Your Mother's a Nice Lady
Hello people!

It was really weird getting up without teh rents in the house. Very quiet. I hate quiet. I went out to the living room and turned on the TV and decided to hop online, which I don't normally do, but why not, right? No reason not to. I got Nick up and it wasn't hard at all. It's usually damn near impossible to get him up, but yeah, it only took one try.

We had a wonderful morning. Very calm, no yelling, just chillin, watchin the news and hanging online. It was really nice. Okay, school. Photo was kinda cool. I developed my pictures and they're a little dark (I took 'em on a day of overcast), but they came out well enough, which is GREAT, lol, considering I wasted three rolls on them. We got that quiz back in math and I got a B. Good enough for me! XD

We talked more about public opinion/public policy in AP Gov. We have a test on Monday. *worried* I think I'll do okay, though, cuz I really get this chapter. It interests me. We had a test in forensics, but it was SUPER easy and we almost got all of it finished. By "we", I mean my partner and myself. We always have partner tests, which RULES. So, yeah, it was pretty easy. Whoot.

In MindCandy, Mrs. Dewey showed me what I have to do for my zine to set it up properly. Did I tell you guys what I'm doing? I'm making my zine in the layout of a blog. So each poem I put in will be like a blog entry. And I'm using this as a template! Awesome, no? :D I'm stoked bout it, really. The only problem is I took some screencaps of my blog, but I've got, like, PORN and SEX as tags and FUCK mixed in all over the place. *headdesk* It'll be embarassing, lol...*shrugs*

I grabbed some fries that were kinda mushy and gross for lunch and then Chris gave me a ride home. It just so happens that he was giving another girl a ride home, who is a good friend of his girlfriend (who is always with us when he gives me a ride home). She (the other girl) was SO ANNOYING. She did her make-up the entire car-ride, which just inherently annoys me. Then, she started talking about how she's gonna marry her boyfriend in the future. I almost laughed.

Also? She OBVIOUSLY didn't know the meaning of "scrawny." She kept saying, "I want a guy who's way bigger than me, so, yeah, I like scrawny guys." I kept thinking, "Um...doesn't 'scrawny' mean thin? Skinny? Stick-like?" But I didn't say anything. I pretty much chilled when I got home. Watched TV, got online, etc. I put away some clean dishes and let the dog out and then when Nick got home, I made him some coffee while he took the trash out.

We played some more CB: Tag Team Racing and it was quite fun! OMF, I kept laughing, though, cuz: [a] Cortex is unbelievably gay. I can't explain why, but some of the things he says are, like, blatantly gay (why can't I explain? I can't remember what he says, LOL), and [b] he also makes at least two Rocky Horror references: "it was a mercy killing", and "I almost have enough to buy a pearl necklace" [paraphrased]. The reference in the latter in the pearl necklace, of course. That made me squee a bit, lol.

Something that definitely DIDN'T make me squee is the fact that Twitter has (temporarily) shut down deleting updates so that their fixing shit can go faster. That was FOURTEEN HOURS AGO and everything's STILL not fixed. *annoyed* Speaking of Twitter, that post here that's titled, "What Are You Twittering? ...Tweets..." is gonna be a regular thing. All my Tweets will now be transported in for y'all to read. WHOOT.

Nick went out of the neighborhood to pick up some snackage from a convenience store. He got me some chips and gum, which I'm currently eating. YUM. Now I'm watching Jeopardy. DUDES! NaNoWriMo totally got a shout-out! :DDD WIN! One of the contestants mentioned that she participates in it. SO COOL. And OMF SUPERNATURAL WAS ONE OF THE ANSWERS QUESTIONS! YES! <333

The video you're about to see made me cry (of anger). The douches over at Douche & Friends (no offense, Stephen) are UTTER DOUCHES. Their huge, assholish, douchebaggery, let me show you it. Oh, damn it. The video doesn't seem to be working. Here, go here to see it. You all should def watch it, it's ridiculous. Also, this makes me silly and such, LOL.

Oh, speaking of douches: A South Carolina Roman Catholic priest has told his parishioners that they should refrain from receiving Holy Communion if they voted for Barack Obama because the Democratic president-elect supports abortion, and supporting him "constitutes material cooperation with intrinsic evil." (from Associated Press). Stephen's a Roman Catholic AND from South Carolina. I wonder what he thinks of this...

Title of this post is from Cash Cab. This woman missed one of the questions and sounded like she was about to swear, but instead she said, "Your mother's a nice lady." and I think Ben said, "Yes, she is." ...but I'm not sure, lol. I just think that's funny. *shrugs*

Okay, well...there's a LOT on tonight. Ugly Betty, Supernatural, LA Ink (which I *might* watch). YAY TV.

Love y'all - Mira/Doc/Kat *meow*

If They Know Your Father, They'll Think Nothing Of It
Hello people!

Gah. More vivid dreams. And guess what? I used that sleep spray again. It's trippy, lol. I dreamt that someone was coming over to the house, but I dunno who. Mom was washing the dishes and she said, "You should do something with your hair, already!" So I grabbed a pair of scissors and cut, like, eight inches off the back of my hair and was like, "Kay, I did something."

Then I spent about fifteen minutes trying to make it straight and perfect and I woke up. I fell back asleep almost immediately and dreamt that I was in a toy store with my class and the store had all these awesome little toys for really cheap prices. But they weren't, like, shitty toys. They were really cool. I can't remember them right now, but yeah. And I was worried that I wouldn't have enough money to buy everything. And then my alarm went off.

Now, all day, I've been wondering what I'd look like if I cut my hair like I did in my dream. Would it look horrid? Or would it turn out kinda cool like my hair is now? I just don't know, lol. Moving on. Photo was decent. Thankfully, my teacher understood the difficulty I'm having with my film, so she's cool with me trying again this weekend even though the pics were due Thursday. She pretty much rocks.

Math was cool; we're not doing anything new, so we keep doing our homework in class, which rocks, lol. I read some more of No Plot? No Problem! and it's making me think that maybe I should stop NaNoWriMo this time around because really? I wasn't prepared AT ALL. I signed up the FIRST DAY and I've never done it before, so, I'm thinking maybe I should "quit" this time around and wait for next year...I'll keep writing, but I don't think I'm gonna actually "participate", ya know? I won't aim for 50k this month. *shrugs*

We did current events in AP Gov., which was awesome cuz we talked about Palin and gay rights and Elliot Spitzer and the election and it just fucking rocked, lol. I LOVE current events. X] Then we talked about public opinion regarding gay rights, uh...and two other topics I can't remember, atm. My epic fail of a memory, let me show you it. We did a lab in forensics, but I kinda just copied my partner cuz I'm lazy like that, lol.

It was nice to be in MindCandy again. Haven't been there for, what...two days? Yeah, two days. I love that class beyond words, lol. Everyone in there is so awesome. We blew off work (as usual) and just chatted and such. A kid in that class showed us this hilarious site called Barack Obama Eats Babies. Go to it before you pass judgement on it, lol, trust me, it's pretty furcking funny. <3

Mom and I went to donate blood cuz they had a blood drive at school today. The only problem is that they were incredibly (surprisingly, actually) crowded. I was told that few people signed up this year, and then suddenly, I guess, a rush of people signed up last minute. *shrugs* So, yeah, a whole fiasco ensued cuz mom had a 2:00 appointment and by the time we were up we only had half an hour.

As it turns out, mom's iron was way low (10.5), so she couldn't donate. I was on the line for both iron (12.5) and heart rate (100), so I could donate. It always makes me nervous, but whatevs, I gave anyway. I was *this* close to passing out again, LOL, but it passed before I stood up, so I was okay. And I gave however much they collect (a pint?) in seven minutes, which, apparently, is really fast, lol. So whoot! X]

We left to mom's appointment and I sat in the car and listened to music. At 3:30, we went to pick dad up from work and then stopped to get some coffee on the way home. DELICIOUS. Yay for coffee! OOH! And it rained today! There's nothing better than rain and coffee. There was a little package waiting for me when I got home and it was from the loverly violetlemon47, who sent me a cute little popper and a postcard! THANKS SUGAH! <3

And now, an adorable video where Stephen mentions Twitter (btw, HE FUCKING HAS ONE: stephenathome).

What are you Twittering? ...Tweets... )

Methinks that's about it. Um...oh, right. IT'S FRIDAY!!! *does happy dance* XD This was an astonishingly long week. Thank Frank it's over! Wife Swap is on tonight. I need my stupid TV shows every now and then, lol. I'm gonna try to catch up on TDS/TCR this weekend CUZ I SUCK, and I'm thinking maybe I'll watch some SWC cuz it's been a while and I love SWC (and I heard, "Carry On My Wayward Son" today).

Title of this post is from Christmas Vacation! I LOVE THAT MOVIE SO MUCH. It's definitely one of my faves of all time, lol. Speaking of Christmas, I compiled my Christmas/Birthday list last night (my birthday's three days after Christmas). It's not too shabby, if I do say so myself. There's only...three-ish things that are fairly expensive, but yeah. Here, I'm gonna post it under a cut just cuz I feel like it, lol.

Christmas/Birthday List (all items are on Amazon) )

I'm Vetoing...Are You Fucking Serious?
Hello people!

*deep breath* GUYS HOLY FUCK MONKEYS GUYS! IT'S FUCKING ELECTION DAY!!!

I swear, after today, I'll stop with the excessive swearing and shouting, lol. ;D But for the time being, WHOOOT! Fucking Election Day! <3 I'm STOKED for Indecision 2008! Jon and Stephen are fucking adorable, of course, and to prove it, CHECK IT BELOW.

Stephen, we're not doing a debate... )

I slept awful last night, lol. I think I was too excited about today to actually sleep well. I got up right when my alarm went off cuz my rents were going to leave right then to go vote. So I got up and dressed right quick and was out in the living room in, like, three minutes. That's fast for me. X]

Mom and dad left pretty much immediately. Usually, Nick doesn't get up when we tell him to - he's a ridiculously sound sleeper - but, today, dad went to get him up once before they left and then five minutes later, Nick was up. I was stunned and pleased, cuz I didn't wanna try to get him up, lol.

We chilled and watched the news til 7:00, which is when we typically leave, but then mom and dad got home RIGHT then and told us (quickly) about their voting experience, lol. The place they went to was doing the voting alphabetically, and apparently, no one was there that had a last name that went before "Doerfler." So mom and dad were able to go right away! WIN!

Okay, so, I took some pics for photo cuz we have an assignment due Thursday. I did two rolls, but I kinda fucked both of them up. One of them got stuck when I was re-winding it (yes, I use an old camera, we have to, lol) and being the idiot that I am, I forced it and it ripped in half. Turns out it never even wound properly and I didn't get any pics on the roll. *headdesk*

The other roll, it didn't seem like it was winding so I popped the back open to see cuz I thought it was done winding, and as it turned out, the film was NOT done winding and I was in a rather bright area and I prolly over-exposed the film. Yeah, I kinda suck, LOL. So that's TWO rolls of film down the drain. Blahhh.

Thankfully, I had all my math homework done, so after developing my first failed roll of film, I sat down to write. I ended up not writing a single thing and, instead, contemplated doing so, lol. *shakes head* I read some of that "No Plot? No Problem!" book and Chris Baty, the guy who started NaNoWriMo, said to start a new novel, not write for one you already started (which is what I was gonna do). So now I have to start over. And I'm at 0 words.

We didn't really do anything in math and I got most of my homework done, so whoot. We got new seats assigned, but I like where I am, so s'all good. We watched School House Rock and the SNL Presidential Bash from last night in AP Gov., though we only saw about the first fifteen-twenty minutes of the SNL special. Class ended at the start of Will Ferrel's Bush "I Endorse McCain" sketch, which I LOVE, so I was bummed I didn't get to watch that. Oh, well.

We convinced Mrs. Culley to let us watch a Forensic Files today, and it was finally one I haven't seen! And it was SO INTERESTING! :D It's a long story, but this crazy-ass doctor guy cut open his own left arm, inserted a pint of one of his patient's blood (in a plastic bag container) into his arm, then put a plastic tube leading from the bag to the part of his arm where blood is usually drawn for testing and such.

He was accused of rape and the accusor had a DNA sample and wanted the good doctor's blood to match the DNA. Well, guess what? He willingly gave THREE blood samples from his left arm, which was the patient's blood. So the DNA never matched. Eventually, they were able to get a blood sample from his finger, not his arm, and it matched, so he got sent to prison (6 years, no parole). Kinda psychotic but yeah, crazy interesting, lol.

We had a sub in MindCandy, so we did what we always do; chilled and chatted. I love that class. Except for Annoying Kid. I HATE HIM. I want to punch his stupid fat ugly face. Except not, cuz then I'd get Annoying Kid germs on my hand. BLECH. But, yeah, we had fun today, just laughing and laughing. And our sub was like, "Are you guys sposed to be working?" We explained to him that we're like that every day and we hardly ever work. X]

People did annoy me a bit today cuz I heard a few people shouting their support for McCain in school. And this guy in forensics who I knew last year is an avid McCain supporter, which annoys me to no end. He kept saying, "Oh, you know, McCain's gonna win." or "I hate uninformed voters cuz they say stuff like, 'I hate McCain cuz he's old so I'm voting for Obama.'" That bugged me most cuz being uninformed has nothing to do with supporting Obama.

And another guy in forensics shouted, "Obama sucks!" And blah, blah blah. I hate my conservative surroundings. Stupid fucking dumbass people. And they're the ones who scare me the most cuz you never know what'll happen with the election while THEY'RE out there being jackasses. *shakes head*

Mom picked me up and we went home and I was going to watch the TDS/TCR-athon, but mom wanted to hang with me and it's ridiculously difficult for me to say no to mom, so we went to her room and laid down and talked for a bit. We wound up falling asleep and I slept for two hours. It was nice. Sleep is GOOD.

We got up to get dad from work, then stopped to get pizza, and I forced them to take me to Starbucks, lol. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that it was only hot coffee (which I don't really like from Starbucks), so I was kinda bummed. I desperately wanted a caramel frappucino, but alas. I could not have one. And the hot coffee kinda blew. And the poor kid behind the counter was annoyed by how many free coffees he was giving out. Dad tipped him.

Um...yeah, then we came home. The title of this post is from Cash Cab. These guys were considering doing the video bonus, and one of 'em said, "I'm vetoing." and another one said, "...are you fucking serious?!" I just thought it was hilarious, PLUS, vetoing=election themed, lol, so it's not completely random.

Oh, DUDES. Kelly (of "Shoes" fame, of course) was at OSU last night for a FREE fucking performance. I'm annoyed, cuz I had no idea. But a friend of mine went and she said it was hilarious and she got a picture with Kelly and GAH SO JEALOUS. X] And because it NEVER gets old...

Shoes...shoes...shoes...omigod...shoes... )

That's about it, I think. I believe mom, dad and I are gonna stay up and watch Indecision 2008 and perhaps some regular network coverage. I'm SO fucking excited. I'm feeling kinda sick, so maybe I can convince teh rents to let me stay home tomorrow. ;] A girl can dream, can't she?

I'm sure I'll be blogging a bit later during Indecision and such. WHOOOT GUYS IT'S FINALLY HERE!!!

I Say, "Hi...And You'd Better Say 'Hi' Back, Damn You!"
Hello people!

GUYS! HOLY FUCK GUYS! TOMORROW'S ELECTION DAY! GAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

If you can't tell, I'm fucking excited. I've tried and tried, but I'm not allowed to stay home tomorrow. Alas, I shall try to have a good time in school until I can get home. Thankfully, mom can pick me up, so we'll be heading straight home from school and I can catch coverage immediately at...1:30-ish. *is stoked* :D

Okay. *breathes* I had another vivid dream last night. This time, I dreamt that I stayed home today. In my dream, you see, I "woke up" at 10:00 AM and strolled out into the living room. I asked mom and dad, "So, why am I staying home today?" and they said, "Meh." I replied, "Okay." and went back to my room, lol.

Then I had a second part of the dream that was completely independent of the first part's plot. I saw a friend of mine, Bosco, and his girlfriend, Val, on the street, and there were a BUNCH of my classmates on the street with us. It just so happens that they were climbing into the Cash Cab as I walked up to them and I was like, "GAH GUYS! That's the Cash Cab!" And they were like, "Wha...?"

For some reason, Ben (host of CC) climbed out of the cab and was like, "I'm on break. Be back in ten." So he went to a cafe down the street and ALL of my classmates began blocking off the street and crowding around the cab so they could all watch Bosco and Val on teh show. Unfortunately, I woke up before Ben got back. *shrugs*

Let's see, photo was a work period, so I did my math homework then studied for the AP Gov. test I had to make up today. We didn't really do anything in math and I got my homework done in class, so WHOOT!  We had a debate in AP Gov. which I actually prepared our candidate for (Obama), but as it turns out, "Obama" had already prepared her own info, so all the info I gathered was thrown away. *headdesk* This is why I slack. XD

Also, I was told to make my AP Gov. test up during 5th period, so I got two more periods to study! :D We talked about blood spatter in forensics, which was kinda cool but kinda dull. Oh, in AP Gov. we discussed the levy (I've mentioned it a few times, but not really in-depth, I don't think) that HAS TO PASS or we'll be doing a LOT of cutting, including cutting ALL buses to high school, and that made me sad cuz the levy is totally NOT going to pass.

No one wants to pay anymore than they already do, especially with the ridiculous economy right now, so, yeah, I really truly don't see the levy passing. SO, that bummed me out cuz I need the bus, LOL. But, MindCandy cheered me up, as usual. I love that class. And Robbins sat next to me for a while! I'm kinda fangirly about him, he's pretty much adorably cute freakishly awesome, so, yeah, lol.

We had a free period (though we were sposed to be working on our zines, we just didn't, lol), so we all chatted and laughed and la-ti-da. At noon, I went to make up my test and it was...okay. I studied all effing day and I still struggled with a few questions. *shakes head* Oh, well. If I did poorly, I did poorly. Nothing I can do about it now. Chris gave me a ride home.

Mom was home, so we hung out in the kitchen and listened to Christmas music, cuz we're insane like that. We like to break out the Christmas music early. It was wonderful and jazzy and awesome. Do you guys like Manheim Steamroller? I LOVE THEM. They're, I think, my fave of our Christmas CDs. <3

Ahaha. J. Robert Oppenheimer was an answer on Cash Cab. J Robert Oppenheimer, J. Robert Oppenheimer, J. Robert Oppenheimer. Nyeh. Damn it. My night is ruined. Jeopardy isn't on tonight. Instead, it's an hour of Katie fucking Couric, who I despise. Grr. How dare she preempt Jeopardy.

The title of this post is from that Google meme I did last night. Pushingarock did it and hers said, "Kami says...*points to title*." And it made me laugh. X] Oh, god, guys. Obama's grandma passed away. Now he has no parental figures in his life. :'( I started crying a little when I heard that. Utterly depressing.

It's November 3rd and NaNoWriMo is already kicking my ass. I've only got something like 500 words. *headdesk* And I'm struggling cuz I wanna write my story but I think I'm trying too hard. Trying to force it. It's like I have writer's constipation. LOL. Oh, well, I shall keep trying.

WHOOT TOMORROW'S ELECTION DAY WHOOT!

Who Needs a Punch-Line When You Have the Word, "Crackwhore"?
Hello people!

I slept strangely last night. I woke up a few times, but I wasn't, like, fully awake. *shrugs* Ooh, and I had a dream that I was in this store that was selling a kitten (but it wasn't a pet shop), and the kitten was absolutely adorable and playful, though I can't remember what color its fur was. I bought it and named it Celtic cuz it had Celtic roots, I think. And it was just the sweetest, cutiest kitten ever. <3

Today is dad's birthday! WHOOT! AND we get to "fall back"! :D I got up at 10:00 and we gave dad a few presents. Then I did the dishes, took a shower, and hopped online for about an hour. We rushed to get Nick up and ready cuz he fucking NEVER gets up when we tell him to. Finally, we left.

One of the things we got for dad was a Frank Caliendo CD. We quite enjoy his impressions (though his TV show BLEW), so we popped the CD in during our ride to the bookstore. It was HILARIOUS. My fave Frank impressions: Bush (I'm a sucker for a good G.W. impression), Casey Kasem, and John Madden (though I only like him as Madden when he talks about Brett Favre...surrsly funny stuff). Speaking of his Madden impression, here's my FAVORITE bit he did on MadTV.

So, then we went to Barnes & Noble. It was a newly opened one, so it was BRILLIANT. Huge and expansive and awesome and all-encompassing. We wound up getting coffee, like we always do. It was unusually delicious. Very smooth, even though I forgot to ask for it to be double-blended. I got a couple things for celli cuz I have a package to send her, and then I got David Sedaris' "Holidays On Ice" and the NaNoWriMo book, "No Plot? No Problem!"

We went to have lunch at BJ's (that place where we had that ridiculously awesome waitress about a month ago, methinks) and it was pretty good, but our waitress this time around was a little, uh, blehhh. But that's okay, the food was still yum. Next, we stopped in at Best Buy and bopped around a bit. Then we went home.

Now we're watching "Journey to the Center of the Earth," which I really have no interest in, but mom and dad want me to be with them, so...yeah. I cannot BELIEVE tomorrow's Monday. This weekend went by way too fast. *headdesk* Luckily, I had no homework! MOOHAHA. XD Title=from teh Frank Caliendo CD, though I can't recall the context.

I think that's about it...oh! I wanna see as many of you as possible do the 30 Little Things Meme. Cuz surrsly? Porny FTW.

Love y'all - Mira/Doc/Kat *meow*
