The Same...Fuckers in the Audience!

Hello people!

My mom told me that I have blue/dark circles under my eyes and that I look exhausted. I slept for seven hours last night, I should not look/feel exhausted, but I do. Mom says it's prolly from the heat, but I'm pretty sure I feel like this all the time. Mom wants me to see the doctor about it if I continue to feel so tired. Blahhh.

I went with mom to do some work stuff today, but she kinda decided (after some convincing, mwahaha) that we should skip the working stuff and go see Mamma Mia. Let me say real quick that Mamma Mia is not the kind of movie I normally go see. Die Hard 4, The Love Guru, Get Smart, those are the movies I watch. But, ya know. ABBA.

So, I went to see it with mom. It was ridiculous. I mean, duh, I think it's expected to be ridiculous. XD Um, but I liked the music (haha, I like ABBA), and when is it a bad thing to see Pierce Brosnan and Colin Firth shirtless, really? AND singing and dancing? I mean, they're just...yeah. No matter how old Pierce gets, he will always be hot as Hell.

And I *really* like Colin Firth. I don't think I've seen him in enough. I wanna see more of him, he's fantastic (and hugely attractive, lol). Plus, me likey his accent. <3 Anywho, the movie overall was not that great. On a scale of one to ten, I give it a five or six. It's worth seeing *maybe* once, if you like Pierce and/or Colin and/or Meryl Streep and/or ABBA and can tolerate how silly it is. Although, really, I'm not a huge fan of musicals, anyway. RENT annoyed me.

But, there was a scene at the end of the movie that was HILARIOUS and hot and awesome and you should see the movie *just* for that last scene. It's...AMAZING, surrsly. Go see it. Do it. Or rent it when it's on DVD. Yeah, do that.

Real quick: I really wish that people were more fun. Not just here, in general. As a principle. People need to be more fun and loose and cool and not get embarassed so easily. If people were like that, I would have gotten up in the movie theater during Mamma Mia and sung/danced along. And people would've joined me, cuz that would just be FUN. People used to do that for the Rocky Horror Picture Show; my parents have *both* told me that. But people nowadays just don't do fun stuff like that anymore. *SIGH*

Oh, btw, the title of this blog is from an interview that Stephen Colbert did a while ago on SIRIUS radio with his warm-up comedian, Pete. They were talking about how they thought what they do is amazing cuz they have to use new material every time they perform. And Stephen said he envied singers that way, cuz they could sing the "same goddamn songs for thirty years, and people get just as excited! Not even a new crowd, the same...fuckers in the audience!" I love that interview. If you want it and haven't heard it, it's available for downloading here.

Jay Leno is, apparently, quitting his show. True, Johnny Carson had the show first, but whatevs. Anywho, I can't believe Jay Leno is just leaving his show. Why would he do that? If you were unbelievably successful (and yes, Leno is hugely successful; everyone knows who he is), would you just leave your show? That's stupid, imo.

You may have heard that Carson Palmer (Cincinatti Bengals quarterback) said a thing or two about the Buckeyes, the leading college team here in Ohio. He said, "I cannot stand the Buckeyes. Having to live in Ohio and having to hear those people talk about their team, it drives me nuts. ...and all the crap I gotta put up with while I'm there."

My parents keep saying that he put a foot in his mouth and should've "shut the fuck up," but to be quite honest, I'm so glad he said what he said. Lemme tell you, people in Ohio are INSANE (no offense to Ohio-ans). But SERIOUSLY, I have lived here for, what, five years now, and people are OBSESSED with the Buckeyes. You would think obsession wouldn't bother me, what with my being obsessed with a lotta stuff, but these people are crazy and annoying.

They have hurt other people that have said bad things about the Bucks (whom I call "Bucket-heads"), they shove Buckeye shit in your face ALL THE TIME, they toilet-paper opposing teams' houses. It's ridiculous! And I'm sick of them, so I applaud Palmer for saying what he said.

Dudes! It's Alex Trebek's birthday (host of Jeopardy, DUH)! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALEX TREBEK! I love Alex Trebek. Not romantically, lol, but he's really awesome and the best game-show host of all time and I love him. <3

My wifey, bigfish05, is watching her first ep of The Daily Show today! And now she's a fangirl for Jon! <333 YAY MY EVIL PLAN TO GET EVERYONE WATCHING TDS/TCR AND BE FANGIRLS FOR JON AND STEPHEN IS WORKING! ...I mean...

Anna Banana Wants to Hear "Venus," by Bananarama!

Hello people!

Today was a quite sufficient ending to a wondiferous weekend. Surrsly.

I got up at noon today after having a rather strange dream. I dreamt that I went to prom with this guy, Kyle, who I don't really even know that well, and we were with this other couple at dinner before going to prom. Oh, I should mention that I have no intention of going to prom. So, anywho, I was sitting next to Kyle on this long booth seat thing, and the other couple with us was sitting across from us in chairs.

Now, I don't understand this part, but Kyle laid down on our seat, his head about four inches from my leg. Then, the other guy that was with us sat down on Kyle's pelvis/crotchular-area, and Kyle thrusted up against his ass...I don't know, don't ask for an explanation, lol. Dream!me is very strange, let me tell you.

So, anywho, when I woke up, I went outside to chill with my parents on the back porch. We sat there for about an hour, chatting and whatnot, and then we went inside and watched Midnight Run. Surrsly, one of the best fucking movies in existence. LOVE that movie, SO MUCH. Jen, if you're cool with an insane amount of swearing, you'll have to come over and watch it. Tis SO GOOD.

So, then, we watched National Treasure (for about the 100 millionth time) whilst eating some unbelievably delicious dinner (MEXICAN). Afterwards, I had to do my homework (but I didn't, lol). I went in my room and watched TV for two hours, and now I'm doing this. I feel kinda bad, but I also feel like I didn't wanna ruin the bitchin time that was this weekend.

I read lotsa awesome fanfics today and I saw someone ask for someone to write a fanfic for 'em (a quick oneshot), and I wanted to do it, but I think I've screwed myself over; I started really thinking about it to the point of WAY over-thinking it and now I don't think I can write it...I'll have to apologize to a couple people for flaking out on it, but really, I don't think I could write anything even remotely good after having thought about it all damn day. *curses self*

Oh, the title of this post is from one of my fave Psych episodes. "Spelling Bee." Definitely one of the best ones ever. Shawn takes over for the "Spell Master" at a Spelling Bee cuz he's looking for clues, and he has to give a word for the next contestant to spell, so Shawn reads off of a little paper (that's sposed to be the list of words the Spell Master's sposed to use), and he says, "Banana." The girl that's sposed to spell the word asks for repetition of the word, a definition, and the use of it in a sentence. Shawn says, "Anna Banana wants to hear "Venus" by Bananarama! Banana!" And then Gus looks down at the paper on the desk and he's like, "You're using his grocery list!" That's paraphrased, but you get the jist, lol.

I'm not the high school dance type (most especially the prom), but I gotta say, I kinda wish I was going to prom this year. I don't think I could get a date (cuz, I mean, come on, I've never had a date in my life, lol), but I really feel like going. I dunno why I suddenly feel like going, but I do. And I'd really like to go with the guy I like, but I dunno if he likes anyone or if he's single or if he likes me or what. Plus, he's my friend, and I wouldn't wanna complicate our friendship by asking him out if he doesn't like me and turns me down. Yes, I have a huge fear of rejection, lol. Oh, well. There's always next year.

Okay, everytime I stay up past 10:00 PM, I watch Nick@Nite, and they play that goddamn freakishly long, indescribabley upsetting ASPCA commercial about abused animals. I hate that commercial so goddamn much, I want it to die. I love animals, don't get me wrong, and they should be rescued if being abused, but I don't need to see FIVE MINUTES of injured animals set to depressing music, thank you very much.

Oh, cheese! I promised Alex Trebek autograph photos, lol! Here's one and two. And yes, I framed it. What of it? ;D

Well, that's about it. It's time to get a little homework done, then read a fanfic or two, then go to sleep. GAH, I *so* don't wanna go to school tomorrow. *broods over school just like Sammy* Ooh, something awesome, though! Howard Dean is gonna be on The Daily Show on Thursday! HELLS TO THE YEAH!

Is "A Drink" a Euphemism?

Hello people!

Whoo! Today was pretty awesome, too! Yay for a fuckin great weekend thus far!

I got up at 7:57 this morning...my dad started slamming doors angrily cuz the garage door was left open all night, and after the third slam, I was about ready to have a fucking heart attack. It was a really suckish way to wake up, but that's okay. I had to vacuum (sp?) the living room, hallway, foyer, and my bedroom. Then, I cleaned up my room a bit and read some fanfics.

I went with my mom to her appointments today and she got me coffee and fastfood, which was awesome. DELICIOUS Speedway coffee. So...then I came home and read some more fanfics and jammed to rockin tunes for three hours. Then I took a quick shower and waited for Jen to get here.

So, Jen got here and we watched Harold and Maude and The History Boys. They were both really great! I *loved* them, though they had somewhat depressing moments, lol. But yeah, very good movies with hilarious parts and some fantastic one-liners. XD Jen and I have to have another movie night where she brings Clueless and I bring Ace Ventura, lol!

Explanation of title: tis a quote from The History Boys. Dakin asked Irwin out for a drink. But he really meant, "please, come suck me off." That was one of the funniest things, I think, in the movie. He was just bluntly straight-forward about it, even though it would be considered wrong by any other adults there, LOL. But, uh, secretly? I kinda wished something would happen between them, lol. I can't help it...I have a thing for guy/guy stuff...*shakes head at self* X}

As you can see, today was pretty fun! OH! Remember how a little while ago, I sent Alex Trebek a WristStrong bracelet? I'm pretty sure I mentioned that here...anywho, I came home today and got the mail (as I always do), and there was a rather large envelope from Jeopardy! addressed to me. I opened it and (OMG) there was an autographed photo of Alex Trebek inside that read, and I quote, "Miranda, Thanks for thinking of me and thanks also for the bracelet" (the point of sending him a bracelet is cuz he hurt his wrist somehow, lol). So, yeah, I was pretty damn excited.

I'll have to post a pic tomorrow; my batteries are dead and my camera's being a meany. The reason this is being posted so late (I clicked post at about 1:00 AM) is cuz I went into my parents' room at 11:30 and we talked for the past hour and a half. Man, it was so mucho fun.

So, tomorrow's homework day (haha). I really do have to get some work, done, though, and luckily, it's kinda just filling in blanks from the Brit Lit book, although I also have to write my summaries for Jurassic Park, which'll take me a while, but that's okay.

Time for more fanfics, and then bed. YAY, SLEEP.

Love y'all - Mira/Doc/Kat *meow*
