Watson, What Have You Done?
Hello people!

ZOMG it's been sooooo long since I made icons of any sort. These are from the Sherlock Holmes trailer, made from screencaps taken by e_colberto (LJ's not letting me put in usernames...huh...). Same rules as always. <3

+ 31 Sherlock Holmes icons, total )

Until Someone Writes "Fuck It, We're All Gonna Die"
Hello people!

Holy crap! How the hell is it 7:00? This day has gone by fast! :O Happy Good Friday, btw.

I know I had dreams last night, but I don't remember them completely. Just teeny bits and pieces that hold no significance. Hmm. I woke up once at 9:30 cuz I heard mom talking on the phone ridiculously loudly, then went back to sleep for an hour. By then, teh rents had left for work and Nick was still sleeping. I took a shower and hopped online. I decided to listen to some music this morning.

Since Nick was asleep (or so I thought), I didn't think it'd matter if I blasted my music (he could sleep through a train-wreck). I was wrong. I guess he was awake already and he came out and yelled for me to turn my music down. I told him no and he stormed off. The music wasn't even THAT loud. I wish he had friends' houses he could go over to. In desperate need of some me-time, here.

[info]edgarallen linked me to a pdf.format version of the entire Twilight saga. I skimmed through it. It's total shit. I was so bored with it I could barely get through an entire page. And Bella and Edward are two of the most annoying, ridiculous characters I've ever read! And honestly, SMeyer sucks at writing dialogue and feelings. It makes me wonder if she was EVER in a relationship as a teen.

I mean, I've been single my whole life and even I could write better relationship dialogue. It was really shitty. So I stopped reading it, lol. I would like to read the birth scene, though, which I hear is horrific. X] Glutton for punishment here. Anywho, I pretty much spent the day alternating between hating Twitter for glitching so bad and watching four week old TDS/TCR eps.

The title of this post is from the Neil Gaiman (yes, just watched it) interview which was HYSTERICAL. OMG, Neil is so hilarious! He was nervous about it, too, so it was nice to see him so calm and funny around Stephen. <3 Oh, and Glenn Beck is fucking insane, but I think we all know that already, lol. I saw that clip of him weeping for his country. HOLY MOO COW. Really? I mean, really?

Is it too much to ask for for an incredibly awesome song about a girl saying she's better off without some guy? I'm so sick of hearing about girls who are so fucking dependent on boys. Mom bought this CD that had a song where this woman kept singing that she was helpless without her guy and she couldn't live without him. REALLY? THEN HOW THE FUCK DID YOU LIVE BEFORE YOU MET HIM?! *breathes*

Sorry, lol. I thought that was an important thing to say. X] Um. OH! [info]hiddenxplaces posted this funny and awesome song called, "Fuck You" by Lily Allen. I dunno how many of you have heard it, but OMG, it's so great. XD I'm also gonna post another song of hers called, "Smile," which I love, even though it's about a girl who was super upset about losing her boyfriend. *facepalm*

Vid!spam of musical proportions )

P.S. Which icon haven't I used in a long time?

P.S.S. As a small Good Friday gift to you all, here's a handful of Robert Downey Jr. icons I made a while ago. Same rules as always, of course.

Muenster? That Cheese Is So Goth
Hello people!

Today was slightly less than awesome.

I woke up at noon. Blech. That kicks off my day crappily. I checked my email and went out to say hi to dad. The mail had come already, so I got it. There was a letter from school telling dad that Nick was failing two classes. A huge fight broke out over the course of half an hour and we've been at odds with each other all day. I posted about this, my feelings on Supernatural, and music for you to download earlier.

I mentioned a week or so ago that I got The Sims2: Apartment Life and that it was an expansion pack. Turns out I don't have the game you need to be able to play it. So I wanted to return the game. Dad took me to GameStop and I tried to trade it in to get my money back, but as it turns out, they don't do that for PC games. *shakes head* So I got store credit instead, which is fine since we go there all the time.

I just was hoping to get my cash back so I could get a movie or a book or something, but we really do go there a lot, so credit's okay with me. The guys behind the counter were super nice, too, so yeah. Dad took me home and I've been in my room all day, brooding and listening to music. I have to write three articles for work today, but I can't bring myself to do anything.

I don't feel like watching Jon or Stephen at all, nor do I feel like freaking working. I just wish school was over and I could sleep all day and never do anything again. *headdesk* There's really not much else to say. Mom picked up dad and they're going off somewhere, prolly having dinner or something, I dunno. Mom said she'd bring home Chick-Fil-A. <3

Dad'll prolly tell her all about the grade issue and shit and then she'll remember that I told her report cards came out yesterday and she'll demand to see them. Then Nick and I'll get yelled at and be sent to our rooms and the weekend will be completely destroyed. Mehhh. Um, I should post something happy or funny or something, shouldn't I? This is a very down post.

I think that vid's pretty funny. Plus, the lead singer is super cute AND Toby Turner has a cameo as a back-up singer! :D Title of this post is something I saw randomly on Twitter. I have no clue what the context is, lol.

Come Over to the Dark Side; We Has Cheezburgers
Hello people!

Today was fun but also...I dunno...weird? I'm in this incredibly odd mood. I'm not angry or sad, I just feel...kinda depressed. I don't know.

I had a dream last night, but the only thing I remember is that this guy worked with his best friend at a movie company. The BFF got the guy the job, even though the guy doesn't really know what he's doing. Um. Yeah, something happened, but I don't recall what. *shrugs* I woke up around eleven, of course. Got online for a bit, said hi to mom and dad, and started my day with a root beer float. X]

Mom and I decided that I would accept Green Mountain's offer now, rather than waiting to hear from NYU or Amherst. I don't really wanna go to Amherst (and kinda never did), and I hear that NYU is big on rejections. I'm really actually more than happy with going to Green Mountain. We looked at them more last night and this morning and they seem really amazing and totally awesome. I'm excited to go there.

Around 1:00, we went to Easton, which is this huge, sprawling, outside-mall. It was REALLY fun. We stopped at Hot Topic and I got: a Dexter t-shirt (!!!), a Kingdom Hearts t-shirt, and a LOLcat t-shirt! :D I wanted to get a Coraline t-shirt and a Charlie the Unicorn t-shirt, but they were $20 each and I don't have that kind of money, lol! X] We also got Nick a God of War II t-shirt and an MGS4 t-shirt. LOVE that store. <3

Then we went to Barnes&Noble and I bought myself Dearly Devoted Dexter (the books actually came before the show) and John Green's An Abundance of Katherines. I was afraid I wouldn't like John's work because while he's a HILARIOUS vlogger on YouTube, his books are more teen reading and I don't usually go for that sort of thing, but hot damn, this book is pretty funny so far. I really like it!

I also got a cute tote bag that's one of those save/reuse bags, ya know? It's green and it's got a tree on it, but instead of leaves, the tree's growing books! :D So adorable. Then we went to Olive Garden for dinner (around 5:00). That was delicious, of course. We got the ushe and I got a piece of my black tie mousse cake to go. Then mom stopped by Dress Barn for work clothes and I went to GameStop.

I wanted to see if they had the new Sims2: Apartment Life game for PC cuz I saw it and thought it looked awesome. They had it, but it says, "EXPANSION PACK" on the front, and I don't remember the original I saw saying that. I bought it, but now I'm really worried it's not the right one. Oh, well. If it's an expansion pack, I have a basic Sims game for it to go with, anyway. *shrugs*

We stopped at Michael's after that and I got an awesome print of Van Gogh's Starry Night. I really love it, it's def one of my all-time favorite paintings. Then we stopped at Blockbuster and picked up the second DVD of the first season of Dexter, cuz I haven't seen those eps. YAY! Then we came home. I kinda burst into tears on the way, though, and I still don't know why. Like I said, I'm not upset.

I have no reason to be, I got a ton of amazing stuff today! I really don't understand myself at all sometimes, lol. But yeah, now we're home and I gotta write up another article for work. Oh, everyone's doing that damn pick three men: marry, fuck, throw off a cliff meme, so I figure I should do it, too, lol. Shoebox gave me Kiefer Sutherland, Jon Stewart, and Robert Downey Jr.

You know the rules and so do I )

Mmm. Delicious men. <3 UM. Oh, title of this post is from my LOLcat t-shirt! XD I'll have to take pics at some point...eventually, lol. When I'm not feeling so utterly lazy. I'm gonna go eat my cake and watch 24. I never did that homework so it's either tonight or tomorrow that I gotta get 'em done, and Jon/Stephen will be saved for tomorrow, as I'm so not in the mood to laugh right now. Uh, yeah.

Love y'all - Mira/Doc/Kat *meow*

P.S. I know some of you are Zachary Quinto fans (Sylar from Heroes). I wanted to tell you incase you didn't know, Zachary played Adam in season 3 of 24 as a computer analyst - one of the best. I have been informed that he lives through the entire season! :D (I obviously don't remember much of season 3, it's not one of my faves, lol) I must admit, I'm not really a fan of his, but I think he looks pretty good on 24...

EDIT: OH JEEZ. I forgot! I finished my MindCandy final project last night!

Video and lyrics under the cut! :] )

Nobody Will Ever Be Forgotten as Long as They Are Remembered
Hello people!

I got rid of/replaced a TON of icons today (like, twenty!). It feels good. I mean, I feel guilty for taking out the old ones (as I usually do), but putting up new ones ALWAYS makes me happy. Plus, they're AWESOME. XD

We had a 48-minute late start today (we have 'em once a month), but I got up at the regular time; six o'clock. I did my math homework and watched one and a half eps of TDS/TCR (basically, I watched an ep of each, then half an ep of TDS, lol). THEY ROCKED. Though, honestly? I can't remember their content for the life of me! All I can remember is that I really loved them and thought they were hysterical...

*facepalm* OH! I had a dream that my parents were laughing at me about something, and I said, "I'm not fucking kidding!" to my parents and they just laughed harder and I started crying. Why have my dreams lately ended in me crying? *shakes head* THEN, mom and dad called me out to the living room around 7:00 and we watched the first...roughly fifty minutes of the Oscars, which we DVR'd.

OH MAN. Hugh Jackman was GREAT. He's sexy and has a fantastic singing voice and fuck me, can he move! He's wonderful, lol. And Josh Brolin looked SO good last night, and Robert Downey Jr. was adorable...SO MANY good-looking men to stare at! It was nice, lol. And the awards part wasn't too bad, either. The In Memoriam segment made me weep fairly hard. They showed Michael Crichton. *tears*

Wow, okay, anywho, back to the day. Dad drove us to school, less-than-willingly. He really didn't wanna drive us, but, ya know, that's not my problem, lol. Instead of having myth class today, we went to listen to this lady tell stories, which I did last year, so I dunno why I have to listen to her again. I HATE this woman. She comes to us in February (for Black History Month) and tells stories about God and slavery.

It disgusts me and I hate the stupid stories and she does this annoying thing where she says, "Go forth and do as the spirit say do." GUH. I just wanna beat her stupid face in...okay, sorry, lol, most of us don't like this woman and I'm just sick of her. I hated her the first time and the only positive this time is that classes were shortened and she could only tell us three stories, as opposed to, like, six or seven.

Oh, and she said the title of this post. When she said it, I turned to Sarah, who was next to me, and was like, "Seriously? Doesn't that go without saying?" and she started laughing and was like, "Um, I thought so." Yeah, but the stupid woman REPEATED that phrase, like, three times. Like, um, DUH! *rolls eyes*

ANYWHO. I got my first quiz from last week back in math, and I got a 17/20, which, I think, equals to a B- or a C+? Either way, that's fine with me. And I just made simple mistakes and I know what I did wrong, it's not an issue of if I actually learned the stuff, which was the problem last time. ANYWHO, we also took this really short student survey where they asked if we'd prefer an online textbook. I, of course, said, "YES!"

In AP Gov., we reviewed for the test tomorrow. Meh. I shan't say anything about that. We started watching The Crucible in AmLit and I LOVE THAT MOVIE, lol. XD It's so kick-ass. And the scene where Abby meets John behind the house and kisses him and then moves her hand to his crotch is...well, kinda hot, LOL. Even though Winona is kinda ugly (sorry, but it's true). Jen, you've made me like Daniel.

Dewey was absent again in MindCandy, so we did virtually nothing. We had to re-type the poems we'd read and corrected, but that took, like, ten minutes, LOL. Robbins started singing "Rag Doll," which made Shampel play "Dream On" on his computer. That lead Shampel to play a game with us where he plays a song and we name the band/artist and song title. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN.

The first one Shampel played started off really ominous yet barely audible, and people were guessing, "Pink Floyd!" and similar bands. It took me about five seconds to realize what song it was, but I got it and shouted, "Red Rider, Lunatic Fringe!" and Shampel was like, ":O" and Robbins said, "Wow! You really know your music stuff!" and laughed and, yeah. It was just awesome, lol. I LOVE playing that game.

I got, like, half or 2/3 of the songs/artists correct, which was a nice little confidence boost, lol. Dad tests me on bands/songs all the time, so I'm used to playing that game. <3 Dad picked me up and got me some lunch from Burger King. Then we stopped at Best Buy and Circuit City, just for fun, and then we headed home. Mom got home early and we watched the rest of the Oscars. Good stuff.

Hey, if you have a Twitter, you should TOTALLY check out @TweetContest. They're AWESOME. Basically, they offer prizes every coupla days and at 4:30-ish, stay tuned to them on Twitter and they'll ask a question in regard to the prize, then they'll say something like, "The tenth person with the correct @reply will win today's prize." It's really cool, so check out their site and follow them on Twitter!

That's about it, I think. I thought I had something else to say, but I can't, for the life of me, remember what.

Love y'all - Mira/Doc/Kat *meow*

Could Things Been Done Better?
Hello people!

I stayed home today! :D I did it! Unfortunately, I didn't have to do much convincing, I actually felt sick. Dad came in to get me up and I started coughing and he was like, "You can't miss school today, honey, you're missing two days next week!" (which I predicted he'd say last night). He kinda just up and left and I didn't see anyone for thirty minutes.

Then, Nick came in and hugged me and told he was sorry I was sick and that he'd see if I could stay home (have I mentioned that sometimes he can be freakishly amazing? <3). He asked dad and dad said that he wasn't gonna decide if I could stay home. So Nick got mom up (she was still sleeping) to come see me. She didn't even ask how I was, she just came in, sat down next to me, and said I should stay home.

I was hacking my brains out for an hour, so I think that was evidence enough that I felt like shit. She brought me some medicine and the air-purifier thing she bought a week or so ago. Nick stopped by to say hi to me and ask if I needed anything. Then he said if I got bored, I could text him. Then mom had to take him to school (dad had already left for work).

I slept til 10:00, woke up for a few minutes, then went back to sleep. Mom woke me up at 12:30 and said I should probably get up so I could sleep tonight. She left for an appointment and I got up and did my AmLit homework that I spaced on this past weekend. I tried to do my AP Gov and math homework, but I just can't. I dunno why, but I just couldn't do them. *shakes head*

I also had a MindCandy assignment where I'm sposed to drag out one of the sitch writings we did that were due on Friday to be a short story. Well, I think all of my sitch writings kinda suck and I can't think of any way to expand them into a 2-3 page short story. I'd much rather just start a new story, but alas. Can't do that. *sadface*

Anywho, I wrote up that ficlet I posted earlier, lol (yes, I should've been doing homework) and watched some Comedy Central stand-up. It wasn't really all that funny, imo, which is prolly why it was on at 1:00 in the afternoon, lol. I basically just wasted time watching mindless Disney shows (Suite Life on Deck is incredibly lame, btw) until Nick got home.

We chatted a little and he asked if I needed anything, but I was fine. Half an hour later, mom came home and we watched the Golden Globes together. It was decent! I'm bummed that House didn't win anything and that NPH was beat out by, I think, Tom Wilkinson(?). I thought Kate Winslet was really cute. <3 And I hate that people are put into categories where there's a dead person nominated.

For example, Tom Cruise AND RDjr. were nominated for Tropic Thunder, and I think they really deserved to win, but they were put in the same category with Heath Ledger and OF COURSE he's gonna win! It's just not fair to the other people! Of course if someone is dead, they're gonna win the award.

I would never wish that Heath didn't win, but I wish he wasn't even in the category and they just gave him the award and gave everyone else a chance to actually win. Moving on. OH! I saw a commercial for Important Things with Demetri Martin, which is a new series on Comedy Central! It premieres February 11th at 10:30PM! :D I'm STOKED for that!

I watched the Bio of Kiefer Sutherland with mom and dad, then we ate dinner. I must say, I think I'll always love Kiefer Sutherland. He's just such an awesome guy. <3 Title of this post is something I read here and is a quote from Bush (surprise, surprise). *shakes head* I gotta cut this short so I can watch 24, lol, but that's pretty much all that happened today anyway. X]

Whatever, He's Creepy, Fuck Him, Don't Worry About Him
Hello people!

I woke up at 10:30 today. I got almost eleven hours of sleep! And yet? I'm tired, lol! XD How does that happen? I mean, what is it in us that could let us get an immense amount of sleep and STILL be tired? And then, the next day, you'd get, like, four hours of sleep and have to get up early in the morning and you last all day, no problem. The human body must be retarded.

I came out to say hi to mom and dad, then went back to my room cuz there was nothing else to do, lol. I played Splinter Cell on my PSP for about an hour. Mom and dad left to go shopping for some random stuff and a new couch. I did the dishes and took a shower, then Nick got up. He decided to play in the living room (we gave his TV to a needy family a couple days ago, long story), so I went back to my room.

Jen saw Election with Reese Witherspoon and Matthew Broderick a couple days ago and it got me wanting to watch it. See, we bought it a long time ago but I never actually watched it. So I decided to do so today. Let me tell you, it's a stupid movie. It kinda sucks. If you haven't seen it, I don't recommend it. The only good part was the ending, which I found fairly amusing. OH, and when Broderick's character said, "We're not electing the fucking Pope, just tell me who won." XD

After that, I decided to watch another movie I blew cash on and never watched; Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. That one was actually worth the money. It was SO good. I was hesitant cuz my parents rented it last year or two years ago or something and said they hated it. But OMG, they were so wrong. I think they had a problem with the fact that one of the guys was gay and all the sex stuff.

Anywho, Val and RDjr. have great chemistry, imo, and the jokes are hysterical and the action is awesome and the plot! GAH, it's so amazing. I loved it! And I fucking love RDjr. He's so adorable. The title of this post is from teh movie, of course. It's at the very end. Oh, and so is one of the funniest things I've ever heard in a movie, "For all of you good people in the Mid-West, sorry we said 'fuck' so much."

After that, I considered watching Se7en since I've owned that for a while and also have yet to watch THAT. I popped it in and watched about the first ten minutes, then turned it off cuz the beginning was gross and I was about to eat dinner, LOL, so...yeah. I'll have to watch it some other time. It does look fairly gruesome, as [info]zeitgeist_10  warned me. :}

OMG. Okay, every time I post on here, ever since I got Tyrone back and started using him, the cursor keeps disappearing. As in, if I press the spacebar, the cursor totally doesn't move. So I end up pressing space again and then there are two spaces when I start typing. Fucking stupid thing. AND, I keep getting extra spaces between paragraphs. And when I go to the HTML tab, I can't fix it. :(

Let's see, what else. Celli got on a plane today and flew to Hawaii for Christmas vacation! :D She landed and she's safe, so that made me happy. Plane rides scare the fuck outta me. But I think you guys know that already, lol. X] Moving on. Now I'm watching Stealing Harvard. I think it's funny. Stupid, not a fantastic movie, but yeah, funny, lol.

Kay, got a question for you guys, maybe one of you knows the answer: okay, if celli and I were gonna text, and she had an American phone (and phone number), would I still be charged for international texting? Dad barred me from texting celli cuz it would cost for every text sent AND received, but if I won't get charged, I could talk to mah wifeh more and that would ROCK. So, yeah. <3

I guess that's it, lol...

Palin Exceeds Expectations for Debate: Remains Upright, Doesn't Drool
Hello people!

I woke up kinda early today. I mean, I was sposed to get up at 9:30, but I kept waking up before that, until I finally got up at 8:40. It was kinda weird. But I slept well, so I guess s'all good. The unfortunate thing, however, is that I fell asleep whilst on my computer, so poor Tyrone has been on since yesterday morning. *pets Tyrone*

I spent my morning online and then mom, dad and I all left for dad's appointment. We passed a yard sale on the way and got two CD's: the first Matchbox 20 one (for dad) and a Steve Miller Band greatest hits one (for me)! :D So then mom and I chilled in the car while dad met with a guy about painting for him. I read the EW article and it was splendid. The pictures melted me, and I'd seen them already. *shakes head*

The title of this post is from the EW ish with Stephen and Jon, of course. SO HILARIOUS. And so wonderful. I love our boys. They're amahzing. I just wanna snuggle them forever and ever. X] OMF...I want Jon and Stephen plushies! HOW AWESOME WOULD THAT BE?!?! I might have to find someone that can do that...

Moving on. When dad was done, we went to lunch at a place called BJ's, lol. I laughed inwardly. And we had the BEST WAITRESS EVER. She joked with us, had very long conversations, even sat with us for a while! It was the most fun I've ever had at a restaurant EVER. And I got her name so I could add her on Facebook! :D

We left to Polaris and bopped around. Mom picked up her ring that she ordered two-three weeks ago. We stopped at Hot Topic and I got: a Nightmare Before Christmas t-shirt (black and blue and GORGEOUS), a Beetlejuice/Betelguese t-shirt that says, "Handbook for the Recently Deceased," and some black suspenders. I LOVE THEM ALL. <3

We got candles at Yankee Candle and I got one that smells like Autumn in a bottle, lol (it's called, "Autumn Wreath" and I absolutely love it). And then we, um...oh! Then we went to World Market and I got this adorable little monkey that has long arms with magnetic hands and feet, ya know? It's so cute. And chocolate. I got chocolate. And it's delicious. We stopped at Best Buy so I could get a camera, but everything was too expensive. Fuck.

We also went to this HUGE Halloween store and I got these cooly, thin, rectangular, red-lense'd glasses, lol, and they're just pure awesome. I think that's everything...yeah, we had to go to Kroger, but after that, we came home and the latest TIME mag was waiting in the mailbox, so, overall, it was a pretty good day.

Okay, we're watching Iron Man and I must say, I totally love Robert Downey Jr. It's safe to say that I'm definitely a fangirl of his now. He's just SO good-looking and I love the way he talks and...yeah. He rocks. Dad and I have been talking like Sarah Palin ALL DAY and it's so much fun. I can't even begin to describe to you how fun it is to try to mimic her accent, lol. XD Try it out, surrsly.

That's about it, methinks. I don't have a new camera to make vids with, and I'm really unhappy about that, but there's nothing I can do. I have to wait for Christmas. *guh*

It's the End of the World As We Know It...Except, Not
Hello people!

Unfortunately, today turned into a super shitty day.

Photo was boring. We're just doing bookwork. We took that test in Math today, and it wasn't too bad, I don't think. I got back the quiz we took and got a not-so-good grade. But I don't really care. I know I should, but I don't, lol. AP Gov. was...embarassing? We got back the tests we took about a week ago and I got an F. And I think it might have been the lowest grade in the class (not that everyone else did so much better).

That class constantly makes me feel so stupid. I'm fine with the tangents, of course, lol, and current events, but understanding everything she's "teaching" us feels pretty much impossible for me. And the AP test pretty much scares me fucking shitless. We're sposed to write four mandatory essays (two of which have extra, separate points, I believe) in 100 minutes. That's 12 minutes per essay. I can't do that.

Whatever, I'll take it as it comes. But I have a Horrible terrible feeling that I will do absolutely awful in this class this year. Oh, and interims come out...I think...next week. *headdesk* Moving on. In forensics, we made casts of our shoeprints (we were split into groups and did one print per group...since my foot was the smallest, we did mine, lol). The sucky thing is that I had to paint the bottom of my shoe to make a patent (is that right?) print.

The paint was washable, but some of it got stuck in the cracks of the bottom of my shoe and now it's not coming out. *sigh* Um...MindCandy was next, of course, and we wrote found poems today, which is where you take a passage from a book and write it in prose, if that makes sense. It's actually kinda cool. I did mine on a spy during the Civil War (we got our books from the school library and their books kinda suck, lol).

Mr. Robbins snurtched the library's copy of the latest issue of Rolling Stone (the one with the Robert Downey Jr. interview). I asked him if I could borrow it to read the RDJr. interview and he said sure, so I read through about half of it (it's freakishly long, lol). He was such a tortured man a few years ago. I'm glad he's fixed up his life. He's amahzing, he really is. <3

Okay, as I said last night, I was sposed to get my hair cut today. Well, my dad decided to stay home with mom cuz it's her day off, so, mom rescheduled the appointment for next Tuesday and she and dad hung out today. Well, I spent all day being so excited about getting my hair cut (cuz I've wanted to do so for a few months now), and then mom said we can't do it today cuz we have to be with dad.

Well, ya know, fucking great that we get to spend time with dad, but fuck, I wanted to get my hair cut. And the rents expected me to just get over it right away and be happy. Sometimes, I do that, but I really couldn't today. I was just so looking forward to it. So, I was all depressed and ended up pissing dad off. I didn't care, really.

I got coffee and then we got some Chick-Fil-A and both were delicious. Dad stopped being mad at me, but I was still in a bad mood. And that has not changed all afternoon. I'm still annoyed and kinda hate the world right now. Anywho, back to the story. So, we went to Wal*Mart and checked out the Halloween stuff. I got an eye-patch (part of my costume). Yayz! Then we went to Party City (which is now Halloween USA or whatever it's called). I got a black wig (also part of my costume) and this cool mini!skeleton to hang in my locker. XD

Go ahead, ask me what my costume is. Oh, okay, I'll tell you. It's a colaboration of Stephen Colbert characters. Wig=Raven, eye-patch=Phil Ken Sebben, suit="Stephen Colbert", stethoscope=The Tree Surgeon, cowboy boots and guitar pin=Chuck Noblet. And I need one for Exit 57 (any of the sketches with Stephen). If someone wants to pitch something Exit 57 related, it'd be appreciated! :D But it can't be a shirt or pants, since I'm wearing a suit.

Okay, now that that's done. When we got home, I had to do all the dishes. Mom and dad went to pick up Nick (he went to the cafe after school today) and stopped at the store, methinks. I went into my room and locked the door and blasted the MGS soundtrack. It was nice to relax by myself for a bit. I wish I had more time to myself.

The title of this post is in regard to the Switzerland big bang project thingy that apparently occured today. I didn't find out about it til noon-ish, but I guess what's going on is that scientists are trying to re-create the big bang? I'm not entirely sure, but people in school were hypothesizing that the world would implode during said experiment.

I'm super happy about the fact that the indescribably awesome celli_puzzle posted the next installment of 30 Little Things. I absolutely love that fic (hell, I'm the one that requested it be written, lol). I haven't read it yet, but just knowing it's there is cheering me up a bit. <3 You guys should read it, just so you know. ;]

Um...I think that's it. Bones is on tonight. Twoot. I'm feeling rather bitter. It's time to write, lol. I'm super grateful to jonstewartisgod for making the icon I'm using for this post. It makes me hella smirky.

Hello people!

OMG, today rocked so hard! :D

Mom and I had to get up kinda early (7:00-ish BLECH) to get ready for that dog show thingy we had to go to. I took a shower and packed up my stuff, which took me about ten minutes, lol. Mom, however, took FOREVER to pack her stuff, and she gets really frantic when she thinks she's gonna be late, so she was running around the house yelling at everyone for being in the way. *shakes head*

And the only reason we hadn't packed the night before was cuz we watched "Twister" (bitchin movie), Psych, and Monk. OH! And Gary Cole is gonna guest star on the Psych summer finale next week! I'm SO EXCITED! I frakkin love Gary Cole, lol (he's Bill Lumburgh in "Office Space" and Harvey Birdman!). <3 Oh, and I couldn't believe Eric McCormack was the killer on Monk! It kinda bummed me out, lol; I love EMcM! :D

Moving on. Eventually, we left (at about...9:00). We went to Dayton (where the show was). It took us fifteen, twenty minutes to set up the booth, cuz we had to put up a stupid tent-type-thingy, which is a big fat hassle. Let me tell you something, too; you all know I hate dogs. Well, this event took place at a fenced-off town pool.

So not only were dogs running around leash-less, but they were soaking wet, too. The only thing I hate more than a dog is a sopping wet dog. And some of them jumped on me. Gross. Um, so we left about two hours early (MOOHAHA) and went to Olive Garden for a late lunch/early dinner. It was fantastic, as usual. And we got the usual, lol; chicken fingers, salad, iced tea, and cake for dessert.

We did try the never-ending pasta, though. I got Penne with Asiago Garlic sauce and it was DELICIOUS, and mom got the same sauce, but over Fettucini (sp?). Yeah, it was really good, I definitely recommend the pasta. We packed up everything we didn't eat (which was a good amount of food, lol) and went to check into our hotel. It was wonderful; it was...um...something Suites...Homewood Suites? That doesn't sound right...but anyway, our room was gorgeous, and it overlooked the outdoor pool! :D

We chilled for a bit, unpacked stuff, ya know. I tried to connect to their damn Wi-Fi, but it kept telling me there was an error, so I gave up. We both ended up falling asleep for half an hour or so (which was lovely, lol) and then we got up and headed out to The Greene, which is this really kick-ass outdoor mall (I think I've mentioned it once or twice before...). There's a bookstore there that we really love - Books & Co. - so we went there first.

We got frappucinos and read some books and after an hour or so decided to leave. I got the I Am America (And So Can You!) desk calendar whilst there! *SO HAPPY* Hehe! X] Um, so, yeah, next, we went to Bath and Body Works and got some body wash stuff. Mine were Sea Cotton (it smells clean...I love it, lol) and this one called, "Sleep," which was lavender and vanilla.

Then we kinda just walked around until we reached the movie theater. It's HUGE. They serve real food there (like, you could eat dinner there if you wanted to, lol) and, yeah, it was ginormous. OH! And the seating was really cool; the seats were tall-ish, so that no one's head could block your view, and they were elevated on every level, again, so as not to block teh view, AND they reclined. It was so awesome, lol.

We got some popcorn and a soda and I got some Raisinets (sp?) and we saw Tropic Thunder. OMFG that movie is definitely one of my faves EVER. It was so effing hilarious, and I didn't think mom would like it, but she LOVED it! :D I wanna go see it again. That's where the title of this post came from (as well as the post before this, lol). Oh, and Robert Downey Jr. is a fucking MASTER, dude. I officially love him now, lol. Seriously, if you haven't seen it, go see it. GO NOW!

After that, we went to Caribou Coffee and I got a caramel cooler (yeah, we drank a lot of coffee whilst out, lol). Then we went back to the hotel, ate some Olive Garden left-overs, and watched some TV. We came across a (new?) Brian Regan special on Comedy Central called, "The Epitome of Hyperbole." It was great, of course.

And then we watched "You've Got Mail." And so ended teh day of pure awesomness, lol.

Do You Think You Are More "Kiss Kiss" or "Bang Bang"?

Hello people!

Got up at 11:00 today. Blech. I did the dishes and looked up classes at BGSU (not by choice). Let me tell you, they've got some awesome classes, and thus far, I believe they're the only college I've looked at that has a Pop Culture class, which would be AWESOME. *shrugs*

Let's see...mom and dad went out for most of the day and I spent a few hours online. I also watched the latest episode of Factory. It was pretty funny, especially the blooper-esque take at the very end with Gary (Mitch's character) sponge-bathing Smitty (David's character). QUITE amusing, lol.

I also watched the episode of Law and Order where Stephen (yes, Colbert) was a guest star. He was the killer, of course. Firstly, he was amazing (as expected). And he looked super cute, so, yeah. His hair looked great, too. /fangirling. Secondly, I don't get how people can watch that show. It sucks ass. MAJORLY. Surrsly, the acting is so terrible and...it's just really stupid. I fast-forwarded through half the episode, to be honest.

I wanted to try out Medal of Honor: Frontline today, so I set up the PS2 in my room and got started. The beginning is D-Day, and you're on the beach and have to infiltrate the German forces. I remember how hard it was for my dad and brother when we first got the game. Anywho, I eventually got through it and it's pretty fun.

But, at one point, you are in this building with dug-out cave-esque areas and it's really dark and you can't really see where you're going. I got lost and started spinning around and frantically trying to find where I'm sposed to go, and during that time, I, myself, became over-heated and light-headed. I think I got motion sickness from watching the video game screen spin around so much. *shakes head at self* So I stopped playing and laid down.

Yeah, I've been feeling kinda nauseous today. Guh. Um...you guys prolly don't know that last year, my grandpa was killed in a car "accident" that was definitely not his fault. It's taken a year to get things going towards court, and the guy that did it is saying he's not to blame. Anywho, we got a letter today that said that after getting an oral report from the guy about what happened at the scene, the lawyers believe it plausible they the guy is liable. So, we have to gather up pictures, letters, etc. so the lawyers can figure out what kind of person my grandpa was.

None of us really wanna do this, cuz it's gonna be kinda emotional, but we have to. They asked each of the family members to write down what Grandpa D. meant to us, for character building, ya know. I got mine done already, and my bro's working on his. The big thing here is that my dad is not gonna handle this well at all. He doesn't really get emotional very much, but this is something that upsets him a lot (of course), so it's gonna be hard.

The title of this post is from this interview between Val Kilmer and Robert Downey Jr. on Moviefone: Unscripted for their movie, "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang." I haven't seen the movie yet, but I intend to. Anywho, I spotted the video and thought it would be funny (especially since I've started liking RDjr., now), so I watched it. ZOMG, it's awesome. At one point, they're talking about how foreign reporters asked them, "Do you think you are more 'kiss kiss' or 'bang bang'?" I thought it was funny. X] And, they have amazering chemistry. SO, for your viewing pleasure...

Dudes, did you hear what Robert Novak did? He hit-and-ran a 66-year-old pedestrian in D.C. this morning! The guy is okay, just had minor injuries, but Novak slammed into him and then drove away. Novak said that he didn't see the guy, but witnesses have said that the guy was momentarily splayed across Novak's windsheild before Novak drove off. I'm sorry, but this story made me laugh. What kinda douche would slam into a guy, drive off, then claim he didn't see the guy? At least he got cited, though I think he should've gotten worse.

Hmm...oh! Okay, so "Mitch Rouse" added me on Facebook a couple weeks ago and messaged me saying this: "Miranda - Mitch Rouse here. Someone, told someone, who told someone, who told me - that I should write you and say "hello". So I'm writing you to say hello. - Hope you're well. -- Mitch"

I thought it was funny and cool, so I added him and replied. Then I didn't hear anything from him until today, when he messaged me saying: "Hey Miranda - someone just sent me this link - and since you're such a Colbert fan I thought you might enjoy it. http://picasaweb.google.com/JimScott415/Exit57Photos -- Mitch"

Mitch is super cooly and really nice, so if you guys have Facebook accounts, I suggest adding him. <3 Wife Swap is on tonight, which I'm *super* excited about. I know the show's stupid, but I love it, lol! XD

I wanna make a mood theme, but it looks unbelievably difficult. So, two things: [1] if anyone's willing to answer questions I have, that'd be great! :] and [2] how does one *use* a mood theme? I'm not sure how to do that...
