My Patience Is a Candle That Burns at Both Ends
Hello people!

I slept splendidly last night. I sprayed the Sleep pillow mist stuff on my pillows and I think it helped. GAH, it smells so fucking good. I love it. <3

I got up at about 7:30 and mom and I went to the lobby to get coffee. She got some breakfast but I didn't really want anything from there. We went back to our room and I had the rest of my cheesecake from last night. It was delicious, lol, and a loverly breakfast. ;] I took a shower and when I came out, mom had The Colbert Report on! :D So that was a GREAT way to start the day. We watched two eps; Wednesday's and Thursday's of last week.

That totally brightened the morning. We packed up fairly quickly and went back to The Greene where mom's dog-show-thingy was going on (that's why we went out this weekend, incase I didn't mention that earlier). We set up a joint table with the...um...I forget their name, but they're vets. Or, the woman was, her husband and kids, however, I don't think were, lol. But she was utterly annoying.

There were dogs a'plenty and that drove me insane and had me all paranoid and jumpy. And there was this douchebag who had a lisp and he kept hanging around our booth ALL DAY, even though he had nothing to do with us. Nothing, absolutely nothing. He just sat there with his stupid GIANT dog and yammered on about how amazing his stupid dog was. I wanted to tell him to shut the fuck up, but I didn't, lol.

We bopped into Kay Jewelers cuz mom canNOT stay away from them and she ended up buying a new watch. *rolls eyes* Eventually, the stupid thing ended and we packed up our stuff and decided to get lunch somewhere at The Greene. We stopped at an American Eagle Outfitters cuz our car was parked next to it and there was a GORGEOUS blue and gray checkered shirt that I absolutely loved, but it was 40 fucking dollars, so I couldn't get it.

That's one of the biggest reasons I HATE designer-type places. WTF is a shirt priced so fucking high when you could easily get a cheap knock-off in another store for, what, $12? I mean, I know you're paying for the label but I don't want the fucking label, I want the goddamn shirt! ARGH! *breathes*

Okay, moving on. So, yeah, we left AE Outfitters and decided to go to Panera Bread for lunch. Let me tell you, they have AMAHZING sandwiches. And their frozen coffees are very good, too! I had a Frozen Caramel and it was pure delicious. Ya know those bottled Starbucks drinks? It tasted like that. MMM. <3

Earlier, I got a Joe Muggs Caramel Macchiato (sp?) and it was pretty good. A teeny bit bitter, but good enough for me to drink, lol. Anywho, following lunch, we left The Greene and drove the hour and a half home. I broke down a little in the car cuz this weekend was sposed to be our getaway from bullshit and, instead, it added to the bitch that my life has been as of late. I'm so sick of everything I just wanna move away and leave school and sleep forever.

Yeah, I"m a downer right now, lol. I'm feeling a bit better since I read some REALLY good smutty awesomeness and watched a bit of "O, Brother, Where Art Thou?" on TV with mom. And I sprayed my pillow with the Sleep stuff and breathed it in for a while and that was fun, LOL. I was gonna watch Jon and Stephen, but I just don't have the energy or willingness to laugh right now. I think I'm gonna go to sleep...maybe. Though dad would yell at me.

Tomorrow's Monday and I don't wanna go to school. Surprise, surprise. I'm so done with high school. I was ready to go to college last year, ya know? I feel like I'm being held back and that I should be working at my bachelor's degree NOW instead of a fucking year from now. *headdesk* Feel free to ignore these inane ramblings.

Um...here, laugh a little. This is from Top Gear, which is a British show that KICKS ASS. If you have time, watch the Killing a Toyota one, too (it should be listed on the right where they give you more things to watch). This is from The Onion Network on YouTube. It's a JOKE. Satire. Don't take it seriously. And it's hilarious. Oh, and btw, that's what she said. Gotta love Steve Carell. <3

I made up the title of this post. It's a "self"-quote. I was SUPER impatient for the dog-show thing to end today, and I said the title of teh post to mom and she was like, "Did you just make that up?" and I said, "Yeah..." and she said, "You should use that on your blog." There ya go. I think this song and this song are pretty awesome. Yeah.

For Celli, My Dear, Cuz You Didn't Get to See It
Hello people!

The absolute best part of the Emmys. SO funny. It doesn't have much of Jon and Stephen in it, but it's hilarious nonetheless and it has Steve, so that's good.

And GAWD, Steve is masterful with the straight-face shit, dude. MASTERFUL.

I Didn't See Any Banana Peels in Your Garbage Last Night...
Hello people!

So, Stephen won for writing, Jon won for series. Their bit was pricelessly un-subtle and Stephen eating? Little is better than that. I believe it was quite a good night for the boys. <3

The "in memoriam" montage made me cry. Tim Russert and Bernie Mac especially. Both deaths really hit me hard, even though neither was all that important to me.

Don Rickles isn't very funny, imo. I don't think he should've won. But whatevski. At least the boys won something. Why do they keep pitting Stephen against these freakishly old legends? It's rigged.

But the whole Gervais/Carell/Jon/Stephen thing was hilarious. Technically, Jon/Stephen weren't really big in it, but ya know, they had a small supporting role. ;]

Overall, fairly good night.

I'll Be Older Tomorrow Than I Was Today

Hello people!

I was forced to get up at...8:00-ish, methinks, just cuz my parents wanted me to get up. *headdesk* Though Nick went right back to sleep and they didn't bother to get him up. Grr. So, I folded dad's load of clean laundry for him whilst he was off working. Um...I also made pizza rolls and watched some court shows cuz I haven't watched them in a long time and I missed them, lol.

Mom called and said she'd get home sooner than expected, so when she got home, we headed out to go shopping. I got three pairs of jeans (they're BITCHIN, btw), a few t-shirts, two pairs of shoes, a huge boys' hoodie (me loves those), and a pair of shorts I can sleep in. I don't normally wear shorts, but I *love* wearing, like, shorts and a tank-top to sleep in. They're much more comfortable than pants and a t-shirt. <3

Then we came home and watched Cash Cab, ftw. And during the show, one of the contestants, who looked rather young, didn't know what emoticons were. How does one not know that? *shrugs* That's about it. I started reading Hardball and guh, Chris Matthews=so fucking annoying. I think he thinks WAY too much of himself. I dunno how I'm gonna write this paper. It's just gonna be pretty sucky, lol.

Blossomcup's been making motivational posters and they are HILARIOUS. She urged us to make our own, so I did. It's kinda...well, it's a little gross-ish, lol, if you haven't seen the clip from TCR. It's weird, trust me. So, anywho, now that I've explained a bit, CHECK IT:
http://bighugelabs.com/photos/20820dd040b773b2caab2c633245d1ca/motivator6184352.

Am I the only person that thinks weddings are stupid? I loved my internet wedding - it was so simple and FREE, lol, and awesome. But a real-life wedding sounds WAY too fucking complicated and gross and part of me doesn't even wanna have one just for the excessive expense and stress it's gonna require. Blech. Weddings=lame.

/random. The title of tonight's post is from "Questions I Already Know," a song from Second City that Stephen Colbert and Steve Carell sang together (and maybe with another guy?). It's awesome, I love it. :D

So, tomorrow is the first day of my senior year. I have never been so happy to start a year of school in my entire life. I cannot WAIT to be done with high school! It blows, surrsly. But anyway, I get out sometime between noon and one, depending on which lunch I have (there are four different lunches possible, and you don't pick the one you get), but mom can't get me until 2:30 PM (I think I said that already...).

Mom gave me money to buy lunch at school, and then I'm gonna walk to NewGrounds (a local cafe) and see about getting some coffee, lol. And I'll do some homework (perhaps ALL my homework) whilst there, and then mom'll pick me up there and that concludes the awesomeness that is tomorrow. The only thing I'm worried about is, obviously, AP Gov. Oh, and getting to all my classes on time. Two of them are far away from the others, AND my locker, so that's gonna be rather difficult, especially without knowing what lunch I have.

Me=done.

When God Closes a Door, He Kicks You in the Balls
Hello people!

Today is Meme Day! I'd like to thank everyone that participated! YOU GUYS ROCK! It's gonna be an annual event, so I'm hoping to gain interest in it throughout the year. And next year, I'll make sure the memes aren't so freakishly long, lol. XD It has gone well thus far. It sucks staying awake, lol, but it's worth it.

Nick and I hung out in his room from 10:00 PM-4:00AM last night. We played Tomb Raider II and watched a bunch of episodes of Aqua Teen Hunger Force. I still think that show is unbelievably retarded, but I find it somewhat more amusing than I did before. Um...Nick fell asleep at 4:00 (even though he constantly stays up til 6:00 in the morning, but whatevs), so I went to my room and chilled.

That's really about all I did today. Mom and dad have been great about letting me do my moderating of Meme Day and they've been asking me how everything's going. I'm exhausted, so I cannot wait for midnight, lol. I'm gonna take a shower and sleep til noon. XD

Kay, tonight's title is utter silliness. As of late, I keep hearing people say in TV shows and movies "When God closes a door, he opens a window." I've heard that saying before, of course, but jeez, I've been hearing it all the time lately! It's weird. So I tweaked it a bit and used it. X]

Nick and I watched some Cheers today, which is an okay show except that I hate Diane so much. I wish someone would kill her already, she's so annoying. I'm glad she leaves the show eventually, I just can't believe she lasted as long as she did. Anywho, we also played some more Tomb Raider II and pretty much hung out. It was fun! He's cool to chill with when he's in a good mood, lol.

Hmm...oh, I've done everything I (and edgarallen <3) can think of about my web-cam, and nothing seems to help. *headdesk* I think I might wanna call customer service (though I know I'll get someone foreign and that wouldn't be a problem, but I can barely understand people over the phone, especially people who don't speak English too well, so it wouldn't really be helpful to me). Maybe I'll email someone instead.

IT'S STEVE CARELL'S BIRTHDAY! And it's ALSO ishy-squishy's birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE BOTH OF YA! <333 You may recall, last night I mentioned one of the Tomb Raider songs that I love *so much*. Well, I downloaded it and wanted to post it incase anyone else would like to hear it. It's called "Venice Violins" and it's wonderful. You'd have to download it from sendspace, but it's worth it [[http://www.sendspace.com/file/f3jvtl]].

Guh. I have to start school on Tuesday. I really don't want to. TWO DAYS. Blech!

We Will Give You Some Sort of Gift-Basket, I'm Sure

Hello people!

I'm so tired, lol. I had to get up at 8:30 this morning cuz there was a volunteering orientation meeting at 10:00 at the Humane Society, and I wanted to go. So, mom and I got ready and headed out. We were about two minutes late, but it was okay, they hadn't started yet, and we weren't last. The orientation was fairly dull, but I got to sign up for what I wanted, so, goal reached. XD

After that, we got some coffee. Then, we were both really hungry and decided to go to Chick-Fil-A. Instead of getting a couple 12-piece orders, we chose to get a 64-piece platter to bring home so mom, Nick, and I could have lunch. ZOMG, it was so good. I swear, Chick-Fil-A has the absolute best chicken EVER. <3

Mom actually had a little vet show thing to go to. Here's the thing; people who work for businesses related to pets in some direct way - an adoption center, a pet-food sales-person, an Invisible Fence employee (mom, lol) - come to a vet building and basically, advertise. Mom set up a small table with some brochures and we basically just chilled. There were some adorable little kittens there for adoption, but they were in a cage and we were allowed to hold them if we wanted to, so I snuggled all of them, seperately, and they were so sweet.

Let's see...after that, we pretty much just came home and chilled. I wanted to go to sleep, but guh, for some reason, no matter how dark I make my room, I can't sleep during the day. Only when I'm sick, can I sleep during the day. So I lazed about and watched last night's Monk, Lewis Black's Root of All Evil, and then a mini-marathon of Forensic Files was on TruTV, so I watched that. It actually kinda freaked me out. It's that damn ominous music and the voice-over guy.

Okay, after watching The Birdcage yesterday, I wanted to see if Nathan Lane had been interviewed on The Daily Show prior to his 2008 interview, which I'd seen already. So I went to TheDailyShow.com and searched "Nathan Lane" and found one from 2006. Let me tell you, it's freaking hilarious. I *love* this interview so much, lol. It's where the title of this post came from. Jon said it to Nathan. If you wanna watch the interview (DO IT), here ya go.

Thank you to zeitgeist_10 for telling me where to go to get the Stephen Colbert/Steve Carell/Anne Hatheway interview in the Apple Store on iTunes. I never got to hear it and I'm SUPER grateful, cuz HAHA, it's so funny. If I could steal it and download it to sendspace, I would, but I'm not sure how - I've never used iTunes before. *shrugs*

Blech, it feels like Friday, but it's not, so none of my shows are on, but I feel like they should be.

You Wanna Sing a Song? Sure...Right Now? Sure...

Hello people!

Well, about two-ish hours after we got back to the booth from the cafe, it started pouring down rain. And the wind was blowing the rain all over the place. So, all the fest-goers went home. I would guess about half of the vendors went home, too.

It took us (my rents and myself) about 40 minutes to decide if we should go home or not. When the rain didn't let up, we figured we might as well. No one's going back there tonight, it was pointless to stay.

So we're home now! :D I just took a shower and I *finally* feel clean after trudging through the mud in Powell. I'm just gonna chill. I actually might go to bed soon-ish cuz I'm really tired. So, yeah, just thought I'd let you guys know!

Real quick, the title of this post is from a vid of Stephen Colbert and Steve Carell at the Apple Store, singing the National Anthem together. They're the cutiest, I swear. Well, along with Jon, of course. Here's the vid, which can also be found at NoFactZone.

He Left Us...What a Douche

Hello people!

Oh, hey, just so ya know, I updated this meme post from a teeny bit back cuz mgbutterfly added on to it. So go read it! And comment! And stuff! :D

Anywho, today was pretty good! Mom got home from work early and suggested we go see Get Smart, so we did! YAY! And OMG, GET SMART was amazing. I loved it. LOVED IT. I wanna go see it again. Surrsly, if you're contemplating seeing it, go see it. It's really fantastic. AND NOW...

After that, my rents and I went to the store to get some groceries cuz, apparently, we were cleaned out. I saw Bosco (friend, actual name: Cory) there (working), and we chatted shortly. It was nice, I miss seeing my friends and I hardly ever see Bosco anymore. Plus, he dubbed me Gimly, and I think that's one of the awesomestly dorky/cooly nicknames I've ever been given.

Once home, I watched more Harvey Birdman, cuz, come on, I can't get enough of this damn show. In the one where Harvey beat that stupid little dog whose name I can't remember, I felt really bad for X the Eliminator. He desperately wanted Harvey's approval, and it was adorkably queer. In the best way, lol. I don't normally like X, but he was great in this one. And Phil said, "Ha! Ha! Ha! Noses on dowels." You, uh...you'd have to watch the show to get that, lol. By the way, VOTE PHIL KEN SEBBEN! He's running for President and has 12 billion dollars. And has taken drugs.

Okay, Adam and I were sposed to go see The Love Guru tomorrow, but, as it turns out, he has to go with his parents to his grandma's all day. SO, I'm trying to work out another day we can go cuz I *really* wanna see The Love Guru but there's no way in Hell I'm going by myself. That's just made of fail.

Um...that's it. Take us out, Johnny! *music*

...But You're Still Pretty Much Dead

Hello people!

HA to my parents, I slept in today. Til about 10:30. Mwahaha!

I had to clean the bathroom, which sucked, but s'okay, cuz this is the first time ever that mom has come home and given us compliments on our cleaning of the bathroom, rather than saying we need to do something again. *YAY*

Really, not much happened today. I spent most of my day online. On here. Hence my icon, which I made mah-self. It was crazy fun! I posted that Supernatural fic (and cross-posted it in "wincest" and "sn_slash") and got lotsa comments on it, which made me supre happy! :D I also talked to lotsa people on LJ, and it was just really supre fun and awesome and I had a pretty great day.

The title of this post is from Sphinx. Bas-Ket (a basket...stupid, I know) says it. See, there's a character that dies and becomes a mummy. As Sphinx, you have to collect Canopic Jars, which contain a part of the mummy's soul. You give the jars to Bas-Ket, who can transport to the mummy. He gives the jars to the mummy, who comes back to life temporarily. As Bas-Ket explains this to the mummy, he says something along the lines of, "These jars will allow you to do things for a certain amount of time...but you're still pretty much dead." I dunno why, but it struck me as hilarious.

I think I'll write some more tonight. I really feel like it and after the success I had last night (when, really, I wrote it in twenty minutes at, like, 2:00 in the morning), I'm quite motivated to write! :D

Gah! My email, for some reason, isn't working at all. My parents' emails aren't working either. We don't know why, but it's just not working, and it's really annoying me, cuz I am notified, via email, about everything that has anything to do with me or my flist on LJ! So, I have to keep refreshing stuff and clicking through some posts to see if I've gotten any responses and we have no idea what's wrong with our emails. Grr.

Kay, you know how I have three blogs, including this one? Well, my Wordpress blog has gotten 209 views on ONE POST in the past three days. Is that crazy or what?! It's the one called, "That, Rude, Is a Chocolate Squirrelador," I think cuz people are trying to find the clip of that, which is not really available online. The guy that pitched that bit (Dan Cummins), though, has a MySpace page. So here it is.

The Tim Russert memorial/funeral broadcast was on MSNBC today. I didn't get to catch it, actually, cuz my parents had me do some chores and hang out with them (and, apparently, my sadness over Russert's death began to annoy them *rolls eyes*), but I am calling for a quick moment of silence here. *silent...*

Steve Carell was on Larry King Live last night! :D YAY! Thus far, it's funny. We don't get to watch it yet (recorded) actually, cuz we're gonna watch WifeSwap, but we'll FOR SURE watch it later, and I'm stoked for it. <3 Steve. He's amazering. Really really awesome.

Other than that, really, surrsly, not much goin' on today. I'm gonna write and watch some Harvey Birdman - I've decided I'll just watch it when I can - and just chill. Hopefully, there'll be more goin' on tomorrow, lol!

Dream a Little Dream of Pictures of You and Me Together

Hello people!

Yeah, I don't get the title of this post. It doesn't make sense, lol. Just...random stupidity, ya know. The norm.

Anywho, time for the joint dreams/pics post! :D I know you're excited. I couldn't upload on Flickr, which pissed me off a little cuz that's one of the best pic sites I've ever used. But Webshots allowed me to upload everything without a problem, so that's what I did.

Here's the album. There are no captions under the pics cuz, well, I just spent an hour uploading 135 pics, I'm not putting all the captions up right now, LOL. I will say that a good amount of them have quotation marks in them (for The Blog of Unnecessary Quotation Marks, which I've become obsessed with everytime I go somewhere).

Also, there's a pic in the middle of some scenery shots from our Lighthouse Lovers Cruise (the last, like, 40 or 50 pics in the album) of shoes. Well, no, of a guy's shoes, which are on his feet. I think they were cowboy boots, which is why I took a pic. I was gonna make the caption be, "Possible cowboy boot sighting?" just to be random, cuz, ya know.

There's a pic of "Cuddy's," which I had to get (even though I *hate* Cuddy), cuz, c'mon, House reference! And, one of the paintings in our vacation house was signed by a Robert Chase. How CRAZY is that? Very, if you ask me.

Okay, and now, the dreamage.

That's about it...if you have any comments on a picture, I guess you could post it on Webshots, but I don't go there much, so I might not read it...but I'll try, lol! :]

...Was That Extensively Boring Enough?
Hello people!

Ahh, fenellaevangela was 100% correct about "Dan in Real Life." It was great, of course. Steve Carell, John Mahoney, Dane Cook. How could it NOT be good? But it was very sad. Funny at points, but yeah, sad. Glad it ended well, though. But yeah, I almost cried a couple times (the only reason I didn't is cuz I'm with my parents and I *hate* it when they see me cry cuz of a movie or something). I recommend it, but only if you're into being somewhat depressed, lol.

I've been watching The Daily Show and The Colbert Report most of the day, and I kinda wanna go back to watching it - I need the cheering up, lol. See, my parents made me stop watching TDS/TCR cuz they were tired of my laughter (that's a strange thing, isn't it?), and that's when we watched "Dan in Real Life." So now I wanna watch my shows again, but I can't, cuz I have to do my homework, lol.

"If "if"s and "but"s were candy and nuts, we'd already be bombing Iran." <-- a line from one of the eps of The Colbert Report two weeks back. But such a great line, very SWC, if ya know what I mean. He even did that Jerri snap, though I assume it's not exclusively a Jerri thing, LOL. But SWC's the only place I've seen it.

I think it'd be cool to be an advice columnist. I like giving people advice, and I think I give relatively okay advice. There are so many things I think it would be awesome to have as a career, and yet, I can't do them all, lol. Life is way too freaking short, man. Way too short.

Okay! Tomorrow is the photoshoot for Presidential Classroom, and, as far as I know, we will be doin it in German class. I have an awesome, nice, new shirt to wear, but it goes well with jeans, which is great, cuz I don't wanna come off as seeming like I always dress really dressy and whatnot.

I had a dream that my parents were going on vacation somewhere for a week, and then my bro and I were gonna join them at the end of the week. But we had packed our suitcases already and gave them to our parents to take with them so they'd be there when we got there. I had packed my jeans in the suitcase and my parents had already left, but I started to freak out that I didn't have my jeans. Like, I had a freaking meltdown cuz I didn't have my jeans. How weird is that?

I also dreamt that I was on, like, Facebook or something and I wanted to send a sexually-themed poke-type thing like on Facebook to flirt with my crush, and when I hit send, my friend replied back to me and was like, "Why'd you send me that?" and I was like, "What do you mean?" and she said, "Why'd you send me that sex thing?" and I said, "I didn't...I sent it to ****." and she said, "Um, no...it says that you sent it to all of your friends."

So I was freaking out and I saw that it got sent to, like, 31 of my girl friends and 72 of my guy friends, so I was messaging EVERYONE to tell them I was so sorry for the sex thing, and I had to send the messages each individually. So, yeah, I was really freaking out. And then I woke up.

Ya know, I never thought Steve Carell was all that good-looking, but he really kinda is. I mean, he's got a honker of a nose just like James Roday, but he's really cute. And he's hilarious. XD Moving on...

I think that my mom subconsciously...I dunno, maybe consciously...keeps saying things that I find kind of inconsiderate. She - especially lately - has been saying a lot more God-esque things. Like, she was watching this show on the human body, and she was like, "Wow, that's amazing how the human body works. How can people not believe in God?" I mean, firstly, kinda random, right? Secondly, I'm right fucking here, and she just doesn't even care. I said, "Science" in response to her stupid rhetorical question, and she ignored me. I dunno, it just seems inconsiderate to me...and I kinda think she does it intentionally.

Well, I had a lot of homework this weekend, and of course, I've done none of it. So I should get to that. I'll leave you with a clip from one of The Colbert Reports I watched today, which, I think, was hilarious. The link will take you to a page that contains clips from the episode. Scroll down and watch the clip titled, "Howard Dean" and then the clip titled, "To Howard Dean":
