I Say, Fuck the Man in the Sky!
Hello people!

I was woken up around 8:00 today.

I took a shower right away and got ready to go to work with mom. We left at about 8:40 and stopped at a sandwich shop where mom was gonna place an order for a Lunch-n-Learn she had on Monday (just so they would be prepared) for it. I was hungry, so mom got me a breakfast sandwich and an iced tea. It was pretty yummy, even though I had some funky mustard instead of yellow on it.

We went to today's Lunch-n-Learn and I helped mom bring in the food to the vets cuz there was a lot of it. Then I went back to the car and rocked out to music for about an hour. When mom was done, we headed to an awesome place to get a sandwich, which was quite tasty. We had to get back home so we could use mom's car instead of her work car. We did and went back out at about 3:30 to go to the movie theater in Wilton.

We got there at 4:10 - ten minutes before the movie started. We were gonna get a soda, but the line was so damn long and there were demonic little children running around, screaming in the lobby, so we decided to just go into the movie. We saw a preview for The Box, which sounds AWESOME. I'm excited to see that. Okay, check out the preview. Now tell me: would YOU do it? I think, in the right situation, I would.

Anywho, we went to see The Invention of Lying, which was kickass. It was hilarious and sad, at times, and took a totally different route than I expected. I enjoyed it. I love Ricky Gervais, too, so that made it even better. And Nate Corddry and John Hodgman are in it! :D WHOOT! Title of this post is from the movie. After that, mom and I stopped at Arby's and got a little snack; I got curly fries, she got some potato cheese bites.

DELICIOUS. We also stopped at Auntie Anne's and got some pretzel sticks. Gah, they are so effing fantastic. I love them. We stopped at Yankee Candle first, then Bath&Body Works. I got a candle called, "Sensual Amber," which from a line called "the sexies." MMM. It smells amazing. And I got a Sleep Body Spray. <3 Eventually, we passed by this comic shop, where we found Bender and Fry action figures (Futurama, of course)!

Mom got 'em for Nick, but I told her I want a Bender action figure for Christmas, too, so she said she'd get me one eventually. SCHAWEET! We stopped in at Ruby Tuesday's where we got dessert; I got lava cake and mom just got coffee. YAY. Unfortunately, we had a dumbass, bitchy waiter who was pretty rude to us and got my order wrong. Oh well. We went home after that and watched some TV.

Hell's Kitchen was totally bitchin. I hope Dave wins so bad. I just love him. We also watched The Middle, which is a fantastic show. LOVES. And now I'm watching Monk. I Skype'd with Vicki for half an hour. That was nice. :] Guess what? Her douchebag boyfriend broke up with her - they were practically engaged to be married. I feel so bad for her, but I feel even worse for not being there. :(

But, and this sounds terribly shallow, at least we can be single together, lol.

Come Back Soon! What a Terrible Thing to Say at a Hospital...
Hello people!

This has to be fast, I promised mom I'd be super quick, lol.

Today wasn't as great as we'd hoped it would be. Got up early and rushed around trying to get everything in the car cuz mom hadn't done anything the night before, which she should have. *shakes head* But we headed out around 10:00 and everything was good and mom was relatively calm, compared to how she usually is.

She had an appointment that took an hour and a half-ish, but after that, we checked into our hotel (Homewood Suites...it ROCKS). Our room is, unfortunately, on the first floor, which we're not super comfortable with, but it's a loverly room anyway. We set up our stuff and mom flipped through the channels and found "Music and Lyrics," which I SO wanted to see (prolly cuz Hugh Grant=win). It was somewhat stupid. But still. Fun to watch the end.

At 4:00, we went to The Cheesecake Factory and I got the bombinest club sandwich and the absolute best fries I've ever had ever. They were crisp and salty and freakin delicious, lol. Unfortunately for mom, she didn't like what she got (a pasta dish), but she was able to order something new and she liked that, so that was good. THEN, we went to the book store we love. Guh.

First of all, it was unbelievably crowded. I've never seen it so crowded before! Never! And I hate people, so that was suckish. Second of all, we went to get a frappucino from the cafe (they have particularly good frappucinos there) and guess what? They didn't have ice. They had NO ICE. Because of the power outage...about a week and a half ago. Ya know what I don't get? How do the restaurants have ice, but the cafe doesn't? *facepalm* Oh, AND, they didn't have the new EW. *ANNOYED*

We did get a cool board game about movies that sounds super fun (uh...shit...I don't remember what it's called). So, we left, and decided to go to the movies cuz we were gonna see "Ghost Town." We were about 30 minutes early (there's actually not much to do there...), and we were like, "Oh, tonight blew so far, let's get something yummy here." They have a HUGE, like, restaurant-like set-up in the lobby of the theater.

Oh, wait, before that, mom sent me to get the tickets. "Ghost Town" is PG-13, just so you know. So I go up to the lady and tell her what I want and she's like, "How old are you?" and I said, "17." and she was like, "Do you have an ID?" and I was like, "Um...no...my mom's right over there." So, basically, she didn't believe I was 17. Kinda insulting.

Anywho, there was a Starbucks there. Well, I prefer their cold drinks to their hot ones. They didn't sell cold drinks at this one. *headdesk* There's also a Ben & Jerry's there, so I went up there and waited for, like, ten freaking minutes to get service, and then when someone finally acknowledged that I was there, THREE OTHER PEOPLE came up behind that person and were like, "Have you been served yet?"

Finally, we went to see the movie and GUH, that was the saving grace of the evening. Seriously, you guys, go see "Ghost Town." Ricky Gervais is brilliant, Greg Kinnear is awesome, and it's just a great movie. I loved it. And the title of this post is from the movie. X] And Aasif Mandvi (sp?) is in it! AND AND AND it was filmed in Brooklyn. <3

When the movie let out, we made our way to Bath and Body Works to get some more Sleep stuff cuz it ROCKS. The lady there was a tad rude but whatevski. Then we went back to The Cheesecake Factory to get some...well...cheesecake. We waited for somewhere around ten minutes, which, if you ask me, is a tad ridiculous. But we eventually got the cheesecake and headed back to the hotel and, well, here we are.

I gotta go, mom's annoyed by the tick-tack of the keys as I type, so adios muchachos!

For Celli, My Dear, Cuz You Didn't Get to See It
Hello people!

The absolute best part of the Emmys. SO funny. It doesn't have much of Jon and Stephen in it, but it's hilarious nonetheless and it has Steve, so that's good.

And GAWD, Steve is masterful with the straight-face shit, dude. MASTERFUL.

I Didn't See Any Banana Peels in Your Garbage Last Night...
Hello people!

So, Stephen won for writing, Jon won for series. Their bit was pricelessly un-subtle and Stephen eating? Little is better than that. I believe it was quite a good night for the boys. <3

The "in memoriam" montage made me cry. Tim Russert and Bernie Mac especially. Both deaths really hit me hard, even though neither was all that important to me.

Don Rickles isn't very funny, imo. I don't think he should've won. But whatevski. At least the boys won something. Why do they keep pitting Stephen against these freakishly old legends? It's rigged.

But the whole Gervais/Carell/Jon/Stephen thing was hilarious. Technically, Jon/Stephen weren't really big in it, but ya know, they had a small supporting role. ;]

Overall, fairly good night.
