Being Religious Doesn't Mean You're Good, It Means You Go to Church
Hello people!

I set my alarm to get up at 8:00 this morning cuz I still had dishes to do. Instead of getting up, I went back to sleep for an hour and got up at 9, lol. I did the dishes then made Nick some coffee and got him up. I spent the whole morning listening to Manheim Steamroller, and lemme tell you, it kicked ass. I love Manheim. And then I listened to this awesome Christmas jazz CD. YAY!

I'm feeling very Christmas-y today. *shrugs* Also? I started this schaweet ficlet that I kinda can't work on now cuz of Ty, but oh well. Speaking of Tyrone, we're taking him to the doctor in the next coupla days. Hopefully, he'll be all better soon! :D Anywho, Nick finally got up around 11:00. I vacuumed (sp?), cleaned up a little, organized the Christmas CDs and the mail.

When mom and dad got home, we unloaded stuff and welcomed them and for a brief, shining ten minutes, everyone was civil with each other. Then the stupid arguments started and quite honestly? I miss the silence of the past couple of days. That sounds kinda bad, I love my parents, but I hate it when they act like children, which they do surprisingly often.

Warning: mini!rant ahead...and I *do* mean 'mini' )

I think I have the most respect for Jon Stewart that I could/have ever have/had for anyone ever. He is one of the most amazing men that ever lived. He said the title of this post to Bill O'Reilly, the King of Douches. Here's the uncut interview. I haven't watched it, but I assume it's mostly the same as what was aired. Jon's amazingness never fails to astound me. God, I love him. <3

I'm sorry to those of you that aren't Jon/Stephen fans, but I really need to post some vids cuz holy fuck, the boys were SPOT ON this past week. Wow, were they good. So here, three of my fave segs from this past week:

Fleeting Expletives, Formula 4OU1, and a Wag of My Finger )

Some segs that I didn't post that merit attention-getting (TCR): Rahm Emanuel's Finger, Cheating Death: Women's Health. I was sposed to get my senior pics done today, but it was RIDICULOUSLY windy and cold, so we're just gonna do it some other day. I did convince mom to let me have just *one* picture of me in my Property of Colbert Nation t-shirt, which has me so giddy, LOL.

I guess that's it. I'm not in the best of moods, especially since I'm on dad's old computer and the keyboard SUCKS, but whatever. Oh, and it's Sunday. I sooooooooooooooo don't wanna go to school tomorrow. Is it November 26th yet? *sigh* This is gonna be a long month.

Love y'all - Mira/Doc/Kat *meow*

Spamming Up Teh Flist Just Blew Me Right Away
Hello people!

Okay, zeitgeist_10 posted this vid in her LJ and I totally forgot about it until now (speaking of forgetting about things, I just lost The Game AGAIN), and there's no way I couldn't post it cuz it's pure hilarity even if it is kinda revolting to think about. So ENJOY TEH FUNNEH (and my 'pologies for spamming you guys tonight, lol)!

Hiya, Can I Call You Joe?
Hello people!

Okaleedokalee, it's FRIDAY! <3

Photo was boring as Hell, dudes. The sophomores had a class meeting, so all the sophomores in class had to leave. Only FIVE of us were left, lol. XD So, yeah, we basically had a free period. And alas (and alack? sp?) I had nothing to do cuz I'd already done my math homework yesterday afternoon. *shakes head*

Oh! A few weeks ago, I applied for this position with D.A.R.E. (which I may or may not have mentioned here, I don't recall...), and today, a cop involved with D.A.R.E. conducted the interviews for it. The interview was prolly less than four minutes, if that. Yeah, it was FREAKISHLY short. Um, but I think it went well (even though I don't do many extra-curriculars and am not involved with church [BLECH]). When I went to leave, I shook the cop's hand and I think he was surprised by that. *shrugs* I love shaking people's hands...I dunno why.

I went to math after that and it was dull. What else is new? At least I enjoy what we're doing. YAY MATRICES! We did current events in AP Gov. in, like, four minutes total, lol, and then we were called down to have OUR class meeting. It was about buying shit. Ya know, cap and gown, class ring, clothes, blah blah blah. I do want a coupla things, but this year is gonna be SO EXPENSIVE. The rents are paying cuz I have no money and they love me, lol.

But um, yeah, I want/need to get cap and gown, yearbook, class ring, senior pics, and some excess awesome stuff. It's gonna be a LOT of cash to blow on bullsh that I want/need. Anywho. Forensics was AWESOME. We got to BURN STUFF today! :DDD Yes, fire is INSANELY fun. We had to do experiments, but my partner and I finished a tad early and I burned a piece of paper. It was SUPER FUN. XD

MindCandy was cool. We listened to some people's haikus, which were due today. Mine sucked. I usually love haikus cuz they're ridiculously easy, but these had a lotta guidelines, and it was really hard to do, imo. But yeah, then we had this HUGE HUGE HUGE discussion on religion and atheism and Palin and bullsh that goes with all of the above. It was really fun. I love convos like that. Especially ones that are civil, cuz I never have those.

My friend drove me home and I relaxed for a few hours. Then mom came home and we had finger-freezer-food for dinner (pizza rolls and tator crowns). DELICIOUS. And now mom and I are contemplating going to the store to get some ice cream and, if we do, I'm gonna see if they have the new issue of Entertainment Weekly (YES PLZ)!

And now, a VERY amusing video that was rec'd to me by some buds in MindCandy. HILARIOUSNESS.

GAH, guys! The bailout passed! And they added somewhere around $100 billion to it! :O I dunno what exactly will happen now that the bill has passed, but it scares the Hell outta me. *cowers in corner* Oh, and btw, there's a rep from Ohio named John Boehner. How would you pronounce that? Cuz I'd say, "boner." This has been going around lately. And it's so true. And it amuses me cuz if I took it seriously, I'd cry.

It's Octolbert, guys, and you know what that means: Halloween is coming! There's a LOT of hub-bub about costumes this year, what with The Dark Knight and Indiana Jones and such. So, I pose to you this question: if you could dress as absolutely anyone/anything, what costume would you wear for Halloween and why? If I wasn't dressing in the Colbert-themed costume I have planned, I'd prolly dress as Indy Jones cuz I LOVE HIM. <3

Okay, now for things that have pissed me off: Papa Bear. He's such an asshole. I mean, HOLY FUCK, how has someone not tried to kill him yet? Why do good people die all the time while jerk-offs like Papa Bear live on? Also, Jeopardy was pre-empted by FUCKING COLLEGE FOOTBALL SHIT. I LOVE Jeopardy and I HATE when it's pre-empted, especially by fucking COLLEGE football SHIT that doesn't even MATTER cuz it's PRE-GAME SHIT.

I have to catch up on a buncha Jons and Stephens. And I'm thinking of doing a drabble in the Rocky Horror world with Jon and Stephen...MOOHAHAHA. XD My 'pologies for the freakishly long entry tonight.

Check Out Those Globalls!
Hello people!

I have two images I meant to post with my blog entry, but now I wanna post 'em seperately, lol.

The first is a still from Stephen's interview when he went on O'Reilly's show. Look at the scrolling headlines on the bottom of the screen. I circled what I want you to see in red. ;]

Stephen Colbert Host of ''The Colbert Report'' )

The second is a still from TCR: Global Edition. The words in the intro are the same as the regular TCR intro, except for the very last one in the spiral, that tends to change (President Bush have a hot dog with me, Multi-Grain, etc.). I noticed what the Global Edition had and LAUGHED SO HARD. So here.

Can I lick 'em? WOW...inappropriate XD )

'Pologies for the fuzziness of the pics.

Just the Way You Put Artificial Facts In Your Head
Hello people!

I was in a fairly good mood today until dad got home and mom started yelling at him. *facepalm* That's for later, though.

Photo was cool. We sat in the dark and made the room into a camera. It's a little hard to explain, but we covered up every source of light with black cardboard, then made small holes of light in the back of the room on one of the windows and it projected an upside-down image of the area outside the room. We had people go outside and run around and whatnot and it was projected onto a piece of paper in the room. It was pretty cool.

We also got to take another pic with our shoebox cameras and that was fun. Mine came out pretty well; it was just a line of cars, but it looked cooly. X] Um...so, yeah, math=dull. We took a quiz today and I think I did mostly okay. There was one part (range) that I'm not good at, lol, but that's okay. We've got a test on Wednesday, which I think should be easy enough. Maybe. If I study. ;D

AP Gov. was super fun. Tangents kick some serious ass. We talked about gross-out stuff, actually, but it was just hilarious. And we wasted about twenty minutes laughing like crazy. Totally fun, lol! Um, we did fingerprint-lifting stuff in forensics, and that was epically boring and lame. Definitely not fun.

MindCandy was really cool, though. We talked about the poems we read last week, and then we pretty much had free time. I love talking to everyone in there, they're so much fun. <3 And Mr. Robbins said that he really liked my poem about NYC! TWOOT! I got a hot dog, fries, and ice cream for lunch and it was delicious.

I read through the latest TIME magazine (which is frightening, btw, cuz Palin's face is on the cover) in forensics today, lol, instead of paying attention. There was an article on Spore that was pretty interesting, and Will Wright is crazy awesome (he was on TCR last year about Spore! :D). I thought Spore was kinda stupid but now I dunno...it seems kinda cool...I might have to check it out when the price goes down.

OMG. Okay, obviously, there's a large article on Palin in TIME (duh, her face was on the cover, she's their main story this week). I didn't read it, but I flipped through it and there were pictures included, and one of those pictures showed her holding a gun as if she was about to shoot someone. Another showed her knelt down next to a caribou with a bloody, blown-apart head (she had just shot and killed it) with her youngest daughter kneeling next to her. *shudders*

Mom picked me up and took me home and we put away a bunch of groceries she'd bought before she got me. I did the dishes and mom made chili (for tomorrow's dinner, unfortunately), and then mom left for an appointment and I brought my computer out to the living room and listened to some music.

Oh, when I got the mail, I got a card and a $10 CANADIAN bill from colbertlove. I sent her a WristStrong bracelet a bit ago, and she sent me that *points to previous sentence* in return. I was SO excited, lol! :D Their money is so much prettier than America's. And, it's worth more! TWOOT! Can't wait to change it out for US bucks. And the card is super sweet. LOVES! <3

I spent the afternoon watching vids on YouTube, mostly ones containing Bill O'Reilly being his regular douchey self. The more I hear him speak, and the more I see him actually think he is authentically correct in his thoughts, the more I want someone to shoot him. How does he still have a fucking show? Another reason to hate people. *shakes head* Anywho, the title of this post is from O'Reilly's interview with Letterman, which is fantastic. Oh, and you should hear this, which is Bill getting pissed off and CUTTING HIS OWN CO-HOST'S MIC OFF!

*ahem* Moving on. When mom and dad got home, everything went downhill. They started arguing and it was SO annoying, and then Nick pissed dad off further and he went...somewhere. I have no idea if he actually left the house or what...but ya know, I really don't care. Teh rents have been having a ridiculous amount of idiotic arguments lately and I'm really fucking sick of it.

I was in a freakishly good mood, like, all afternoon and for a while when teh rents were home. That was nice. Um...oh! The damn US Open replaced Jeopardy tonight, which kinda ticked me off, lol. But we did watch a couple serves (I doubt that's the technical term, hehe!), and it was between Federer and...uh..."M" something...Murray? I think? Something like that. And Federer won. Whoot. X]

Holy fucking shit, the rich text is SERIOUSLY pissing me off. It won't let me format anything! I can't bold or italicize or strike-through or underline without it fucking up EVERYTHING. I'm getting really pissed off. *headdesk* I tried to do a meme and it fucked the whole thing up and I just gave up on it, and I REALLY wanted to post it. So, um, yeah, *is crazy annoyed*.

Gah. So, in conclusion, today was not very good. And ya know? I didn't post the picspam challenge yesterday. I think I'm gonna take this week off from it and just post on Friday. So, you guys get another four days to post your entry for the last picspam challenge.

I made a vid last night, but I still have to upload it to YouTube. I'll post it when I'm done. :]

What Does That Mean, "Play Us Out?"
Hello people!

Sorry for the late post tonight, guys. I've been kinda busy today. I got to sleep til 10:30 this morning! :D YAYZ SLEEP! But at one point before I got up - around 9:00, maybe? - the IDIOT DOG WHO I HATE WITH A BURNING FIERY PASSION started barking at NO ONE outside the front door and he wouldn't shut the fuck up, and my mom did NOTHING to stop him, so I had to get up, leave my room in my tank-top (that I don't wear around the house cuz it's kinda revealing, it's just comfortable to sleep in), and shut the front door so the dog would stop barking. Mom was like, "Hi" and I was like, "Yeah, hi." and went back to sleep.

When I finally got up, I don't actually remember what I did right away. Um...I watched some TDS/TCR (<3), and Stephen showed some "Make McCain Exciting" clips, one of them showing O'Reilly's melt-down side-by-side with McCain talking. It was hilarious. I love the O'Reilly melt-down vid, so I decided to use a line from it as tonight's title. I LOVE IT IT'S HILARIOUS. Watch it if you haven't, yet.

Anywho, I had to research all this info on, like, six or seven colleges, which sucked. Then I did the laundry, the dishes, and checked the mail. Tomb Raider II came today! :D As did Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and my web-cam. Guh, my web-cam is so annoying, and OMG, it's taking for-freaking-ever to install all the software scheiss. *headdesk* But it's coming along...slowly. Once I get it all set up, I'll make a vid and post it (which will also prolly take me forever). Luckily, I'll be up from midnight to midnight tonight/tomorrow for MEME DAY! WHOO! :D

Speaking of Meme Day, I hope you guys are ready! It's gonna be awesome! Mom appreciates Meme Day, even though she thinks it's kinda stupid, but dad is being such an ass about what's important to me. I told him I won't be able to do much tomorrow since I'm running Meme Day, and he was like, "Well that's not my problem. That's a stupid waste of time, if you ask me." Well I didn't fucking ask him, but anyway. I said, "It's not stupid to me, or to my friends." and he said, "The people you've never met before?!" And he's just being such an asshole.

We recorded Cash Cab cuz we weren't home for it tonight, and we recorded Miami Ink last night, and now mom and dad are watching it without me (we *ALWAYS*) watch shows together, especially those shows. So I got really upset and left the room. I can't believe them sometimes! They write off everything I do as unimportant just cuz it's not relevant to them! Well, they can fuck off.

*SIGH* Moving on. Nick and I played Croft Manor, which is really just for fun, but there's a classical song that plays if you press a button on the wall, and it's WONDERFUL. I normally don't like classical music, but guh, this song is just fantastic. <3 Mom came home eventually and she took me out to dinner at this Italian restaurant, which was okay, though their salad sucked. We went over to Target so mom could return something and bopped around for a couple minutes (and I saw S'Michael, a school buddy, working the Starbucks counter! :D).

Mom got me coffee from Speedway (believe it or not, they have the best coffee EVAH) and then we went home. We had our little tiff and now I'm with Nick, playing Tomb Raider II in his room. *is bummed* Oh, but Nick looked up the classical song from TR2 that I love so much and downloaded it. <333 Sometimes, he's amahzing, really.

Blossomcup seems to have a gold-mine of all these hilarious vids, lol, cuz she sent me the link to another one today! AND ZOMG SO FUNNY! XD It's called, "New Math," and you guys should watch it. It gets a tad inappropriate towards the end, so I recommend watching it ALONE. But yeah...funny. X]

Kay, if any of you are tech savvy, can ya help me out? My web-cam program (that allows me to actually MAKE VIDEOS) won't work. Every time I open the program, it pulls up a silver box, where you can take a picture, record sound, or make a video, but it freezes and doesn't respond, and I have to close it every single time! No matter what I do, it doesn't seem to work. I've checked the Windows Live help section of the website, and that wasn't helpful at all. I tried un-installing and re-installing the software. Nothing works. So if someone can help, that'd be great.

Seriously, I'm quite excited for tomorrow. I do fear that I might fall asleep at some point, though.

Love y'all - Mira/Doc/Kat *meow*

P.S. Have you done my picspam challenge yet? DO IT!

Chuck and Kelly Are Doin' It Again!

Hello people!

Gah, I'm so sleepy. And yet, I insist on staying up til at least midnight. Maybe I should change my sleeping/staying up habits...naw, the year's almost over. I'll catch up on sleep during the summer. Ya know, every morning I contemplate sleeping an extra 10, 20, 30 minutes, til my dad comes to get me up. But then I think that I'm the responsible kid and need to get up. So I do. I wish I wasn't the responsible one, sometimes.

Math was fine, we took that test today (ya know, the one I didn't study for), and I think I did alright, but I also thought I did alright on that unit circle quiz, so I'm not gonna hold my breath, lol. Chem sucked. We got rained out of tie-dying our shirts today (which we're doing, incase I forgot to mention that...but I don't think I did...), so we had to take a test. Blech. BTW, I don't understand why we can't tie-dye in the classroom (which is a SCIENCE LAB room); when my bro and I were little, we used to tie-dye with mom and dad in our house. But whatevs.

AP Euro, we watched more of that movie. I think we're almost done, now. Yay. German, we played Balderdash, which is an *awesome* board game! I LOVE it! I played with Jody, Jen, Zac, Frau, and Adam, and it was just really fun. I wanna buy that game. Then, in Brit Lit, we read another story and answered questions. Blah. Creative Writing, David brought his guitar and played the Snickers song while another kid in class sang along. It was awesome. And then we watched Twilight Zone, but we didn't get to finish it yet.

My dad picked me up right after school and took me over to Speedway for some coffee, then to the bowling alley. Unfortunately, drinks aren't allowed in the bowling alley, so I had to leave my coffee in the car. It stayed warm, though, so, s'all good. And so, I went inside and found Jody, Jen, Hanelore, and Joss, with whom I hung out and bowled with. My dad kinda had to stick around cuz we weren't gonna be there too long, and he believed it was stupid to drive home just to have to drive back out in an hour or two. So he stayed (which is fine, cuz my rents pretty much rule).

So, the first time we bowled, we actually broke the ball reloader thing (whatever it's called - the thing that gives you your ball back) and we had to move to the next two lanes over. The first game, I bowled an 88. The second game, I bowled a 103 (I never said I was GOOD at bowling, lol). While it's true that I think I rather suck at bowling, I really love it. It's just really fun for me.

And GAH! I love my friends so much. Hanging with Jody, Jen, Hanelore, Joss, and the two Davids (when they got there) was pure fun. It's National Cuddle Fest Day (part two), so we all cuddled on the loveseats they had in the alley (instead of those bucket-type chairs). I'm not much of a touchy-feely person most of the time, but cuddling is fun, I must say, LOL!

My dad met all my friends (Jody, Joss, Hanelore, Stefan, the other David [R.], and Frau Hofinger), and even chatted with David V., who he already met when we did that German vid thing. And he loves all my friends, and Hanelore said (in front of him), "I like your dad, Kat, he's much cooler than you." She was just jokin' around, lol, but, yeah. I can't wait to hang with them all again. DAMN, it was fun. And I'm *so* lookin forward to David's grad party on Saturday and then sleepover!Movie Night with Jen! WHOO!

Yay for sexual innuendo (that link is to a Rules of Engagement clip with lotsa innuendo...)! Back to You had a scheiss-load of innuendo tonight. And it was HILARIOUS! That's where the post title comes from; Chuck and Kelly were gonna tell everyone that they had slept together, but Ryan and the station manager had made up a new ad campaign that said, "Chuck and Kelly are doin' it again!" (as in, REPORTING TOGETHER again). But, obviously, it was taken inappropriately, and the picture that went with the tagline showed Chuck standing behind Kelly in such a fashion that it looked as though he were...well, put the pieces together yourselves, lol. But it was a hilarious episode tonight.

AMERICAN IDOL. GAH. I'm upset that Syesha's gone, cuz I'd rather have her competing with Cook than Archuleta competing with him, but I'm *so glad* that Cook made it through. I hope he wins. That'd be PURE awesome.

Haha! I saw the funniest damn thing today on NoFactZone.net. Apparently, 20 years ago, Bill O'Reilly got really pissed off while taping the end of his show and ZOMG, it's so hilarious. WATCH IT, cuz it needs to be watched. *WARNING: the linked-to video has a couple f-bombs in it, so be careful where you watch it.*

Well, fuck. Marc Dann resigned today. I think I care about this story a little more than I should because Marc Dann was one of the people I talked about in a research paper last year (defending him against a mud-slinger that put up bad advertising against Dann). I kinda was gunning for him not to resign. I guess the issue's over and there's nothing else to discuss.

I checked my blog stats on WordPress and, turns out, a local website has a "Blog Round-Up," where they mention blogs related to a certain event going on or something like that, lol. So, I checked out a link that referred somewhere around 25 people to my blog, and I saw that I was the first on the list of the "Blog Round-Up!" I think I over-reacted and got a little too excited, but what can I say? I like being noticed by people I don't know, LOL. So, check it out!

I gotta do some homework real quick, type up my fic and POST IT (cuz it must be done tonight), read a couple fics, then go to sleep. I wish I'd slept earlier today. Napped or something. Cuz damn, I'm wiped out. Maybe I'll just save the fics for reading later...yeah, I think I'll do that...

Somehow, I screwed up with the countdown to the end of school, so here is the *fixed* number of days left: 15.

Love y'all - Mira/Doc/Kat *meow*
