Hello people!
I got rid of/replaced a TON of icons today (like, twenty!). It feels good. I mean, I feel guilty for taking out the old ones (as I usually do), but putting up new ones ALWAYS makes me happy. Plus, they're AWESOME. XD
We had a 48-minute late start today (we have 'em once a month), but I got up at the regular time; six o'clock. I did my math homework and watched one and a half eps of TDS/TCR (basically, I watched an ep of each, then half an ep of TDS, lol). THEY ROCKED. Though, honestly? I can't remember their content for the life of me! All I can remember is that I really loved them and thought they were hysterical...
*facepalm* OH! I had a dream that my parents were laughing at me about something, and I said, "I'm not fucking kidding!" to my parents and they just laughed harder and I started crying. Why have my dreams lately ended in me crying? *shakes head* THEN, mom and dad called me out to the living room around 7:00 and we watched the first...roughly fifty minutes of the Oscars, which we DVR'd.
OH MAN.
Hugh Jackman was GREAT. He's sexy and has a fantastic singing voice and fuck me, can he move! He's wonderful, lol. And
Josh Brolin looked SO good last night, and
Robert Downey Jr. was adorable...SO MANY good-looking men to stare at! It was nice, lol. And the awards part wasn't too bad, either. The In Memoriam segment made me weep fairly hard. They showed Michael Crichton. *tears*
Wow, okay, anywho, back to the day. Dad drove us to school, less-than-willingly. He really didn't wanna drive us, but, ya know, that's not my problem, lol. Instead of having myth class today, we went to listen to this lady tell stories, which I did last year, so I dunno why I have to listen to her again. I HATE this woman. She comes to us in February (for Black History Month) and tells stories about God and slavery.
It disgusts me and I hate the stupid stories and she does this annoying thing where she says, "Go forth and do as the spirit say do." GUH. I just wanna beat her stupid face in...okay, sorry, lol, most of us don't like this woman and I'm just sick of her. I hated her the first time and the only positive this time is that classes were shortened and she could only tell us three stories, as opposed to, like, six or seven.
Oh, and she said the title of this post. When she said it, I turned to Sarah, who was next to me, and was like, "Seriously? Doesn't that go without saying?" and she started laughing and was like, "Um, I thought so." Yeah, but the stupid woman REPEATED that phrase, like, three times. Like, um, DUH! *rolls eyes*
ANYWHO. I got my first quiz from last week back in math, and I got a 17/20, which, I think, equals to a B- or a C+? Either way, that's fine with me. And I just made simple mistakes and I know what I did wrong, it's not an issue of if I actually learned the stuff, which
was the problem last time. ANYWHO, we also took this really short student survey where they asked if we'd prefer an online textbook. I, of course, said, "YES!"
In AP Gov., we reviewed for the test tomorrow. Meh. I shan't say anything about that. We started watching
The Crucible in AmLit and I LOVE THAT MOVIE, lol. XD It's so kick-ass. And the scene where Abby meets John behind the house and kisses him and then
moves her hand to his crotch is...well, kinda hot, LOL. Even though Winona is kinda ugly (sorry, but it's true). Jen, you've made me like Daniel.
Dewey was absent again in MindCandy, so we did virtually nothing. We had to re-type the poems we'd read and corrected, but that took, like, ten minutes, LOL. Robbins started singing "Rag Doll," which made Shampel play "Dream On" on his computer. That lead Shampel to play a game with us where he plays a song and we name the band/artist and song title. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN.
The first one Shampel played started off really ominous yet barely audible, and people were guessing, "Pink Floyd!" and similar bands. It took me about five seconds to realize what song it was, but I got it and shouted, "Red Rider, Lunatic Fringe!" and Shampel was like, ":O" and Robbins said, "Wow! You really know your music stuff!" and laughed and, yeah. It was just awesome, lol. I LOVE playing that game.
I got, like, half or 2/3 of the songs/artists correct, which was a nice little confidence boost, lol. Dad tests me on bands/songs all the time, so I'm used to playing that game. <3 Dad picked me up and got me some lunch from Burger King. Then we stopped at Best Buy and Circuit City, just for fun, and then we headed home. Mom got home early and we watched the rest of the Oscars. Good stuff.
Hey, if you have a Twitter, you should TOTALLY check out
@TweetContest. They're AWESOME. Basically, they offer prizes every coupla days and at 4:30-ish, stay tuned to them on Twitter and they'll ask a question in regard to the prize, then they'll say something like, "The tenth person with the correct @reply will win today's prize." It's really cool, so
check out their site and
follow them on Twitter!
That's about it, I think. I thought I had something else to say, but I can't, for the life of me, remember what.
Love y'all - Mira/Doc/Kat *meow*
