just did some more unit circle stuffs. So, then, Chem, we did a review paper. Blah. AP Euro, we watched a video about...um...shoot...oh, the 20th Century. It was kinda coolyish, I spose...I didn't fall asleep during it, so that's good, LOL.

German, we watched Narnia. There's a scene where the two sects are separated on this field and preparing to fight, and they do that whole "charge!" thing and fight. Well, today, when that scene happened, Adam kept saying, "That's from Lord of the Rings. And THAT'S from Lord of the Rings. And THAT'S from the SECOND movie..." And all I could do was laugh.

Brit Lit, we...uh...oh! Poetry, we listened to poetry about one of the wars and whatnot. That was dull. Creative Writing, we did peer editing, and OMG, it was SO MUCH FUN! David and I were kinda joking around with/picking on Amanda for the book she'd read (which was for 5th graders and had size 16 font), and she told David to go fuck himself (jokingly, of course), and David was like, "I might need a little help." And man, it just spiraled outta control from there. He mentioned something about his flexibility and that he might throw his back out or something. GAH, it was great.

I chilled outside with my parents this afternoon until it started raining. We ordered some pizza and a sandwich (for me) from Donatos and it took about 45 mins for it to get here. I always order the grilled chicken ranch sandwich, without the tomatoes, onions, peppers, and ranch. Basically, I JUST get chicken, bacon, and lettuce. Well, the last time I ordered it, they got it wrong. This time...they got it wrong AGAIN. Grrness. So, even though I didn't really want him to, my dad called the place and complained and now we get a free sandwich on our next order.

We watched Bones, Miami Ink, and Rules of Engagement, which we recorded earlier this week. All of the above were really good. After that, I went to my room to watch House on my DVR, but when I pressed play, it wouldn't go. I was like, "WTF?" So I tried to play a few of the other things I had recorded (TDS, TCR, John Oliver's comedy act), but nothing would play. The John Oliver thing played last week, no problem. But now nothing's working. I think I have some surrsly huge problems with my stupid DVR. My parents are gonna call the idiots at the cable company and get it fixed tomorrow, thankfully.

I've got the SAT's tomorrow morning. It sucks, cuz I gotta get up really early, but I'm not really worried bout it. I think it'll be fine. And my mom might take me out to Olive Garden! So, YAY! :D

Oh, today, Mr. DeChant (Creative Writing teacher) was checking our rough drafts to see that we'd gotten them done. He came to mine and picked it up and flipped through it, not really reading it through just checking it. I dunno if something caught his eye or what, but he said, "Are you gonna write novels when you're older?" and I was like, "Yes, I am." and he said, "You've gotta [send] me your first one cuz I wanna read it." That made me SO SMIRKY, lol.

Jurassic Park was on AMC tonight and when I turned it on, it was at the part where Malcolm's sitting in the Jeep, waiting for Ellie and Muldoon to get back, and the T-Rex comes up to them. Ellie and Muldoon get back in the car and Muldoon starts driving, and Malcolm's like, "MUST GO FASTER." That's such a great line. And then, once they get away from the T-Rex, Malcolm says, "Do ya think they'll put THAT on the tour?" That's where the title of this post came from. *LOVES* that movie.

Time for some commentary on the differences between the book and the movie (Jurassic Park). Under the cut incase you don't care or you haven't read the book/seen the movie, lol (*spoilers alert*).

So, then, after Jurassic Park, I went to my parents' room to chat with 'em and say goodnight, and we ended up having a HUGE conversation about Sega Genesis, Playstation1, and Playstation2 video games that we love(d). My bro joined us and OMG, it was prolly the funnest thing ever. What started it was my bopping around on Amazon (though I don't remember what for). I came across "Parasite Eve," which is a PS1 game we had, but never really played. Then we started reminiscing and we talked for an hour and a half. I loved it.

Tomorrow's Free Comic Book Day! HELLS YEAH! I gotta find a comic book shop in town tomorrow. I hope I can find a decent one; I want free comic books! XD

If you haven't already, check out the meme I posted before this! :] HAPPY FRIDAY!

Yeah, I Go to School With Miley Cyrus, Zach and Cody
Hello people!

Fuck. God fucking damn it. I wrote an entire, lengthy blog and hit "post" and my computer glitched and erased everything. *tears* I'm this close to cracking, I swear. *breathes slowly*

Okay, let's try this again. I'm now running on a total of 10 and a 1/2 hours of sleep, since Monday night. And again, I'm exhausted. But I'm not complaining (that's a lie)...

Today was rather suckish, actually. Math was unbelievably frustrating! We were sposed to do this worksheet for homework, but the damn teacher didn't TEACH US how to do, like, half the sheet, AND, he never told us to switch our calculators from radians to decimals, so all of our answers came out fucked up. I *hate* it when teachers do that; forget to teach us something that we need to know. It's so annoying.

Chem, we just did calculations. So, get this; I walked down the stairwell and stepped into utter darkness. The power had gone out all over the school. There are no windows in the hallways, so it was pitch black. A lotta people had their cell phones out in an attempt to light the way, but it really didn't help much. I made it outside without much trouble, but wow, it was pretty hard to see and a lotta people were bumping into each other.

AP Euro, there were mas more of the note lecturey-ness. Then, towards the end of class, we were notified that we should stay in our current classes til we're told otherwise. We waited for a little over an hour. We could HEAR the buses outside, waiting for us to be let out. Five more minutes, and I swear, we would've been dismissed to go home. But NO, the power HAD to come back on. I hate you, electricity.

We continued onward through a two-hour delay schedule, which bumped our lunch back an extra 50-ish minutes, and we were starving, so that sucked. But we got to play board games in German, and I played Risk with Zac, Adam, and Michael (with Jen as an observational advisor, lol), so that was fun. I've never played Risk before, and I must admit, I rather enjoyed it...it was pretty cool if not indescribably confusing

So, then, Brit Lit, where we kinda had free time cuz of the delay schedule. Creative Writing was another work period. I owe Zac, (S')Michael, and Amanda HUGELY for doing word counts for me and my freakishly long summaries for that Jurassic Park paper I've been working on the past coupla days. *LOVES*

I got home today feeling really sleepy, but I couldn't get to sleep. It's hard for me to get to sleep during the day, though I dunno why. Oh, well. So, I got a new Seventeen Magazine today and flipped through that, then made my bro and myself dinner (egg sandwiches = YUMMY), then watched the news.

The night was a little...disjointed, for lack of a better word. My parents and I were hardly ever in the same room, which is highly unusual for us. We usually watch TV together. But I think my mom and dad were arguing, so, yeah.

Back to You was good tonight. That's where the title of this post came from. The daughter had a picture of Miley Cyrus in her room, and Chuck was like, "Who's that?" and Gracie (the daughter) said, "Miley Cyrus." and Chuck was like, "Is that one of your friends from school?" and Gracie said, "Yeah, I go to school with Miley Cyrus. Zach and Cody are in our class, too." Being a Disney Channel fan, I found that scene amusing. And BOTH my parents knew who the girl was talking about, which made me smirky, lol. I've taught them well. *beams*

American Idol was HILARIOUS tonight! The woman that called in, Tara *mumbles*something*mumbles*, who was Simon's first crush/kiss was AWESOME! I loved their interaction. Simon looked SO embarassed and Ryan looked unbelievably smug, lol. And I *love* that Brook went home tonight; I dunno why, but I just never liked her much. Although, I did feel bad for her when she started to cry. They shouldn't have made her sing.

I had an argument with my mom and then my dad yelled at me, so I'm not in the best of moods right now. Sleep will make me feel better though.

I was thinking about my fanfic writing, and I used to write smut all the time, like, two years ago. Then someone left me a disconcerting comment/constructive criticism on one of my smutty stories, telling me it was awful (and she was right). Ever since then, I haven't been able to write smut; I just lose my will to do it. I end up over-thinking everything.

So, I've decided to try my hand at writing smut for a fandom I don't care much about. That way, I'm not as concerned with the emotional ties and I won't over-think it. So, I'm gonna dabble in some Grant/Malcolm writing (Jurassic Park!pairing!). Maybe, if I think it's good enough, I'll post it (UNDER A CUT, lol) next week-ish.

GAH! This video makes me laugh so mucho, lol. Tis a Daily Show vid from 2006, and it's Bush-centric (of course). I think this is some of Jon's best work. He's so adorkably hilarious. X]

I didn't read any fanfics tonight, so I have no recs and am feeling depressed. I'm gonna get some juice and go to bed. Mmm...juice and sleep.

Open Up the Vent - Relieve Some Pressure

Hello people!

Oh, cheese. The icon I'm using to post this (*headdesk*) seems fitting, in a way. Except, I'm not laughing.

What a shitty way to start a week after having such a non-shitty weekend. Okay, so we have this project in Creative Writing where we read a book (hence Jurassic Park), then write summaries for every 1/8th of the book. Jurassic Park, in paperback, is about 400 pages, so that's 50 pages per summary. Do you know how much I suck at summarizing? And I just finished the book today, so, yeah.

Here's why it's so bad; I wasn't notified of the summary part of the assignment until I was about 5/8th's through the book. So, I figured I'd just read it the rest of the way through and then write up the summaries after. Well, then I got sick for two days and played catch-up for the rest of the week and read nothing all weekend. And with every passing second, I forget more and more about this book (at least, the beginning).

Oh, and I haven't written any summaries yet. I mean, that's not true, I've written two since I got home. So I still have six to write, plus (at least) three character analyses, and three theme analyses, and all of the above is due tomorrow. Now, I know that you're gonna say I should've started it sooner, and to an extent, you're right. This is partially my fault. But I think some of the blame should also go to my teacher, who is trying to give us very short deadlines cuz of the seniors' early graduations. That hardly seems fair to me, but there's nothing I can do about it.

I also know that you're prolly gonna say that I should not be online right now, typing up this blog, when I still have a shitload of work to do. Well, it just so happens, that my brain shuts down if I do schoolwork for too long. I start to overthink shit and my eyes begin to hurt *a lot* and I can't focus. Blogging helps me calm down, so that's what I'm doing. Trying to calm myself and not feel so godDAMN overwhelmed.

The worst part? I can't even watch the House premiere, which is *checks watch* about now. And I had to record Bones to watch later, even though my parents totally watched it without me (which they *never* do). So, this is pretty much the suckiest day I've had in a while. I wanna cry a little to relieve some stress and then go to sleep and not get up til Friday night. That would be lovely.

People in comas have no idea how lucky they are. *smirks* I'm so longing for that comatose feeling right now. And it won't come til midnight, when I go to bed. Expect an actual blog later on. Just kinda venting right now.

Love y'all - Mira/Doc/Kat *meow*

He Died a Virgin...What a Noob
Hello people!

GARFLAGUM! I totally had an awesome day! AWESOME! And I expected it to suck so many noodles! So, yeah, I'm pretty freakin happy, lol.

Let's start from the very beginning - a very good place to start! I made up a math quiz, which I think I did alright on, then we took another math quiz, which, again, I think I did alright on. And Jordan, one of my buds in math class, brought in cake for everyone! :D *LOVES*

So, then was Chem, and we had a quiz in there. I totally spaced on what the standard pressure is in STP, but other than that, I was fairly confident in my work. Then was AP Euro, and we kinda did nothing. We had an assignment, but nobody really worked on it. We partnered up, and my partner was Chahinez (sp?), and she's awesome, so I was happy bout that. Plus, we chatted with Justin and Henry (who are both in our chem class with us), and that was fun.

Uh...then was German. Since our class is mostly seniors, and most of the seniors had gone to a summit thingy today, there were only FOUR PEOPLE in our class today. Two of them I don't really talk to, the other was Michael, but he was on the computer most of the time, so we didn't chat much today. But I got to listen to my music all period and hang around LJ and whatnot, so that was fun.

Then Brit Lit, we did blah work, but I read Jurassic Park, WHICH IS THE BEST BOOK EVER WRITTEN. Period. Then Creative Writing and we kinda just chatted in that class, which was fun! :]

I had to go wait by the bus to tell my bro that we were getting picked up cuz he didn't have his phone so I couldn't text him or anything. So, I chatted with our super cooly bus driver, who told me that she practiced Wicca for four years! She said that stuff actually started happening and that someone close to her ended up dying...and that she had to stop cuz bad stuff was going on. I was like, "WHOA." But it was really interesting, lol.

I was SUPER worried bout my interim grades, but I explained stuff to my 'rents, and it turned out GREAT! They didn't yell at me at all, and I brought my AP Euro grade up from an F to a B! YAY FOR JEN WHO HELPED ME! XD So, I was pretty damn happy about that.

I read fanfics and rocked out to awesome tunes all afternoon til Jeopardy. It was prolly one of the best days I've had all week. We had grilled chicken and cucumbers for dinner, which was DELICIOUS, and then watched Reaper (YAY) and Ugly Betty (YAY)! Gah, such a great day.

Explanation of title: tis from Jen's meme that she "yoinked" from me, lol. I *LOVED* the following lines:
>>>>>>>> “Isaac Newton died a virgin,” he reminded her.
>>>>>>>> “And what does Keats say about that?”
>>>>>>>> “What a noob?” he tried, using slang he’d heard her using before.
So, I put 'em up as the title cuz it made me laugh hysterically, lol. And YAY for Jen for doin the meme of pure awesomeness!

PLUS, tomorrow, Jen's comin over for a Movie!Fest which is gonna be PURE FUN! So fuckin hells to the yeah! X}

Gotsta take a shower. Loves to be squeaky clean, ya know!

I Haven't Seen Her Around...Maybe She Died
Hello people!

This is a rather early blog post, but I'm feeling a tad pissed off and this is my way of venting, lol.

Explanation of title real quick: this girl on my bus is freaking out cuz she thinks another girl is gonna come beat her up. The girl on my bus (A, we'll call her) was asking a friend of mine (Dakota) on the bus about the bully in question. And Dakota said, "I haven't seen her around in a while, actually..." and A said, "Maybe she died!" And she got all excited. I just thought it was hilarious.

Moving on...

Let the record show that I fucking hate people. I *hate* them so goddamn much, I swear to a god I don't believe in, I think I could be brought to kill someone if I got angry enough. Allow me to extrapolate...

For the past two-ish weeks, my bro and I have been sitting in the same seat together on the bus every morning. Quite a bit ago, I posted about how I'm OCD when it comes to seats on the bus or in class because I really don't like people taking my seat, whether we're assigned one or not. If I sit in the front seat everyday, that's my damn seat. So, today, when I saw people SPRAWLED OUT across the first three or four seats, I got pissed. I couldn't sit with my bro (and he's quite funny and enjoyable in the morning, so that sucked) AND jackasses had taken my seat. *guh*

So, then I got to school. Math was fine. We took a quiz that was relatively easy, so I'm not worried bout that. Chem was fine, we just did notes and bookwork (is that one word or two?). AP Euro was cool, we watched a video on Hiroshima by BBC, so it was pretty good quality and whatnot. Even German was okay; like I said yesterday, we just did some more bookwork.

But on the way to lunch, people were walking UNBELIEVABLY slow, and I can NOT fucking stand that. Seriously, if someone's walking even a little bit slow in front of me, I will speed up my walking just to pass them, even if I don't normally walk that fast. I *hate* it so goddamn much when people walk slowly in the hall, or pause to talk to someone, or stand in a group in the middle of the hallway chatting.

I was on my way to the cafeteria and I said "excuse me" to this girl in front of me to get around her. I was being totally polite, no rudeness at all. And as I walked away from her, I heard her say, "Ugh, EXCUSE ME!" all sarcastic and bitchy and whatnot. That surrsly pissed me off. I almost turned back to say something to her, but I was already late for lunch and I was buying today, so I had to hurry if I wanted to finish my lunch in the next 20 minutes.

Next was Brit Lit, and AGAIN, we read poetry. I know I've said this time and time again, but it bears endless repeating; I *HATE* POETRY. Creative Writing was a reading period. So we read. Again. And Amanda wasn't there, so I had no one to talk to (David and Dan were there, but I don't chat with them all that much during that class).

When I got home, I was obviously just a tad annoyed. Not enough to be mean to my 'rents and bro, just, ya know, not all upbeat and perky. Bout half an hour after we got home, my mom started asking my bro where the paper for the printer was, and he had no idea. I told him where it was (I was pre-occupied at that moment and couldn't get the paper myself), and he looked for it.

Well, he's an absolute IDIOT when it comes to looking for things, so he wound up not finding the paper. Then he called me clueless for suggesting that the paper was where I said. So I, being done with my activity, stormed into the living room and got the paper out from EXACTLY where I'd told him, and I said, "You're the one that's clueless." Then he told me to shut up and go to my room. He's so goddamn lucky that I don't wanna get in trouble, or else I would've gone up to that stupid face of his and punched it as hard as possible.

I stormed back to my room and slammed the door to express my anger (cuz when you're angry, it feels so good to slam things), and my dad came and yelled at me, not knowing of the situation that went on in the living room. My mom was reprimanding my bro, which made me a little happy, and then yelled at my dad for yelling at me, which made me a little happier.

More shit happened that made me annoyed with my parents, but it's so long and monotonous, I'm just gonna be done now. Um...oh, I saw a post today about a clip from a Jared Padalecki interview on the CW website, so I watched the clip, and OMG, it was *so adorkable*. But I went to the CW site to watch the whole interview and it would not load. Nothing would load. It pissed me off a bit more, lol.

I read about 40 more pages of Jurassic Park today. It's so unbelievably fantastic, I can't believe I'm just reading it now. I *love* Dr. Grant and Tim, and Malcolm's super cooly, too, but jeezus, John Hammond is SO ANNOYING. In the movie, I really love that character, and I love the guy who plays him, but in the book he's an idiotic, naive, shouty old man that doesn't wanna hear what anyone else has to say if it goes against what HE has to say. *facepalm*

There's this ice cream truck that drives around my neighborhood every now and then when it starts to get warm out. The weird thing about the truck is that you can constantly hear the music, but rarely do you ever actually see the truck. I've always heard the music, and it always sounds like it's coming right down your street, but then you look outside, and it's not there. The music is still playing loud and clear, but there's no truck in sight. I've dubbed it (and its driver), "The Demon Ice Cream Man" cuz I think it (and he) may be just that. *hears music* GAH!

Um, okay, so now I've got lotsa fanfics to read and a couple to write and some music and Jurassic Park and Jeopardy (soon) to cheer me up, so I'm gonna get to those. I *might* post again later...to letcha know my thoughts on American Idol and Men in Trees, both of which are on tonight...I think there's something else, but I can't think of it. *shrugs* Oh, well.

Living in the Age of Colbertius

My Life Partner, Doritos, and I are Going to Philly

Hello people!

Explanation of title: tis a quote from Stephen Colbert's guest radio appearance on a station in Philly, where he currently is for this week. He's doing a special for the Pennyslvania primary and has moved his show there for the next few days. He was talking to the radio hosts, and one of them said, "You and Doritos are going to Philadelphia -" and Stephen cut in and was like, "That sounds like we're a gay couple. 'Yes, my life partner, Doritos, and I are headed up to Philadelphia..." I just thought it was cute, lol. Oh, btw, to you Colbert fanfic writers out there, I wouldn't mind seeing something incorporating the Big Stew angle and working Doritos in there somewhere...*hint, hint*

Kay, I'm a tad frustrated, cuz I typed up about half this damn thing already and it glitched and I lost everything I typed. So now I'm starting over. *breathes slowly*

Math...we just kinda reviewed for a quiz we have tomorrow and - WHOO - I didn't study, lol. Um, then was Chem, and we just did book work, which was boring. AP Euro, we watched some more of that Brit video...also quite boring.

German was okay; the seniors have to do this big test thingie but they can work together in a group and it's not due til, like, Friday, so that's a plus...I still feel bad for 'em, though. *loves to Jen, lol* And Zac, Clayton, Adam and I have to do book work, which is fine, cuz it's relatively easy.

Brit Lit, we read more poetry. And I gotta say, I'm so fucking sick of poetry right now, I think I may haul off and shoot someone. We're covering the Romantic period, so everything is about nature and God and I really wanna strangle the people that wrote the shit we have to read.

Creative Writing was a reading day, and WHOO, I'm so glad it was, cuz Jurassic Park is getting SO GOOD, not that it wasn't before, lol. See, I'm trying to relate things to the movie so I don't get lost and there's a part in the movie where the guys that plays Dennis Nedry (he's Newman on Seinfeld) gets killed by a dinosaur that spits acid. But because it's a movie (and it came out in the early '90s), it cut out before it could show anything bad.

Well, in the book, it's QUITE descriptive and I actually feel *really* bad for the guy, even though he's an absolute scum-bag. WARNING: I'm putting a quick description of the scene under the cut. It's not too bad, really, but just incase I've got some easily queasified readers, thur ya go.

Anywho, I came home and did pretty much nothing for a while. I read some fanfics and chilled and that's about it. Oh! I watched an ep of Supernatural today (Simon Said). It was pretty good. I *loved* when the guy came up to the Impala while Dean was sitting in the driver's seat, and he was like, "Hey, man, can I have this?" and he used freaky Jedi mind-control on Dean, who replied, "Sure, man! Here ya go!" and he got outta the car and was all smirky. See, Dean *LOVES* his Impala, so, yeah, it was pretty funny. But poor Sammy...I really wanna give him a hug, lol.

Oh! Jeopardy was awesome tonight. Two reasons; one, there was a question with Neil DeGrasse Tyson, and COME ON, how can you NOT love that guy? He's pure awesome (plus, I got his question/answer correct, so, yay me!). Two, one of the contestants had TWO NECKS (I'm so not kidding, if you look at her neck, she had two distinctive rolls there, but it looked like lines where she was sewn together or something instead of fat). So I started calling her the alien. She surrsly looked like she'd pulled on a human costume with a human head/mask. It was creepy, but amusing, lol.

I kinda have nothing to say about American Idol. No one really stood out to me and the songs sucked. SO, yeah.

Hell's Kitchen tonight was AWESOME. I'm *so glad* that fat bastard, Jason, is gone. He's such a fucking schovanistic (sp?) PIG! He was constantly harping on the women and saying, "this job's for women" and "women should be doing this" and blahblahblah. He said that the only reason the girls that were nominated to go, stayed, is because they cried about it. He said, "I'm not gonna cry, I'm a man...I am gonna go get drunk, though." Yeah, way to be, jackass.

I'm pretty sure more happened today, but my brain is so goddamn fried, I can't think of anything. I'll report back tomorrow with better things to say. Thanks to all that tried out the meme I posted prior to this, and to anyone that hasn't, go check it out! See how well ya know me! :D
