Hello people!
Today was pretty good! :D I'm feeling better, thankfully. YAY medicine, even though it tastes like shit!
I slept til noon today. It was wonderful. Sleep is so fantastic. *happy sigh* I did have weird dreams, though. One was that our house flooded and we had to leave with our uncle (who I hated, in the dream) and we had to leave everything behind and I couldn't stop crying.
Another was that Nick and I were going to this house that I've dreamed about before but doesn't exist in reality. We were packing all this junk food to bring with us so we could have a super awesome day of fun. And we were gonna go swimming at this house cuz, apparently, there was a ginormous pool there. It was strange. But cooly. X]
Moving on. I watched the Monk finale from last night and it was quite amusing, lol. I never woulda guessed the ending, I think it was a pretty good case. And then I watched Root of All Evil from last week (Disney V. Scientology). Disney was declared the Root of All Evil (wow, shocker). During that time, I also checked everything online, though there wasn't much going on, so that's good. I didn't have to catch up too much.
I made some of the dip we bought yesterday (garlic dip!) and it is DELICIOUS. I love it! XD Mom and I ate a bunch of it today. We're gonna buy a few more packs of it tomorrow, at the show. So, then, we left for the show at around...1:30, 2:00. We didn't have to be there til 4:30, but we chose to leave kinda early.
We stopped at Wal*Mart to get some candy for the table at the show. I convinced mom to get us some candy for ourselves and we got a bag of KitKats and a bag of Snickers. We headed to the show and got there at about 3:30. At 4:00, Vern Yip was sposed to be at the stage to talk and stuff. I went over there at 3:56 and found it PACKED. I gotta admit, I really didn't think there would be THAT many people there. So I had to stand. *shrugs* No biggie.
I hope no one takes offense to the title of this post, lol. It's something Vern said during his presentation. He was funny and nice and cool and awesome. X] After a half hour presentation, he went over to a booth on the other side of the warehouse to do autographs. I got in line (which was kinda long-ish) and was given a photo and asked what name I'd like written on the pic. I said, "Miranda, Helena, and Eric." The latter are my parents.
I read a little Terminal Man whilst waiting in line, but only a page or two. When I finally got up to Vern, he was very nice. But I was freakishly nervous. I love/hate meeting famous people. I always get so nervous and my hands were shaking and my cheeks were red. *shakes head*
So, anywho, Vern said hi and I replied hello and I was like, "I'm Miranda. This is for me and my parents." and he was like, "Oh, that's nice of you!" Then it was quiet for a second and he said, "Are you having fun?" and I said, "Yeah, well, I'm running a booth with my mom - Invisible Fence." and he was like, "Oh, that's cool. But you are having fun, right?" and I said, "Yeah. It's pretty busy today." and he said, "That's good, though." and I nodded.
For some reason, I decided to pitch to him. I dunno why. I'm stupid, I guess. I asked how he keeps his dogs safe (cuz he has four of them) and he said they have a regular fence and I was like, "Ahh, well at least you keep them safe." and he said yeah and these BITCHY people running the autograph thing gave me the hand-motion to finish up. I wanted to tell them to fuck off, but, of course, I didn't. I got a pic of Vern real quick, thanked him, and left.
Mom and I had lotsa fun together. We always do. We were laughing like crazy and ate some candy and yeah, it was fun. I actually fell asleep for a few minutes, lol, cuz I was really sleepy. Everyone left at around...6:00 to get home in time for the Buckeye game that was on tonight. Half the vendors left, too.
I mean, it was EMPTY. And the thing wasn't sposed to end until 8:00 (they actually closed it an hour earlier than usual for the game - it usually ends at 9:00). We left at, like, 6:30, lol, and decided we didn't wanna go home yet, so we went to this adorable little Barnes & Noble that I've never been to before! :D
We got delicious coffee and grabbed, like, fifteen books (like we always do). We stayed there for a few hours, until they closed at 9:00 (LOL, kinda early, if you ask me) and it was so much fun. I got a new notebook and a College Board book that helps with writing college application essays, which is obviously helpful to me. I checked out this cooly horoscope book and it was amahzingly accurate. I love stuff like that.
We blasted music on the way home and stopped into Blockbuster real quick to see if they had any good movies out. We got Death at a Funeral, cuz Jen played it for me and I loved it and told mom she should see it. We also got...um...well, two movies that were lovey movies that I have no interest in, so, yeah. I saw that The Love Guru comes out on the 23rd, and I'm SO BUYING IT the second it comes out. XD YAY STEPHEN!
We watched one of the movies we rented tonight that I don't recall the name of with Rachel McAdams and Pierce Brosnan in it. It's kinda stupid, but I quite envy Rachel. She got to dance with and be the love interest of Pierce Brosnan, who will never be ugly no matter how old he gets. *shakes head* She's one lucky gal (not to mention, she's freaking gorgeous).
PICTURES FROM TODAY: Vern speaks. Vern speaks again. Still speaking. Vern with some random lady. VERN! A pic of me mom wanted to take to show Cindy what I look like now. Starbucks Coffee sign. My ring (I used the Macro setting for the first time ever, lol, it's awesome). Vern's autograph. More clear autograph pic.
Um, I think that's it. Sorry for the lateness of this post. We didn't get home til 10:00 tonight. Me=exhausted.
Love y'all - Mira/Doc/Kat *meow*
P.S. It's official:I'm amazing I'm getting rid of the picspam challenges. I am, however, going to do special themed ones (like for Halloween or Christmas or whatever).
