Shut Up and Eat Pie!
Hello people!

Today is one of the longest days I've had an a while. I fucking hate it.

I had a dream that teh rents and I were looking at this hours that we were thinking about buying. It was so weird, though. There was this huge living room area with a concrete floor, then to the left, there were five doors leading to bedrooms and one door leading to the garage. The type of rooms in order from left to right were: bedroom, bathroom, bedroom, bedroom, bedroom.

The problem is the doors were FREAKISHLY short. Like, less than a foot high. I felt super claustrophobic trying to get into each room to check them out. I looked in the garage next and it was this expansive, huge area that could be turned into a living space. It was amazing! And then there were stairs to the right of the actual living room that were blocked off.

My parents bought the house, though I don't know why, and I explained to mom that I couldn't sleep in the front-most bedroom cuz I can't be near the front door, but I couldn't sleep in the back-most bedroom cuz the door was too small for me. I tried to ask if I can have the room that would technically and logically be their room. Mom said that was ridiculous and I gave up.

We went back to see the house again, and there was another family there being shown around, and this time the stairs weren't blocked off. There were five more bedrooms on the upper level. There was a second part to the dream, but I don't remember any of it. I'm wondering if the first part had to do with either watching a bunch of home-buying shows lately, or our search for a house...

Anywho, I woke up to my set alarm today, even though I didn't want to. Dad won't give up on me getting up to an alarm, even though Nick sleeps til fucking one or two o'clock and no one bothers to nag him all day. *pssht* So I got up, took a shower, and then fed baby Celtic. Then I watched some TV, hung out online, etc., etc. Today's been rather uneventful.

However! My friend who got me a bunch of John Lange books a while ago sent them yesterday and they got here today! :D I got Binary, Zero Cool, A Case of Need, and Grave Descend! AND a leaked illegal :O copy of The Sims3! <3 I haven't played yet cuz I have to do all this installation stuffs and it's taking forever. Anywho, uh, title of this post is from an ep of Sister, Sister.

I'm bored and tired and mad at mom and dad cuz they both want me to do everything while they're gone (they're going on a week trip to NY to look at more houses cuz we haven't found the one we want yet). I said that I'm sick of doing everything while Nick does absolutely fucking nothing. Then I said I wasn't gonna do Nick's chores, and if they don't get done, it's not my fault.

I stormed off to my room and now I'm just sitting here, doing nothing, wishing I had something to eat. Grrr. I don't like not drinking soda when there's four cans of Cherry Coke sitting in the fridge... :(

Are There Any Old Nipples Lying Around the House?
Hello people!

I was up late again last night. I'm finding with time that I don't get tired now until 2 or 3:00 in the morning...

I watched a bunch of HGTV shows with teh rents last night, which I quite enjoyed. <3 Oh, guess what? Nick went to a movie last night with this girl who lives down the street. She's the one I mentioned yesterday. She's nice and all, but there's not much upstairs. When the movie was done, at 9:30, Nick texted dad to ask if this girl could sleep over. In his room.

Sometimes, I really have to wonder if he's fucking retarded. The fact that he thought dad would say yes makes him seem even dumber to me. What kind of responsible parent would let their son have a girl that they JUST MET (they literally just met her yesterday) sleep over in his room? And Nick had the nerve to get all pissed off and say that mom and dad were being unfair.

After that whole fiasco, I went to my room and watched The Nanny, of course. Dad claims I'm obsessed with it, but I know when I'm obsessed and trust me, I'm not obsessed, lol. I just like the show a lot. *shrugs* Anywho, those were hilarious and title of this post is from one of the eps. So, there was this HUGE storm overnight and it was thundering sooooo loud!

There were a specific burst around 9:30, I think, that literally scared me awake. Guys, you should've heard it, it lasted literally twenty seconds and shook the entire house and I wondered if it would ever stop. I went back to sleep half an hour or so later and didn't get up again til 11:30, when dad came in and told me to get up. I took a shower and got online right away.

I chilled for a while til I had to feed Celtic, then I made some lunch (popcorn chicken! :D). Then, THE MAIL CAME! I got the other John Lange book I ordered (Scratch One) AND my Egyptian skirt! :DDD OMG it's so comfortable and so cute and I just love it! <3 I munched my lunch and put on my skirt and basically chilled all afternoon. Dad's been packing mom's cookbooks, lol.

I don't envy him; mom collects cookbooks. You should see them all...*shudders* Anywho, I spent, like, three hours designing the first floor of my future mansion on MS Paint. :D It's awesome, I LOVE it. I have to do the second floor, still, but yeah, I *really* love it.

This is where I shall live...you're welcome to visit! )

Second floor will have the bedrooms, guest rooms and other bathrooms. Mom's been at appointments all day and Nick's been out with his friend, so dad and I have kinda just been hanging out. Blargh. Bored.

You'll Counsel Him Wisely. I'm an Old Man; I'll Counsel Him Shortly
Hello people!

I had a dream that I was still in school (for gosh sake's, SELF, stop dreaming about school!). I was leaving MindCandy at noon, and dad was gonna pick me up and take me to Olive Garden. I dunno why, since he and I NEVER go to OG, but whatevs. I got side-tracked by some people and was five minutes late getting down to the front doors to meet up with dad.

By the time I got there, he was gone. I freaked out, but figured I should go back inside and try to call dad. I went to my next class, which was some kind of art class (I haven't taken a single art class since...seventh grade). The teacher was crazy and loopy and wouldn't let me call dad and said I had to take the final exam for the class. I explained that I'm a senior, but he wouldn't listen.

Once I finally got out, I got a hold of Nick and he said that dad took HIM to Olive Garden instead of me. That's even less likely to happen. And then I woke up. Blah, stupid dream. I woke up around 11:00 today and immediately took my shower. I was online for about half an hour before mom and dad told me were going to see Angels&Demons and we had to get going.

Holy monkeys, guys, let me tell you, Angels&Demons is fucking amazing. I have yet to read the book, though I fully intend to, but wow. The movie was so fantastic. And it's really gotten me interested in symbology. I'd like to study a bit of that in college, if possible. I also have developed a crush on Robert Langdon - not Tom Hanks, per se, but when he plays Langdon... <3

Ahem. Title of this post is from the movie. :] Um, yeah, so, then we went home and I got the mail and GUESS WHAT?!?! One of my John Lange books came! :D The Last Tomb! And it takes place in freaking Egypt! It could not be more meant to be, LOL. XD So, anywho, we watched a few episodes of Ellen and now we're chilling.

I posted some vids last night, just incase you guys didn't see 'em. There's one of Celtic, one of Sphinx, and one of a stupid ad. Oh, and mom gave The Nanny a chance last night, even though she hates Fran Drescher's voice. X] She said she'd give it another chance, too, cuz she came in about halfway through the episode. *LOVE* <3 *clears throat* And that's about it.

P.S. OH HEY! I made a community for Sphinx and if you have any interest in it (*expects none*), please join! [info]sphinx_mummy [info]sphinx_mummy [info]sphinx_mummy [info]sphinx_mummy [info]sphinx_mummy

They're Eyeglasses for an Eyeclops...Wait...
Hello people!

This is gonna take a while cuz...I'm finding it very difficult to remember what all happened this morning...

Um, mom got me up around 9:45 this morning and I went and took a shower. She told me that there were a few things I had to do while she was at an appointment; put the dishes away, feed baby Celtic, call some lady about our the house that we're looking at buying in New York, and...something else that I don't remember...I did all that and then watched a little Divorce Court.

I spent three hours last night and a couple hours today editing my tags so that they'd be more organized and awesome and I am SO HAPPY with them. <3 After that, I really wanted to have fun and chill out, so I decided to play some more Sphinx. That lasted a few hours til mom invited me to go with her to a few appointments so I could stop at a Half-Price Books.

I agreed and we went to mom's first appointment, which lasted about an hour. We went to the bookstore after that and I searched and searched for John Lange books but alas, there were none there. I found a super old copy of A Case of Need, printed under Crichton's actual name, rather than his pseudonym, which means it was a more recently-printed copy.

I didn't buy it cuz I wanted a shinier copy, but I also found a really nice edition of The Crucible, and it was only $1.00! :D Soooo, I bought it. It's awesome, though it has a *bit* of underlining from the previous owner in the very beginning, but meh, it's only in the character and landscape descriptions, so I don't really care. And then it started pouring down rain.

We had to run to the car through the literally pouring rain (it was INSANE) and when we finally got there, we were soaking wet. Our pants, our shirts, my bag, my stupid flip-flop-covered feet. Ridiculousness. We were hungry and stopped over at Dairy Queen, where I got chicken fingers, fries and a Snickers blizzard. Mom and I chilled in the parking lot and ate our dinner.

Mom had an appointment to go to, so we went there next. She was only half an hour there and I read a little bit of The Crucible while waiting. I also doodled the Simoleon symbol (from The Sims, of course) on my hand cuz I think it's awesome and I decided I want it as a tattoo later (much later, don't fret, lol). I showed the symbol to mom and asked her if she knew what it was.

She said the title of this post, which made me LMFAO SO HARD. *shakes head* We had to go to another appointment, but we were half an hour early. While waiting for the people to get home, we decided (i.e.: I convinced mom) to ditch the appointment and go home. X] We wrote a note and I taped it to the door and we left! We stopped at Starbucks for a coffee and then went home.

It was awesome and super fun. When we got home, we fed and held Celtic and then I went on a search for some John Lange books online. I found TWO: Scratch One and Easy Go (AKA The Last Tomb). :D Unfortunately, most of the others are ridiculously expensive (ranging from $40-$400 :O), so I guess that unless I find them in an old bookstore for cheap, I won't get them for a while...

Now we're watching Ellen and then I'm gonna play more Sphinx. YAY! FUN DAY FTW!

Everyone Look at Pictures of My Cat!
Hello people!

So. Tired. GUH.

Today is the first time this week that I slept past my alarm. I've been trying to get up so dad wouldn't have to come get me, but today, I just couldn't do it. I will be getting up tomorrow, though. LAST DAY FTW! :D Ahem. In myth, we watched more of The Odyssey. I planned on doing the math homework that's due tomorrow, but my mind didn't have the energy, lol.

Well, in a rare moment of awesomeness, Mr. Pagnanelli cancelled that assignment for us. We are DONE in math for the year, officially. <3 We took our notebook test today and there were only two answers I was unsure of, but I wasn't alone in that, so I didn't feel bad about it. I got to throw out all the stupid homeworks and tests and stuff I didn't need and it felt great.

In AP Gov., we presented our projects and, surprisingly, I wasn't as nervous as I usually am. I still had some breathing issues, but I wasn't stumbling over my words as much. So YAY! After that, we played Outburst! again. It was so much fun, I really love that game. I hadn't read the chaps of Huck Finn that we were sposed to and feared a quiz.

Thankfully, Ms. Jasper killed the quiz and we just had a free period! And we turned in Huck Finn, even though we didn't finish it. My definitive opinion of it? One of the worst books I've ever read. Blech. I spent the period reading The Lost World, which was much more entertaining, lol. In MindCandy, the magazines finally came in! So I bought my copy.

It's purty; it's an olive green and has these really cool funky old-school-esque designs on/in it. I also presented my final project to Mr. Robbins and he loved it. A lot, lol. He kept saying it was really great and I have a nice voice, etc., etc. It was kinda awkward for me; I'm not really good with compliments, I don't know what to say other than "thank you."

So I just kept saying, "thanks," lol. AND, I was able to give him my story, finally! I'm so excited to hand it in, I hope he likes it...I'd like him to read it and grade it tonight so I know his thoughts before leaving, lol. About half the class was gone today (though I dunno why) so we just chilled and read our books in silence. It was fun, though, I mean, I love reading. ;]

I went and bought my last chocolate ice cream of my high school career. It was delicious. They really have great ice cream at school. And the lunch lady noticed my haircut (even though I hardly ever see her) and said it was cute! :D I went and ate my ice cream outside whilst waiting for mom, who, unfortunately, was running a bit late.

But Mr. Cecil walked by, heading for the parking lot, and said hi to me. THEN, about twenty minutes later, he walked by again, this time going back into the building. I've noticed that he does that every day, so I asked him, "Do you go out to lunch or...where do you go?" Though it occurs to me now that that sounds kinda creepy...

Anywho, he told me that he goes and sits in his car during lunch and listens to music. Is that not the most adorable thing ever? I think it's so incredibly adorable, lol. <333 Then I told him we're having a party tomorrow in MindCandy and that he should totally stop by, and he said if he can get out of the class he's subbing for for a bit, he'd love to. YAY!

Mom arrived around one to pick me up and we had to go to the store. Since I hadn't eaten yet, she got me some popcorn chicken and french fries from Arby's. Meh, it was okay. I wanted a wrap, but apparently, those have been discontinued. *shakes head* We went to Wal*Mart next and I convinced mom to get me root beer to celebrate graduating, LOL.

Aaaand we got Oreo's for my friend, Sarah, cuz it's her birthday tomorrow! :D Lotsa shit going on tomorrow. Moving on, um, we went straight home after Wal*Mart and mom kinda yelled at me randomly in the car, so I was bummed when I got inside, but I'm better now. I had to do the dishes, but after that I went to my room and got online.

This awesome guy on Twitter who lives in Ohio found two of those rare Crichton books (and one not-so-rare [Case of Need]) and is sending them to me! <3 SO EXCITED about that! I'd like to bring that up again, if it's not too much a bother for you guys, lol, if you know some older book stores you wouldn't mind checking out for me, I'm looking for these books.

So, then, mom left for an appointment and dad and Nick came home. Dad recently replaced the screens on our windows cuz they had huge holes in them, so we had these tubes that held the screen material laying (lying?) around the living room. Nick and I decided to have a duel with those tubes. It was SO MUCH FUN, lol. And it lasted, like, an hour. XD

And now, here we are! :] Tomorrow's my ABSOLUTE LAST DAY of senior year, and Jen's stopping by! <3 Mom's bringing DQ Blizzards into MindCandy, we're having a party in almost all of my classes, and teh rents and I are gonna try to go see Angels&Demons in the afternoon. WHOOT! This weekend, mom and dad are flying out to New York to look at possible houses.

For when we move, of course. And Nick and I will have the house to ourselves til Tuesday night! Also: I have the greatest wife in existence. Look how awesome she is to me. I love her. <333 Also also: Bones and Hell's Kitchen season finales (sp?) tonight! I'm stoked and saddened at the same time, lol. Title of this post from this amazing video.

Love y'all - Mira/Doc/Kat *meow*

P.S. As if this isn't long enough. [1] NOM PLEASE. ALSO. [2] VOTE PLEASE. <--you guys moved me up to 128! YOU RULE! Thanks!

My Shorts Are Nonstick Pants
Hello people!

Holy, moo, I had one hum-dinger of a dream, and guess what? I remember all of it! :D

I had a dream that I was in this huge store and I got away with stealing a bunch of stuff every day, and I did it over and over again. I took a shower when I got home, and then I saw that Phil Ken Sebben was talking to someone on the other side of the room. Okay, after that, my day started over, and I did absolutely every thing exactly the same.

It happened a couple more times, until one day when I made this blue-pearl (yeah, I dunno) necklace for some girl I didn’t know, and she said, “It’s beautiful, but I can’t wear it.” I got a little sad, but said I understood and took the necklace back. I went to the front of the store where the check-out counters were, and I was going to steal the necklace (I made it from materials in the store that I hadn’t bought), but I felt guilty.

So I took the necklace to the back of the store and put it in a decorative barrel. Then I made my way out as fast as possible, attempting not to look suspicious. I passed a girl with two kids who seemed to be having trouble finding the exit, but I didn’t help. I realized later that I had to find Phil Ken Sebben when he was doing a speech of his that he did every day and listen to that speech (why? I dunno).

I was looking for my cell phone and couldn’t find it, so I checked my brother’s room and found his phone. I looked at a text he’d received to see if it was my phone, and then Nick stormed in (fresh out of a shower in his towel) and said, “Don’t look at my phone!” and I said, “I was looking for my phone!” and he said, “Get out!” So I went back to my room, lol.

Then, suddenly, I was Dean Winchester (<3). Sam and I had just gotten to this random house and we went to talk to the family about us staying there while we investigated something in town. They were super and we had to go do something, so we left. But the daughter, who was about ten, had a problem with us.

She thought we were super suspicious, so she looked through this huge armoire that had all of our stuff in it, and she found holy water and guns and books on the supernatural and all sorts of shit. She pulled everything out of the armoire and laid it out all over the living room and showed her parents. Then they all sat in the living room waiting for us to get back.

We did, and Sam got a little angry that all our stuff was on the floor. He panicked that we were gonna get kicked out, and we tried to explain ourselves, but…that’s where I woke up. :] WHEW! That was long, lol. So, I woke up at about 9:00 and got right up. I hopped online for a few minutes and then went out to say hi to mom and dad and give mom her card for Mothers' Day.

Then, I headed back to my room cuz we planned to just chill all day today, so it didn't really matter if we did so together. There was a marathon of Parental Control (a show on MTV) that ended around noon, so I watched that all morning. It was so much fun, I LOVE that show (probably a little too much, especially since it's so classless and stupid).

Once that was over, mom, dad and I went outside for half an hour to sit in the sun and the breeze. Then we watched a marathon of $25,000 Pyramid, which we used to watch all the time, although this one had Donny Osmond as the host. But it was fun and I liked watching that show again, it's very entertaining (title of this post was one of the categories). After that, I went to my room to play a little Sims2.

And now we're about to have dinner and watch Roxanne. Hilarious movie. Thank you to all of you that offered to help me out with The Epic Crichton Novel Search of 2009. YOU ALL ROCK. Oh, TDS/TCR people, it seems that very few people are making their nominations for the [info]tds_rps FanFic Awards. So, please, if you haven't nom'd yet, go do so! <3

HAPPY MOTHERS' DAY, yet again. X] And now, below a cut, is the poem I wrote for my mom.

Kinda cheesy, but mom liked it, so... )

All I Have to Remember Is, I Can Always Get More Toast
Hello people!

So, you all know how head-over-heels over-the-moon shoot-myself-in-the-foot in love I am with Michael Crichton.

Well, I was looking up a book of his on Amazon and I found one that I'd never heard of or seen the cover of in the entire time I've been researching his works. I thought I'd investigate it and I came across another three books unknown to me. This piqued my interest. I thought I'd try to buy one of them, until I realized that the cheapest copy was $54.

I realized that that book, however, was under one of Crichton's pseudonyms, John Lange, which is probably why it's so rare. Well, now I have a mission. Perhaps for the duration of this year? Or maybe for the entire length of a year, from now til next May. However long it takes, I want to own every single work of fiction that Michael Crichton has ever written.

Everything he wrote and published under his actual name is easily accessible at any Barnes & Noble, but books under his pseudonyms are almost impossible to find. If we lived around a bunch of old-school book stores, it'd be a little easier. But we don't. There are hardly any book stores here at all.

So, I'd like to ask for your assistance, my amazing flist. Welcome to...

THE EPIC CRICHTON NOVEL SEARCH OF 2009!

I'd like to ask you guys, if you have the time/$$$, to help me on my quest for "John Lange" (i.e.: Michael Crichton)'s novels. This is a hunt, to take place all across the nation! I won't ask more than $10 of you guys, and I will reimburse every cent. But if you guys could help me out, you have no idea how much I'd love you for it, lol.

The books, the books, the books )

I deeply, deeply appreciate any and all help, you guys. This is so incredibly important to me, lol, I really want these books. Even if none of you can help, thanks for listening. :] <3
