I Would Vote for Santa Clause
Hello people!

I love him, and ya know, I got that CD of his for Christmas, so I thought I'd share! :D

Is This Really Our Business? ...No, I Thought Not
Hello people!

Last night, I watched Kiki's Delivery Service again. I can't explain why, but I was incredibly depressed. Like, just, when we got home, I found myself utterly sad and I just didn't wanna be around anyone. *shakes head* I know, I'm so weird. So I went to my room and made a bracelet with one of the KLUTZ books I got and watched teh movie again. That movie makes me ridiculously happy, hence my rewatching it.

The title of this post is something Jiji says...it might be paraphrased, but, ya know. I really love Jiji, lol. I wish I had my own Jiji (one that could talk, of course, with the voice of Phil Hartman, lol). He's just so cute! Okay, enough of that. I watched Home Improvement and The Cosby Show, and on BOTH shows, it was someone's birthday! :D How crazy is that?

I slept til 1:00 today. In the afternoon! I hardly ever do that, EVER. Why? Cuz I know mom will yell at me if I do. And guess what? Totally happened, lol. Yes, mom yelled at me and got me up noisily, but I understand, I should not have slept that late. I think I was really tired, cuz I went to bed at 12:30 last night, and that's really not late for me. *shrugs* Oh, well, lol.

I got up and got online, of course, and then mom had to go to an appointment. I pretty much just chilled, read celli's wonderful meme that she posted about me. I think it's the best birthday present I've ever gotten. I intend to reciprocate, lol. <3 Then I did the dishes and listened to more of my Lewis Black CD. It's pretty funny, especially the Santa part. He suggests we elect Santa as President. BEST IDEA EVER.

I finally revised my essays and I think they came out okay...I still have to write that third one, though, and I must admit, I'm having trouble with it. Here's the prompt, do you think you guys could suggest ideas? I pretty much don't know how to even start this damn thing.

Hey all you people, hey all you people... )

*sigh* Applying to college sucks. Moving on. I believe you're caught up. Haven't really done much today. Oh, [info]phantom_roxs  said she wanted to see my essays, so I'm gonna post 'em here, under a cut. :]

====

Argue your position: for or against a reinstatement of the draft.

Why I'm against the draft )

====

Pick someone who has had an influence on your life and explain that influence.

How Stephen Colbert has influenced my life )

====

If you guys have any suggestions/criticisms on how either essay could be better, lemme know. Help is much appreciated. :] Let's see, what else. Oh, we're having bacon sandwiches for dinner. I LOVE BACON. XD It makes me think of this video, which makes me laugh every time.

I guess that's it! OHHH! I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow! :D I'm excited, but nervous, cuz I don't really know exactly how I want it cut. We'll just see how it goes, lol. *shrugs*

Love y'all - Mira/Doc/Kat *meow*

Have Fun in Maccu Piccu, You Selfish Bitch!
Hello people!

I had a couple weird dreams last night. In one of them, I was doing another vote-themed event at my school, but this time, it was MUCH smaller. Like, only 100-150 people were there. However, I did have this majorly famous guest (though I don't know who...), so that had everyone all excited. When the event was over, I went to shake my guest's hand and realized she was insanely tall.

And by that I mean she was about two and a half feet taller than me. She was wearing 6-inch heels, so that explains the half foot, but yeah, I had to strain my neck to talk to her, lol. Then I woke up and fell back asleep. In the next dream, this freakish, angry man was trying to scare/kill me and a few friends (though I don't recall who).

We were cowering behind this ship that was washed up on this beach and was totally hollow. All I remember is the guy was laughing evilly and we were hiding behind the ship, then I was suddenly him and I was sitting next to the people hiding from him/me. I said something to the group and then Gretchen from Prison Break was there and said something to me, but I don't remember what.

Then, randomly, there was a phone on the ground and his/my mom was talking to me through it. And he/I was like, "Mom? Is that you?" and got really upset and teary and started crying and then Gretchen told me to man up and be strong and I told her to fuck off. And then we were all in my old house's kitchen (in Connecticut) and we were making ourselves sandwiches with lettuce (that stands out particularly, for some reason).

Dad came in and asked what was up cuz it was obvious that I (still he/me) had been crying, and I said, "Nothing, I'll be right there." And I stared at the lettuce for a second then I woke up. See? Those don't make any sense at all. *shakes head* The good thing, though? I slept until 1:00 today. And it was wonderful, lol.

Mom and dad left to get our Christmas tree and I made myself some lunch. Then I watched the TDS/TCRs from two weeks ago (the week before last). They were GOOD, lol. The title of this post is from Wednesday's Back in Black segment on TDS, of course. I love Lewis Black. He's so hysterical. Here's the clip, cuz it's kinda hard to explain.

OH! And the Obama condoms? Funniest goddamn thing I've ever seen. And when The Word said, "It's called a 'condom,' Stephen," I could not stop laughing. And when Denis Leary made Jon giggle leik whao, and when that guy whose name escapes me told Stephen he was brilliant and handsome and such. SO FUNNY. There were a lotta great moments in those eps a couple weeks ago.

Then I recorded a few videos that I will put together and post over the next coupla weeks (one of them should be up by tomorrow night...), played some more Splinter Cell (and beat it for the, like, 20th time) and listened to the Colbert Christmas soundtrack AGAIN, lol. Um. Yeah. That's about it. Today was fairly uneventful.

I still have homework to do and we're prolly gonna watch Christmas With the Kranks, which is a rockin' movie, lol. OH! Speaking of Jamie Lee Curtis, guess what?! She's coming here this month! :DDD Well, not here, exactly...Dayton...The Greene...but still! We're gonna go see her! And Mike Huckabee will be in Easton on Tuesday...or maybe it's tomorrow, but I think it's Tuesday. XD And I'm gonna go see him, too!

I have this fic I'm workin' on, but I can only do it by hand cuz I can't exactly write Jon/Stephen awesomeness on the family computer, and Ty just won't stay awake long enough for me to do anything. That frustrates me to no end, I HATE hand-writing stuff. SO, anywho, I dunno when it'll be done, but I'm gonna try my damndest to get it done before break (which starts the 18th for me).

You know what my parents told me yesterday? They have most of my Christmas shopping done already. As in, they only have a couple of things to get online and then they're done. Is it weird that they're done SO early or does everyone do that, lol? ...*points to icon* That's my fave screen-cap of all time EVER. I love it so. <3

Yeah. The end.

Love y'all - Mira/Doc/Kat *meow*

Oh My God, You Incredible Nerd!

Hello people!

I actually did work today. I hate doing work, lol. I cleaned the bathroom and did the dishes and blahblahblah. My chair has been moved forward in the living room, by, like, four feet, and there's a treadmill where my chair used to be.

Most of you know that I'm pretty OCD about certain things, and one of those things is my seat. In school or at home, I don't want my seat to be touched. Or sat in. Or moved. So the fact that my chair has been moved really bothers me. But there's nothing I can do about it; mother has spoken and she wants the treadmill where it is. *SIGH*

I spent whatever free time I had today in my room, listening to Viva La Vida. And chatting with my loverly fiance, Hannah (bigfish05). I actually spent a decent amount of time on LJ today. Um, so, then, my mom got home and we decided to go to Barnes and Noble.

We chilled there for, like, three-ish hours, I think. I found Lewis Black's newest book, Me of Little Faith. I expected it to be very angry, but it didn't seem like that to me. It seemed...I dunno, but I absolutely loved it. I really wanna buy it; I'll just have to wait til the price goes down from $25!

I also found a book called, Hit List by Lawrence Block. I read the first ten pages of it in the store, and I gotta say, it's pretty good thus far. Not amazering, but I like it. I've got so many books to read, it's crazy. There's this one, then Jen gave me Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None, then there's Crichton's The Lost World, not to mention the stupid Chris Matthews book and that other one I gotta read for AP Gov next year. Grawr. So many books, so little time!

Moving on...we went to World Market after that, and I gotta say, I fucking love that store. It's amazering. I wanna buy, like, half the stuff in that store. I got a wonderful little painting with wine bottles and glasses on it. I love those, but I dunno why. I just love stuff like that. I have another painting with a bottle of wine and a glass. It just strikes me as gorgeous.

Oh! Earlier, we went to Blockbuster and rented Vantage Point and Charlie Bartlett, which I'm supremely excited to see. I'm gonna have to watch them tonight or tomorrow. Anywho...we got some fast food for dinner, which I kinda wish we hadn't done cuz now I don't feel so good, but, oh well.

The title of this post is from Cash Cab. Ben said it to one of the contestants. He just sounded hilarious and cheese, it sounds mean, lol, but it's so not. X] And ZOMG, Ben just made up a word; magmanificent. It wins. And I love my new icon *points*. It's Solid Snake, from Metal Gear Solid. AND he's made of crazy win, so I really love it, lol.

I'm a little pissed at the local monopoly over NBC's broadcasting, because Red, White, and Boom!, which is an event taking place downtown, is being shown for THREE HOURS instead of Last Comic Standing. Going to RWB? That's fine. Watching it on TV? Could that be anymore lame? It's so fail. I really wanna watch LCS. *SIGH*

Did you know that Viacom was trying to sue YouTube video-watchers who were watching copyrighted vids? Isn't that ridiculous?! Luckily, the suit was against Google, and Google told them, basically, to fuck off, so I don't think we have anything to worry about. Check it out for yourself by heading to NoFactZone and scrolling about the front page. Three articles are listed there concerning the whole thing.

Um...I hope it pours down rain. I want the pounding rhythm and the darkness.

Love y'all - Mira/Doc/Kat *meow*

P.S. To quote my favorite villian of all time, "tonight is the fucking night." This is the last night for the pajama picspam challenge, if you don't do it, I'll have to smack you. And an online smacking is HARSH YO. X] So do it. Oh, and if you don't do this one, you're gonna have to do *two* picspams this coming week, lol. AND YOU WILL DO IT. *does Jedi mind-trick* [my picspam challenge my picspam challenge my picspam challenge my picspam challenge]

He Made the Crippled See and the Blind Walk
Hello people!

Explanation of title: Tis from Lewis Black's newest book, "Me of Little Faith." It sounds f-ing hilarious. He made MySpace promo vids for his book, basically reading passages from his book, but doing it as if he wasn't reading them, lol. I'm looking forward to buying his book, though I dunno when it comes out...I should look that up.

Um...oh, right, school! Math was okay, we didn't do much today; we actually kinda had a convo with the teacher about his prom date from high school, lol. It was hilarious and fun. His best friend stole his crush, so he stole her back, haha. GO TEACHER! XD

OMG, Chem was fun today! We did the dry ice lab and GAH! SO COOLY! We put little slivers of dry ice into a pipet, which is a small, plastic little tube-esque thing, then folded it down and clamped it with pliers, then stuck it in a plastic, water-filled cup. And the pipets expanded and popped and sent water up into the air and it hit the ceiling! BEST. CLASS. EVER.

AP Euro was boring; all he did was blab notes. Tomorrow, we're watching a video/documentary thing, though, and those are actually kinda fun, so yeah. German, we had a free period! :D YAY! We weren't sposed to, but we kinda forced Frau into it, and since she's so laid back, she went for it. *LOVES* Frau. I spent all that period showing the boys (David, Jody, Michael, Adam, and Zac) comics of Cyanide and Happiness. And I fucking loved it. Do you have any idea how fun it is to read hilarious comics with a bunch of guys standing around you? It's pretty fun. X]

So then was Brit Lit, and we just listened to more poetry and shtuffs, blah. And then Creative Writing, which was another reading period. Read some more Jurrasic Park. Oh! And today is Anal Day! A couple days ago, I mentioned Anal Day from Creative Writing, and it stuck (in my head), so I notified people of it today, lol. And it was amusing.

I *desperately* wanted to watch Supernatural tonight, but my mom was feeling really sick, so we didn't get to. I'm gonna make up for it tomorrow by having a fucking MARATHON, lol...if I can. XD I have to get some sleep for the ACT's, which are on Saturday at 7:45 AM (NO ONE should be up that early on a Saturday).

My bro wanted to get get a pink shirt at Target so he could get extra credit in TWO of his (godDAMN) classes tomorrow, so I came with cuz I wanted to bop around for clothes. Guess what? I got two new shirts and a pair of shorts! I haven't worn shorts to school since...jeez, I don't know that last time...maybe not ever...in fact, no, I've never worn shorts to school, and I'm going to tomorrow, so I'm pretty happy bout that. :D I had to pay for the clothes myself, but that's okay, I feel more responsible that way, lol.

I watched Don't Forget the Lyrics tonight, which I don't usually do, but it was on, so, yeah. OMG, the woman on here EPICALLY PHAILS. She doesn't know freaking PETER FRAMPTON! I mean, come on. She's really annoying, too, and she blew all three - ALL THREE - of her back-ups on the Frampton song ("Show Me the Way"). It was her second song! GAH!

There's a new commercial for the AT&T GO phone with Meatloaf and his wife and son singing about the son getting a cell phone and they sing, "Let Me Sleep On It" but...a cell phone version. It's hilariously awesome.

Oh! American Idol...SUCKED. I can NOT believe that Michael Johns went home. WTF?! Kristy Lee Cook NEEDS TO LEAVE NOW! She's a no talent hack and she sucks total noodles and I hate her. I'm *SO GLAD* that Syesha (sp?) and Carly are still thur, cuz they're both so good, but godDAMN it, Michael was so fantastic. *sadness*

Time for sleep...haha, maybe. Fanfics, then email, then sleep. *evil smile*

Love y'all - Mira/Doc/Kat *meow*
